How to Make Popsicle Stick Purses
In one of my Friday night roamings at the bookstore I came across a craft book, Nifty, Thrifty and Kitschy Krafts by Leah Kramer, that had a pattern for popsicle stick purses. The idea was so quirky and unusual (and with my love of handbags being legendary) I knew I had to give it a try.I'm afraid I have to say (but with the utmost humility of course) that I like the design I came up with better

Early Edition UK w/ DJ POPSICLE STICK HORSE!
What up y'all I just want to drop you guys a new mix that I got early this morning in an e-mail. Apparently this d00d DJ PopsicleStick Horse (no idea what that name means) is resident for a month on UK's Early Edition, London Radio. I couldn't find much info on him but his 37 minute mix has got the likes of Daft Punk, Justice, M.I.A., Cut Copy, Shinichi Osawa, etc. It's pretty rad stuff. You should host your own party tonight! Lob that mix in! DJ PopsicleStick Horse - Early Edition Set 5.08.2008

      Popsicle Toes
I've only heard this song once before -- on the radio passing through Eugene, Oregon in 1997. The name has stuck with me ever since, so I looked it up on Youtube. Lo and behold, the artist is still performing, and here's a nice recent video. Great song! Popsicles on Whidbey Island.

In a northern Japanese forest in early spring as the days begin to lengthen some trees begin to pump sap. But the air temperature is still many degrees below freezing, cold enough for icicles to form.Where maple branches have broken in a storm, icicles of sweet sap take shape; creating a tempting delicacy for small birds. As these still frames from an NHNZ Images film show a long tailed tit hovering under the sapsicle. Each icicle may last only a few days. The rising temperatures mean that even as a Japanese white eye licks at it, the frozen delicacy is already melting. *Wiping the shit off my boots* Well, as some of you may have noticed, my blogs were down again yesterday.
