Tom has sent us in this great image of one of his own Raygun builds. “I have attached a tweeked image of one of the rayguns that I build, the “Isabel de La Vega”. I find things that remind me of rayguns, then fabricate the rest of the piece around them. The pieces end up at art shows at various conventions.”
For more information, visit Tom’s blog where he talks about his sculpts, pottery and the occasional chili recipe. More pictures of his artwork are available here. And be sure to check out his wares at DragonCon this weekend.

We came back from the Alternative Press Expo 2007 to find this waiting for us in our in box. Thanks for the great image Tori! And now, a word from the artist:

She has run an online portfolio at www.tasteslikeabiscuit.com for the past few years and is just now managing to make the jump from amateur to professional. Her first major illustration project is a graphic novel entitled “Case Files”, which is mostly about girls who carry guns, although it’s supposed to be about love and morals and lots other things. As a matter of fact, talking about this “professional” business, you should contact her sometime to talk about art and stuff. Tori really likes talking about art… and stuff.”
