The leasing of cars can get a bad rap in the press; this is mainly due to overcomplicated leasing procedures and a handful of unscrupulous operators who have ripped off customers in the past. At the moment it is estimated that around twenty percent of car transactions are now leases. This figure should continue to grow as buyers see the benefits of leasing over ownership. Some believe that buying a
When shopping this weekend, how can we avoid the crowds at the giant box plant nursery? You can't! Remember last year, how you hated the jammed parking lot; and when you finally squeezed into the last parking spot how you were stuck in the checkout line fuming while the cashier tried to locate the price of an unmarked item? The customer in front of you has loaded up his cart with half the store an
So Thursday I was still aching like hell from the gym and my random drive to and from Manchester, so got abuse off John for saying I really wasn’t in the mood for the gym or anything, altho we did have a nice cloth delivery, and Mark shouted “Where’s Wiggy hiding… got a job that’ll [...]
We all know children are increasingly facing the need to diet and follow weight loss programs. Like their parents, young people are taking in too many calories and failing to get as much exercise as they require for optimum health. The proof is in the pudding, as they saying goes.

I run a little online Big Book Study group* and one of our members, Georgette from NY had this to say, “I wanted to use the word recovering so I could justify my slips by saying I am after all only a recovering person. I am not done, just more excuses. I have come to [...]
These days many of our short-term and long-term needs are taken care by the banks and financial firms. These institutions have devised many financial instruments to cater to various financial needs. You can opt for a personal loan if you want to buy a new car for yourself. You can opt for a debt consolidation loan if you are trapped in a bad debt. Sometimes you may need to refurbish your home for the upcoming wedding in your home. You can opt for a home improvement loan for this purpose. You can also get a loan for the wedding expenses. Secured Loans are always the most convenient loans. Banks may feel high risk in providing a huge amount to a stranger. So, sometimes before granting a loan they ask for a security and they provide a loan by calculating the value of that security. In t
Risk management is a relatively new and evolving field. Risk management usually refers to the process of identifying, measuring, controlling, and minimizing uncertainties which may directly or indirectly affect a desired outcome of a system. A great challenge indeed.Any process or procedure we can think of holds many uncertainties. Risk management tries to identify these uncertainties, assign probabilities and possible harm to each and every one and acts to minimize those risks. One of the most counter intuitive questions in risk management basics is: What is the difference between risk and uncertainty? There are actually many differences; some are of the utmost importance to every organization and every manager. When every possible option and outcome is known a decision is said to be taken under certainty. Many academic models assume certainty due to their basic function of explaining and prediction. These are also the standards most models are judged by. The recent retreat from certain
I’ve been busy reading up on the arguments for/against government since my last post about it. I picked up a book (Universally Preferable Behavior) by Stefan Molyneux that I think solidifies the argument against the need for the state and has a much more solid argument for man-based ethics than I have read before. Since this is a relatively new subject to me (compared to Objectivism) I’m going to take my time before I lay out my argument here. For now, if you are interested reading about this new argument for objective, rational, man-based ethics (that I think is more cohesive and logical than Objectivism) pick up this book. Here’s an introduction by the author himself.
Mr. Molyneux has a good background in philosophy and is an admirer of Ayn Rand. He found som
If you are in search of financial assistance, where no security is required, then why not opt for these loans which never demand any security. Take finance for any purpose with low rates of interest against no asset provided as security. Requiring no home as security, the unsecured loans are considered to be less risky for the borrower. Here, the loan borrower can avail cash ranging from 5,000 to a sum of 25,000, which is needed to be repaid with in a period of 5 to 10 years.
Is it Easy to Avail?
The availing for unsecured loans is not as hard as that. Due to the expansion of the financial market, there is a heavy rise in the number of loan lenders resulting a heavy competition among the unsecured loan lenders in the UK market. {summary}We’ve been home from our little excursion for three hours. As soon as I got into the house I sat down to try to get some writing done.
I have produced approximately negative one paragraphs of material because of distractions. Furthermore, the kid is working himself into a exhaustion-fueled frenzy, and I can’t concentrate for all the noise. If it weren’t after nine, I’d drive to Wal-Mart (*spit*) and buy some ear plugs.
I am an atheist who dismisses the concept of gods as incomprehensible and lacking in evidence. I also believe that the natural world is all that exists and find great joy, beauty, and meaning in this world. This post continues the What I Believe series by examining my belief that living in reality (i.e., the natural world) is preferable to living in fantasy or delusion. While I suspect that this statement of belief will not be controversial to most readers, that does not mean that it should be accepted uncritically.Reality is Both Natural and ObjectiveI previously stated that "reality" refers to to the natural world and only to the natural world. Gods and other supernatural entities are not part of the natural world by definition, and this excludes them from reality itself.Beyond this, I believe that there is such a thing as objective reality. I mean this in the sense that there is an independent reality which exists outside of human consciousness. Just because I cannot see the tree wi
