My personal review:As a skater, I was really excited when I knew that this game was coming to my WII console and I decided to try it, then I realised that this game was even better than what I expected it to be! La demo mostrara algunas de las mejoras del juego final como la modificación del entorno o la posibilida de utilizar un editor de video en pleno juego. Todavia no hay fecha para la aparicion de la demo en la PS3.

Activision revealed the soundtrack for Tony Hawk’s Proving Ground today. With over 50 songs from artists like Foo Fighters, The Clash, Smashing Pumpkins, The Rolling Stones, Nirvana and Beastie Boys, the soundtrack kicks some serious ass.
It was also revealed today that MCA of the Beastie Boys makes an appearance in the game as a secret unlockable character.
A few words from Tim Riley, worldwide executive of music at Activision: “Tony Hawk games are known for having incredible soundtracks and we’re really excited to have MCA, an icon of the music industry in our game as a secret character. Tony Hawk’s Proving Ground continues the tradition of great music and provides the perfect vibe for players as they create their own experience, no matter what kind of skater they choose to become.”

I haven't had a cigarette since Sunday, and much to my surprise I have not wanted one either. No cravings, nothing. Clearly it was a habit rather than an addiction. Of course, I haven't been to the pub since Sunday either so I haven't been around people smoking. First details and media have been released for the new Tony Hawk game for the DS, once again created by the excellent Vicarious Visions. I am a loyal follower of the Tony Hawk franchise, like most people I began with THPS2 for the PSone and held a steady interest in the series until the slim upgrades almost made me lose sight of the franchise. That is the final box art for the next entry in the long running (and long winded) Tony Hawk franchise, Tony Hawk’s Proving Ground. Activision also confirmed with TeamXbox that there will be a single-player demo of THPG coming to the Xbox LIVE Arcade in the coming weeks.
Personally, I’m done with Tony Hawk. Have been for a while. But if you’re a fan of the franchise, or just love skateboarding in general… go for it.

Seeing both EA and Activision release some new materials for their upcoming, very much competing, skating games made me want to put together a few comparison images and see how the two compare visually. Here they are, you be the judge:

So, here is the trailer for the latest in the long, milked, and over-hyped Tony Hawk franchise, “Tony Hawk’s Proving Grounds”. It’s the basic blend of self-righteous skateboarding diatribe you’ve come to expect from the Tony Hawk franchise,with a mix of live-action and in-game footage. More Live-Action, though.
We do get to see a few shots of a couple of the game’s environments, as well as the skatepark editor that we’ve become accustomed to. Overall, the game looks nice, but if it plays like the other Tony Hawk titles, I’ll be bored with it after ten minutes.
