9ff Porsche Cayman CR42.

Every unit will also come with a Porsche Design briefcase containing a Flat Six Chronograph, pocket knife, a pair of sunglasses, a pen and a key ring, all colored in black to match the car.Since this is a limited-production of an already limited-production vehicle, getting one for yourself will be difficult. Porsche Cayman S Edition 1
Porsche is to expand its mid-engine coupé model range with the launch, in November 2007, of the Cayman S “Porsche Design Edition 1”, a limited-edition special series. Porsche has incorporated various design disciplines into this very special mid-engine coupé: the black exterior emphasizes the purist nature of the 295-bhp sports car and, at the same time, is a nod to Porsche Design and the famous Chronograph 1s designed by Ferdinand Alexander Porsche precisely 35 years previously. This look, cultivated by Porsche Design, imparts additional luxury and class on the Cayman S: the black leather and Alcantara upholstery harmonizes with refined details such as the instrument dials, the layout of which reflects that of all Porsche Design chronographs. Even the center console, dashboard, and door trims glisten in black, while the three-spoke sports steering wheel, the gear lever, the handbrake grip, and the roof lining are clothed in non-slip black Alcantara. Porsche Cayman S Puts Powerful New Bite Into the Sports Coupe Segment
With a powerful engine and amazing dynamic dexterity, Porsche’s new two-seat coupe can be fierce and exciting to encounter. Yet with its sleek exterior lines and luxurious interior, the newest Porsche sports car provides an environment as calm and comfortable as a chic Caribbean resort. While based on Porsche’s acclaimed two-seat roadster, the Boxster, the Cayman’s fixed-roof design adds rigidity that enhances the mid-engine architecture’s dynamic balance and capabilities. To better suit this enhanced potential, engineers built an even more powerful horizontally opposed “boxer” engine for the Cayman S. The 3.4-liter engine punches out 295 horsepower (SAE). With the Cayman S enclosed in a sleek and aerodynamic body, the engine propels the newest Porsche from a standing start to 60 miles per hour (96 km/h) in just 5.1 seconds. The car eclipses the quarter-mile sprint in 13.6 seconds and achieves a top speed on the test track of nearly 171 mph (275 km/h).In testing around German

      RUF launches Porsche Cayman-based CTR3
Exactly 20 years after we saw the original CTR, German tuning house RUF has announced the introduction of its third generation CTR3 coinciding with the launch of its new plant in Bahrain. The latest version will be based on the Porsche Cayman and like the original, the CTR3 will be one of the fastest Porsches on offer when it's released. Starting with the Porsche Cayman body, RUF has utilized racing technologies first seen on its 911-based RT12 offering. Powering the CTR3 is a twin-turbo 3.8L flat six engine pumping out 700hp at 7,000rpm with torque topping out at 890Nm. To save weight its developers added several unique body panels made from lightweight aluminum and carbon-fiber as well as a new lattice tubing spaceframe. Drive is sent to the wheels via a rumoured seven-speed sequential automatic gearbox that's said to allow the CTR3 to reach a top speed of 360km/h. When the original CTR was released in 1987, it out-performed many of the supercars of its era including cars like th

      2007 Porsche Cayman Aerokit
Porsche has begun to supply Aerokits for its Cayman and Cayman S sports cars. This new customizing equipment consists of add-on spoiler lips for the standard front-end apron panel and a new, fixed rear spoiler.Designed by engineers at the Porsche Development Center in Weissach, the Aerokit gives the Cayman even more "bite' and even sportier, more dynamic looks. The front spoiler lips emphasize the visual power of the big air inlets in the front apron. The new, fixed rear wing creates a strong visual accent even when the car is standing still. Along with the car's appearance, its aerodynamics have also been upgraded. The Aerokit's components, optimized in Porsche's wind tunnel, reduce lift at the front and rear axles, making the car even more stable at high speeds. The aerodynamic components have been carefully matched and must therefore only be installed as a complete set. All the items in the Aerokit are supplied in the car's body color and harmonize well with the Caymanâ€
