I am a loyal follower of the Tony Hawk franchise, like most people I began with THPS2 for the PSone and held a steady interest in the series until the slim upgrades almost made me lose sight of the franchise. That is the final box art for the next entry in the long running (and long winded) Tony Hawk franchise, Tony Hawk’s Proving Ground. Activision also confirmed with TeamXbox that there will be a single-player demo of THPG coming to the Xbox LIVE Arcade in the coming weeks.
Personally, I’m done with Tony Hawk. Have been for a while. But if you’re a fan of the franchise, or just love skateboarding in general… go for it.

So, here is the trailer for the latest in the long, milked, and over-hyped Tony Hawk franchise, “Tony Hawk’s Proving Grounds”. It’s the basic blend of self-righteous skateboarding diatribe you’ve come to expect from the Tony Hawk franchise,with a mix of live-action and in-game footage. More Live-Action, though.
We do get to see a few shots of a couple of the game’s environments, as well as the skatepark editor that we’ve become accustomed to. Overall, the game looks nice, but if it plays like the other Tony Hawk titles, I’ll be bored with it after ten minutes.
