LL Cool J will be appearing as a celebrity guest judge on one episode during the fifth season of Bravo’s hit TV show, "Project Runway." Other celebrity judges that will appear on the fifth season of the show include Sandra Bernhard, Apolo Ohno, Brooke Shields and RuPaul. Bravo Press confirms that Season Five will premiere in July. We are guessing that the Final Challenge will be at Bryant Park in September. This is similar to the season three schedule and is certainly welcome after the long break between seasons three and four. Stay tuned....

Here’s the new cast of Project Runway (a.k.a. the best show on television). They look like a pretty enthusiastic bunch, and Tim Gunn says they are “the most talented group of designers [yet], in terms of point of view and execution”(source). Well, their bios are certainly impressive, and many of the hopefuls are already in the middle of some pretty illustrious careers–lots of them have had their creations featured in prestigious stores and magazines as well as on the bods of celebrities. As usual, their backgrounds are deliciously diverse with two models, a former dancer, two first generation Americans, a designer who gets her inspiration from marionettes, a Korean immigrant, and a red carpet gown maker who hails from Ramallah counted among the ranks. Exciting!
Gutwrenchingly, we have to wait until November 14 for the extravaganza to begin. Ugh! Thats more than a month away still. But, I guess the anticipation is just part of the fun.

Unlike the fame found with some reality show contestants, Project Runway winners don’t really seem to translate well as celebrities into the world. Jeffrey Sebelia, the season three winner who was inspired to try out for the show after talking to his friend Santino, from season two, is one such PR star who is now broke.
The show gives winners $100,000 to help them get a career started, but once Jeffrey paid off his debts and accounted for the time he lost during the taping of the show, he didn’t have much left. He still gets mobbed by fans on the streets sometimes, but the real business is trickling in very slowly, and his own business is hurting from the time off he spent to be on Project Runway.
His biggest claim to fame after the show was probably the suit he made for Seal, but other than that he hasn’t been having much success. His line is still edgy, but his prices are too high to the young crowd that is his main market, with t-shirts starting at $100 and dres
