      Scott Weiland Pleads Not Guilty to DUI
      Originally posted Wednesday March 05, 2008 11:00 PM EST Singer Scott Weiland of the rock band Velvet Revolver pleaded not guilty Wednesday in a Los Angeles court to driving under the influence of drugs with a prior conviction.Weiland's attorney entered the plea on the singer's behalf. His next court date is April 4.The singer, 40, was arrested for DUI in L.A. on Nov. 21, and was freed on $40,000 bail the following day.Weiland has had several brushes with the law in recent years.In July 2004, he was ordered to complete a six-month drug program and serve three years probation after pleading no contest to DUI.If convicted of this latest charge, Weiland faces up to one year in jail, a $1,000 fine, and his car could be impounded for 30 days.

      Rapper Remy Ma Pleads Not Guilty in Murder Case
                 Grammy-nominated rapper Remy Ma pleaded not guilty to attempted murder and other counts Sunday in the shooting of a woman in a trendy Manhattan neighborhood.          Police found a woman with a gunshot wound to her lower torso early Saturday in the Meatpacking District, which is usually crowded with late-night revelers on weekends. Three blocks away, officers discovered a luxury SUV owned by Remy Ma, whose real name is Remy Smith. The vehicle was involved in a single-car crash and abandoned, police said Remy Ma turned herself in Saturday night.         She was charged with attempted murder, assault and weapon possession.        Yikes.... $hity for her

      The Game pleaded not guilty Thursday to punching and threatening to shoot a man during a pickup basketball game in South Los Angeles. Game is charged with three felony counts of making a criminal threat, possessing a firearm in a school zone and exhibiting a firearm in the presence of an officer.Game, who entered the pleas in Superior Court, remained free on $50,000 bail and faces more than five years in state prison if convicted.Prosecutors contend that during a Feb. 24 pickup basketball game, rapper punched an opposing player, then pulled a gun from his red Cadillac Escalade and threatened to shoot him.

      Nicole Richie pleaded not guilty today for driving under the influence. She wasn't in court, but she didn't have to be. Nicole was answering to charges that she was driving under stupid after she was pulled over for driving on the wrong side of the 134 freeway in Los Angeles. Nicole confessed to the cops on the scene that she had taken vicodin and smoked some weed.Um..how you gonna plead not guilty when you were driving on the wrong side, admitted to smoking weed and taking vicodin?
