How can you possibly offend what is already offensive to those of us who don't subscribe to superstition meant to control and frighten people? It is sometimes amazing the level of backwards thinking that religion has brought to this world.Incidents like this make me wonder why religious people are so insecure about their beliefs that they have to punish any little comment or remark questioning religion as something offensive. The spokesman said the naming of the teddy happened months ago and was chosen by the children because it is a common name in the country.

After loosing the mag's publisher, Joseph Lagani, to Glamour.com the group reconsidered their options and found the magazine unviable in the current market. Sweden's embassy in Pakistan has expressed regret over the publication of a cartoon depicting the Prophet Muhammad in a Swedish newspaper.Pakistan had complained about the cartoon, which depicted the head of the Prophet on the body of a dog. Sweden's government said it regretted any hurt but could not apologise as it was not responsible for the drawing and could not prevent its publication.Other cartoons depicting the Prophet sparked worldwide protests last year. When I think about some of the more underrated singer songwriters of our generation, names like John Fahey come to mind for sure, but so does Chuck Prophet, who I don’t think gets the recognition he deserves. Prophet has been putting out quality material for a long time now, spanning back to his first release back in 1990. What is even more impressive is that Prophet seems to have an amazing ability to blend and change with the times while not compromising his unique sound or abilities.
Such is the case with this new song from his upcoming album, Soap And Water. Prophet has teamed up with the good folks at Yep Roc Records for the first time for this new album and this lead single is really great. This is also the first album for Prophet since his 2004 release Age Of Miracles.
