Since then we’ve seen new and well-intended ”ethical codes” published, and marketing professionals everywhere were claiming that they’re committed to doing this right and those people who write those impersonal, irrelevant emails to bloggers have nothing to do with us. And we really meant it, especially for moms. After all, you represent the Holy Grail to marketers.  Women make 85% of all purchases at point of sale.  Women buy a lot more cars, new homes, PC’s and computer electronics, hardware and healthcare than m

      Three Steps for Retooling Pitches
Let’s face it.  Sometimes plans don’t work out.  And that’s why measurement tools are so critical.  You can do more than monitor, you can see when things aren’t working out… Before it’s too late. There’s enough time to retool the program. Success in any campaign always revolves around mapping the value proposition to the community in a manner that they care about.  Whenever I am asked to revitalize or examine a marketing campaign or pitch that has gone awry, the failure usually lies in understanding the organization’s stakeholders (Photo credit to meadowsa).  This very basic and classic approach to PR, marketing, communications and sales is so simple, yet for some reason it’s not easy. Breakdowns can occur in how it’s being communicated, what’s being communicated, and the actual value of the product/service. But our job must be results, so when this happens, it’s time

Always looking to learn something new that could improve my skills as a real estate agent (and have an excuse to go to Vegas), I began looking through the list of 200 classes and sessions available during the 4 day event. Wouldn't you think that most, if not all of the classes would be beneficial to agents in one way or another? Well, after looking through the colorful brochure, which outlined all of the classes in detail, I counted a total of only 37 classes or sessions that were not "taught" by a representative from or owner of the company who's product is being discussed directly or indirectly. That's about 19 percent of actual "teach something to someone else because you like giving back to your peers" versus "I can help you, but you need to buy my product or service". But AL-only managers under the belief that his 15 wins will be repeated in the mighty American League East this season would be wise to consider the following: Among starters who pitched at least 160 innings last year, Trachsel received a whopping 6.61 runs per nine innings from a powerful Mets lineup -- fourth in the Majors. To further emphasize the point, his 4.97 ERA ranked worst among all 15-game winners. Stay away.
