At first glance it looks like a phone, and not a bad looking one at that in terms of how easy it looks to use, but that isn’t what people are getting excited about. The excitement centers on the black circle in between the screen and the keyboard, which you may think is just a standard scroll wheel. Well it is, sort of! It is also a mouse, or if you prefer a scroll wheel. That is right, Avago have developed a 3:1 device which allows you to elect your preferred method of input. Unfortunately the remote isn’t available to the public as of yet. Could it actually be a sales pitch by Avago to Logitech to include the input device on the next generation of Logitech Harmony devices? We shall wait and see. Betting that someday soon there will be computers in home theaters, Avago Technologies created an input device module that works like a mouse, scroll wheel or joystick depending on your situation and preference. Keep in mind, we're not talking about the picture of the remote here, just that little black circular input device. But this picture above has caused a bit of a stir, because its user interface and button layout is similar to the one used in today's Logitech Harmony 880 remote controls.Here's a trio of pics of the button in use in other devices, including a gaming joystick and a PDA. Looks like U.S. exchanges are pointing to a negative open this morning, but by no means is it a terrible decline. Oil futures are also selling off right now, which may ease tension and make way for another rally. As for foreign exchanges, most are somewhat neutral, but slightly lower overall.
