      Vice-presidents and the electoral map
HI everybody. This is my prediction on how the electoral map will look like in the 08 election. The first picture is what I think the map will look like when Obama goes up against McCain. I'm not factoring in vp on this map. Obama would be leading 313 to 225. The second map I had an Obama-Clinton ticket. Now Clinton here Clinton is able to bring her voters from McCain to Obama or from not voting

Leadership Lessons From One of the Greatest U.S. Presidents
Abraham Lincoln genuinely was born in a log cabin. The fact that he went on to become president, and to lead the country through the most difficult period of its history, is truly remarkable. Most successful people started out with all the advantages. In 1832, Lincoln was defeated in an attempt to become Speaker of the Illinois legislature. In 1843 he was defeated in an attempt to win nomination

Little-known green factoids about US presidents throughout history Presidents come in many different shades of green, much like the dollar-bill green, sometimes puke green in times of national emergency. But never mind that. Let's enjoy these choice factoids: George Washington—first president, 1789-1797•    Washington was the only president ever to be elected unanimously. No campaign trail to speak of—imagine the carbon savings! The cancelled FOX and CNN election specials alone probably could have powered every home in the nation! •    Also, showing extreme patience and willpower, Washington had his men row him across the Delaware. Not once did he rev up the outboard engine.•    As a boy, little George (of the famous cher

Reading all the astrological information about this important sign change, I've pondered the many words of wisdom and predictions about Pluto in Capricorn, but it wasn't until last evening as I was listening to Coast To Coast AM and the guest, John Hogue, that I had my 'aha' moment. John was speaking of the possible entrance into the presidential race of New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg. Listening to John talk about Bloomberg is when it hit me! Bloomberg is so Pluto in Capricorn! Of course!Pluto is symbolized by corporations, big business, and powerful men who already have lots of money and power--all of which fits Michael

Number 528Presidents of the USA"Lump"(1995).Genre:Alt Rockart by LuigiLAmericans don't like foreigners messing (discussing) with anything about their politics. As far as they are concerned only Americans citizens can vote for an American president. Fair enough & reasonable. But since it seems to affect us all worldwide, it is a shame we cant all vote. I'm sure then that Kerry would have won the last election and "Certified Loony Tune" George Bush would have been sent packing back to the hole he came from, PDQ. But imagine this, if the democratic countries of the world could vote, who would be sure to say that Ron Paul would be a shoo in? One would only hope commonsense would prevail, as i hope the Americans do next year as well. What makes a good song? Well its really simple, you have to go no further than listen to whatever song the Beatles made early to mid 60's or even today with songs like "Hey Ya" by OutKast or "Catch my Disease" by Ben Lee. The Presidents Fitness Challenge
By: Kadence BuchananIn an effort to keep the citizens of the United States in shape and healthy, the presidential fitness challenge has been created. As an effort to enthuse both children and adults alike in matters of exercise, in this article, we'll be discussing in-detail the president's plan for fitness success. When it comes to the fitness of children, the presidential fitness challenge has a wide scope. It urges children to perform the following steps: choose an activity, get active, track your activity, and order your award. Children are encouraged to take part in any physical activity that they desire, including such low-intensity workouts as long walks or highly intense sports, such as basketball. The goal that the president's challenge has set is for children to exercise 60 minutes per day for at least 5 days of the week for at least 6 weeks. For those who cannot fully dedicate for a six-week span, however, 8 weeks are allowed in which to complete the required 6. Next, chil

John McCain: Only Christians Should Be Presidents!
John McCain’s efforts to pander for right-wing Christian votes reached a new level when he told the nation of his belief that only Christians were qualified to run for the presidency. He claimed the “Constitution established the United States of America as a Christian nation.” McCain said, “I admire Islam. There is a lot of good principles in it. But, I just have to say in all candor that since this nation was founded primarily on Christian principles, I prefer someone I know who has a solid grounding in my faith.” There is NO mention in the Constitution of the United States of America about God or Christian principles. The men who wrote the document were quite clear they were NOT establishing a nation based on Christian principles. Actually, the Puritans regarded the Old Testament as of equal importance to their religion as the New Testament. I guess McCain believes Senator Joseph Lieberman had no right to run for the vice presidency. McCain has insulted

Each team consists of 12 players and the teams play singles and doubles events, which consist of both alternate shot and best ball formats (also called "foursome" and "four ball" matches). There is no prize money for this tournament and any money the this tournament makes goes to charity. How they qualifyMembers of the U.S. Team are selected based on earnings from the 2005 World Golf Championships until the 2007 PGA Championship.International Team players for The Presidents Cup 2007 will be chosen on the basis of the Official World Golf Ranking through the 2007 PGA Championship. Thoughts on the Presidents speech
I watched President Bush earlier tonight giving his speech about Iraq and I had meant to take notes on what I thought were the high points. However, in the end there was nothing new, just the same old rah rah team lets fight the bad guys over there so they don’t come over here. And while I certainly do not agree with the whines and whimpers of the Democratic response (have they an opinion other than opposite of George Bush?) I saw nothing particularly new or positive said by the President. When was the last time America declared war? I mean a full tilt formal declaration of war against another country. How about World War II. Yes, we have been at war any number of times since then but these have generally been “police actions” from the Korean War to the present. Moreover, when did we stop winning decisive victories? Interesting coincidence is it not. If I had the chance, I would ask him if the surge is working so well now why didn’t we do that from the start. For three years, peopl

New U.S. Dollar Coins Hoping to Renew Faces of Presidents
Through their unbreaking spirit to make the U.S. dollar coin popular, the U.S. Mint is once again releasing the one dollar coin with a new face. Well, 43 to be exact.Hoping to follow the huge explosion for numismatists and grandmothers that was the commemorative state quarters, these coins feature the faces of each U.S. president in the order that they served our country, with 4 being released each year. They have already released Washington and Adams, with obviously Jefferson following this Month.Another hope by this project, in addition to resurrecting this defunct currency, is to educate the public. Only 30% of people in a telephone survey set up by the Gallup Organization knew that Jefferson was our third president, and only 7 percent could name the first four presidents in their correct order. Sad.And don't let me tell you what the rests of the percentages were 2% could name the next 4 . But the U.S. mint is hoping to up this number, with having educational resources on their w

Nicklaus, Player fill out Presidents Cup teams
By Steve DiMeglio, USA TODAY Jack Nicklaus added two talented but inexperienced players to the U.S. Presidents Cup team with his wild-card selections. International captain Gary Player added a national hero and a player who has Tiger Woods by the tail in match-play competition. Nicklaus and Player announced their picks Monday, finalizing the 12-man teams that will meet Sept. 27-30 at Royal Montreal. In the match-play event, the Americans hold a 4-1-1 edge against an International team chosen more…

TULSA — This time, the kids will have to carry the weight. Presidents Of The United States Of America - Lump (1995)
Presidents of the United States of America were one of the most unlikely success stories of the post-grunge alternative rock scene in Seattle. Where the rest of their Seattle brethren traded in heavy guitars and heavy angst, the Presidents rejected torment for humor, writing short, simple, and absurd punk songs that relied more on goofy attitude than sludgy riffs and tormented screams. It was a formula that worked, as the group's self-titled debut album became a double-platinum record much to the surprise of many critics, music industry insiders, and the band itself.Childhood friends Chris Ballew (lead vocals, two string basitar) and Dave Dederer (three-string guitbass, backing vocals) played in a number of groups and projects before forming the Presidents of the United States of America around 1990. The duo recorded a demo tape, which began circulating around the Seattle musical community and, in the process, earning them a cult following. Drummer Jason Finn, a member of Love Battery

      ROAD TO THE PRESIDENTS CUP
If the Presidents Cup field was selected today, the United States team would have three rookies (Zach Johnson, Brett Wetterich, John Rollins). Rollins would be the only true rookie — Johnson and Wetterich played in the Ryder Cup in 2006. Johnson’s win in the AT&T Classic all but assures him a place on the squad. Scoitt Verplank, who won this month in the EDS Byron Nelson Championship, is making a late push to make the Presidents Cup squad for the second straight more…

Sen. Sam Brownback (R-Kansas) and former Gov. Mike Huckabee (R-Arkansas) headed to Florida to remind voters what the real priorities in America should be...Finding a way out of Iraq? Nope.Rebuilding our alliances around the world? NahEffectively fighting terrorism? NOTPutting together an energy policy the weens us off oil and onto cheaper, more environmentally friendly forms of energy? Yeah sureEducation? Poverty? Restoring the middle class? Not in our lifetime.Nope, what's really important is banning gay marriage (and for that matter all gay rights,) banning abortion and turning America into a Christian Theocracy.Yep, who needs allies, cheaper cleaner energy, or a middle class anyway, so long as we don't have gays or unwed mothers, and everyone's going to church, we're fine. This is my beef with the GOP.

Sabres Shutout Capitals to Clinch the Presidents’ Trophy
The Buffalo Sabres’ 2-0 shutout of the Washington Capitals clinched the Presidents’ Trophy.  While Detroit creamed Chicago  7-2 and is tied in points with Buffalo, the Sabres have more wins.  Buffalo still has one game to go tomorrow, against the Flyers, but Detroit has wrapped up their regular season. The Sabres’ franchise-record 53rd win was enough to lock up the team’s first Presidents’ Trophy title and home-ice advantage throughout the Stanley Cup playoffs that begin next week. Buffalo will wrap up the regular season Sunday at Philadelphia. As a bonus, Tim Connolly scored a goal in his first game back since sustaining a concussion in last year’s playoffs. WANNA BE PRESIDENTS
wanna be presidents ( http://www.wannabepresidents.com/ ) is an aggregator of blogs for US 2008 presidential hopefuls. built with feevy (http://www.feevy.com/), wanna be presidents aggregates all presidential bloggers (currently 16 by their count) into three categories: republicans, democrats, and independents. wanna be presidents is an easy and effective way to view different campaigns on the same page.because feevy is built upon RSS, wanna be presidents relies on candidates' RSS feeds. in building the site, david de ugarte and i were quite surprised to discover that many republican presidential candidates, including john mccain, duncan hunter, and tom tancredo, have not integrated RSS into their web presences. no RSS?!? - who is advising these guys?

      SUN: Presidents, presidents and…
Hey, it’s Sunday Morning Reading time! And we’re doing it in a very quick way because I’m a little pressed for time getting ready for this week’s Secret Circus! So, let’s roll. This week, RightWingNews.com took a poll of 63 conservative bloggers on a couple of issues of the day. Two quick items from that: 4) Do you think mankind is the primary cause of global warming? Yes (0) — 0% No (59) — 100% 6) Which of the following Democratic candidates do you think would be the toughest opponent for a Republican candidate in 2008? A) Hillary Clinton (38) — 63% B) John Edwards (9) — 15% C) Barack Obama (13) — 22% Not unrelated, I’ve added a few new blogs to the links on the right side of this page. Included is Oh-Ate, which aggregates all of the blogs of major presidential candidates (with a couple of exceptions, for example Bill Richardson’s blog can’t be stripped in the necessary way). It makes for an interesting bir

This Is How We Get Idiot Presidents
I am so sick and tired of these issues being considered in Presidential Races. Why can't we focus on the issues concerning American citizens and this nation rather than judge these people based on race, gender, ethnicity, religion, etc.I'm not a fan of Mitt Romney, but I will defend his right to NOT be judge based on the fact that he is a Mormon. His religion does not make him less of a better choice for President. Clearly, he is not Warren Jeffs and Massachusetts did not turn into an isolated LDS cult. We are doing a disservice to our country by ruling out potentially great leaders because of something stupid like their religious choices, their race, their gender, etc. Perhaps our best leaders may be women, Mormon, Jewish, African-American, Latino, Atheist, Homosexual...but we'll never know if we are willing to eliminate them for that reason. This is how idiots become Presidents...we limit our choices to Alpha Male White Anglo-Saxon Protestants. We should have learned by now that a

Bush Borrowed More Money Than 42 Presidents Combined
I couldn't believe of what I had read.  Bush borrowed more money than the amount of money that borrowed by the 42 presidents of the pasts combined.  Based on U.S. Treasury, from 1776-2000, the combined borrowed money of the past 42 presidents added up to $1.01 trillion, but from 2001-2004, Bush had borrowed $1.05 trillion.  Just remember this though, the wars of Iraq and Afghanistan are still ongoing, and the costs are continue to rise for these overdue wars.  Are we going for Iran too?  I hope not!  I bet most of the money that U.S. borrowed probably from China.  More at house.gov.
