Gordon Brown, the UK Prime Minister has chosen to spend his Summer holiday in the UK.   He’s been reading the Europe a la Carte blog and decided that there’s so much to see and do in the UK that you don’t need to jet off to foreign shores to have a great holiday!  His precise holiday location has not been divulged, so I don’t know if he will holiday in his and my native Scotland. I have publicly supported three petitions on the Prime Minister's epetitions web site... and none of them have succeeded. That is, all of them have been rejected with a formal response - there is no record on the site of successful petitions, I note.
