Francisco Cordero has reportedly reached a preliminary agreement on a four-year contract with the Cincinnati Reds. The contract is reportedly $46 million. The deal, which includes a club option for a fifth year, is subject to Cordero passing a physical exam. “There still isn’t anything concrete,” Cordero said. “I would have liked to stay in Milwaukee, but it’s not up to me. We will see what happens with the management and the owners of the Brewers, because we are willing to hear their offers.” Doug Melvin, Brewers general manager have offered Cordero a four-year, $42 million deal with an option for a fifth year.

Loudoun County home sales for the month of September will more than likely be the lowest in almost 5 years.   With only 2 days left in the month, total sales for Loudoun County stand at 215 and will finish somewhere near 250.  Not since December of 2002 have sales for the county been below 300 for any month.  The liquidity crisis that shot interest rates up for jumbo loans, the rising foreclosures and the stubborn level of inventory have finally taken their toll on the demand side of the equation.  We will probably see a decrease in median sales prices of 3-5% in the fourth quarter in order to stimulate flagging demand. Good for him and good for them!!One of my art instructors told me once that you can't paint unless you can draw. I have lived it and it is really true....it all starts with drawing. So this portrait is beginning with a small drawing and when I get to the painting I will then have the color issues to work out. I'll be working on "dailies" in between my sessions with this little fellow...but if I don't post each day, you'll know what I am working on. :)
