The average of these polls show a 6-point advantage for Clinton, 49% to 43%. 8% are undecided. If all undecided go to Clinton, she will get a 14-point victory. That is unlikely at this point. Best case scenario for Clinton looks like a 10-point victory. Best case for Obama is a 5 to 6 point victory. Again, it all depends on turnout. If turnout is higher than expected in the Philadelphia metro area, then we are looking at a moral victory for Obama. If turnout is higher than expected in rural Pennsylvania, then we are looking at a few more weeks of this Democratic primary. The secondary victory will be the media spin. This according to a  TIME Poll. It really does not matter however, because Obama has a lead in delegates.   I guess, that is why I don't understand the MSM's attempt to paint this as an attempt to steal the nomination. Polls Show Obama Damaged by Reverend Wright [Digg]
The most recent results, reported March 24, showed Clinton ahead 46 percent to 44 percent. In other words, over two weeks, Obama was down 4 percentage points, Clinton up 5 percentage points—major movement, given the usually glacially show movement in Rasmussen numbers.

      McCain Leading in the Polls
From Rasmussen as of today:"Looking ahead to the General Election in November, John McCain continues to lead both potential Democratic opponents. McCain leads Barack Obama 49% to 41% and Hillary Clinton 50% to 42% (see recent daily results). New polling shows McCain leading both Democrats in Georgia and Arkansas. In Minnesota, the race is very close."

      Two Polls Show Shaheen Leading
There are a couple of polls taken this past week on the New Hampshire Senate race showing Democrat Jeanne Shaheen leading incumbent Republican John Sununu. The earlier poll, from American Research Group, shows Shaheen with 47% support to Sununu's 33% support, while the later poll, from Rasmussen, shows Shaheen leading 49%-41%. While Sununu imo is the most endangered Senate incumbent this year from either party it's a bit early to pass judgement on his reelection chances. He's the incumbent, which has definite advantages, and he also defeated Shaheen six years aso to win his Senate seat despite the fact that Shaheen was then a very popular sitting governor. These polls themselves aren't damning either, as Shaheen's lead in the Rasmussen poll isn't statistically significant and the probl

      Polls moving to the right...
While Obama still shows a small lead in my CCPA (weighted averages) the polls are definitely moving away from him. Both of the daily tracking polls show McCain opening up a lead and a recent Zogby poll showing Nader in the race shows McCain up 6 points. The timing is such that a couple of media polls just came out showing Obama in the lead. But CBS/NY times had Obama up 12 just a couple of weeks ago, and now the lead is down to 5. Likewise, CNN had Obama up 8 before and now they show a 1 point Obama lead. If you simply look at the latest 6 polls, McCain acually leads 46.2% to 44.8%. There is no doubt in my mind that the recent coverage of Obama and his church has changed the dynamic. But I think the other issue is that while the Democrats are in-fighting, John McCain is actually being al

Pennsylvania Polls Debunk Clinton Electability Argument
Noam Scheiber has presented some additional evidence to debunk Clinton’s big state argument, which I discussed yesterday. Clinton argues that her victories over Obama in certain big swing states means she would have a better chance in the general election. While she does cherry pick her examples to make this case, for the sake of [...]

Gear up for polls next year: Sonia Gargi Parsai NEW DELHI: Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Tuesday called upon her party MPs to prepare for the general elections “next year,” virtually ruling out, for now, the possibility of early polls.Speaking at a Congress Party Parliamentary meeting in Parliament House, she expressed the confidence that the party’s “outstanding record of achievements would earn it the trust and the mandate of the people once again.”Expressing “disappointment” over the Congress performance in the recent Assembly elections in some States, she said the party must learn its lessons. It lost prestigious elections in Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh and more recently in Tripura and Nagaland.Summarising what she expected of party members, Ms. Gandhi said: “We need

      Polls Closing in Miss.
The polls are closing in Mississippi where Barack Obama is predicted to win up to 60% of the vote. 33 delegates are at stake today. And with Obama in the lead by about 140 in the pledged delegate stakes, it should be another blow to the Clinton team. But not an unexpected one.Between 125,000 and 150,000 people were expected to vote today - up from just 100,000 four years ago. When taking into account the committed superdelegates, Obama still has a lead of just over 100. But there are still a large amount of superdelegates yet to commit to either candidate.Remaining states to decide on the nominee include, Pennsylvania, Indiana, North Carolina, Kentucky, West Virginia, Oregon, Puerto Rico, South Dakota and Montana.

Clinton and Obama Tied in Texas Polls
Looks like Obama and Clinton are in a dead heat in Texas...From CNN: A new CNN/Opinion Research Corp. poll suggests the battle for the Democratic presidential nomination between Sens. Hillary Clinton of New York and Barack Obama of Illinois is a statistical dead heat in Texas, which holds primaries March 4. In the survey, out Monday, 50 percent of likely Democratic primary voters support Clinton as their choice for the party's nominee, with 48 percent backing Obama. But taking into account the poll's sampling error of plus or minus 4½ percentage points for Democratic respondents, the race is a virtual tie. Two recent polls by other organizations also show the race statistically evenI'm going to stick my neck out and predict that the winner of the Texas primary will be....(drumroll)The

      Blogger Polls
A polling system is very essential to a blog. My observations are that visitors interact with the website using a voting system more than they do using comment system or sending email. This could be due to the "laziness factor" as interacting with the voting sytem takes just a click or two. Therefore my recommendation is to have a blog poll on your blog for making your visitors interact with your website/blog, keeping their laziness factor in mind. The poll that I found attractive enough to include in my blogs is from are others that you can try as well :://www.polldaddy.com/://www.pollpub.com/://www.blogpolls.com/
