The past few weeks I've been reminded in a bunch of ways of just how woefully inadequate I've been when it comes to praying to God in all things. As Christians I feel we constantly need to be in relationship with Christ, seeking guidance, asking for things we need and praising him for all the blessings he has given us. In the midst of our hectic days I totally forgot to post an update on both Tiffany and Apryl. I am so glad that after hearing the first report of Tiffany having a mass discovered in her abdomen to wait before panicking. It was indeed as I expected....they once again read the x-rays wrong. Or rather what was seen on the x-rays did not show up on the c-scan or sonogram. The miracle of prayer or the incompetence of the hospital ....you decide. Tiffany is still in the hospital and on morphine because she is in so much pain. As of this morning she developed an ileus in her intestines. This is when the normal peristalisis movement of the intestine just stop working. This seems to be common in children with severe cerebral palsy. Being Christian e-book publishers as well as the fact that we just celebrated the 'National Day of Prayer', we tend to get a lot of e-mail asking questions regarding prayer and the receiving of God's 'good things'. Say a Little Prayer Squirrels had overrun three churches in town. After much prayer, the elders of the first church determined that the animals were predestined to be there. "Who are we to interfere with God's will?" they reasoned. Soon, the squirrels multiplied. The elders of the second church, deciding that they could not harm any of God's creatures, humanely trapped the squirrels and set them free outside of town. Three days later, the squirrels were back. It was only the third church that succeeded in keeping the pests away. The elders baptized the squirrels and registered them as members of the church. Now they only see them on Christmas and Easter.
