This new husband and wife Champagne house is the product of two venerable Champagne families. Olivier Collard is the grandson of the great Rene Collard in the village of Reuil, one of the most respected and venerable recoltant-manipulant’s in all of Champagne.

I want to just put it out there that sometimes I have odd tastes in things that I think are funny, therefore this video is both funny and extremely entertaining to me. Since I don’t have much else going on this Sunday and I thought I’d share it if you are in the same boat: [...]
I've known jewelry designer Sonja Picard for around four years, and I have coveted almost all of the pieces in her collection since that time. Like all visionary designers, Sonja is constantly innovating and offering new lines, all of jewelry in silver and gold (and recently using precious gemstones) with a yogic influence.I've always been very interested in her journey as an artist, moving from l

Yet another reason to prefer (Patrick Stewart) Picard over (William Shatner) Kirk (found at a random fact site)
The mask used by Michael Myers in the original “Halloween” was actually a Captain Kirk mask painted white.
No? Don’t believe me?
Check here. Read it and weep all ye lovers of he who cannot keep his little Kirk in his pants if his life depended on it…
I am currently, rolling on the floor, laughing out loud, peeing my pants and kicking the dog.
I however, am far more attractive in pee-pee pants, than Fergie.

Jayleen and I are back to our old ways… arguing over Kirk and Picard. This is an old thing, going back to the fall of 2002. It’s five years later, and she just still doesn’t understand.
You could pop over there if you like, and leave your two bits worth on this very important and pressing issue if you like. I warn you though… if you’re a Kirk camper, you’re going to have to come up with some really good reason to explain why you’d want to share your beauty products with your mate (except the hair gel… he might be able to handle that one on his own), or why you’d want to have to spend the rest of your life on prescription drugs.

Captain Picard's Journal"Star Trek" may be so-24th-century, supplanted in the current sci-fi TV pantheon by the likes of "Battlestar Galactica" and "Stargate," but let's not forget its 35-year monopoly on fan dedication, its visionary message of inter-galactic peace, and its unqualified influence on the pajamas industry. It's only fitting that Captain Picard has his say, along with guest bloggers Katherine Janeway, Data, and the Borg Queen, among other Trek figures. One might wonder at the erudite captain's dishing the dirt about the Enterprise Christmas party, and his posts on life with Kirk might just trigger a cross-generational phaser battle. On the other hand, all those who have ever imagined themselves with long pointy ears while muttering "That's not logical" will enjoy the Deanna versus Jadzia entry. I’m not the world’s biggest Star Trek fan, but I gotta give it props where props are due and when it comes to excellence in kick assery, nobody does it better better than Patric Stewart as Captain Picard. Sure I likes me some Kirk, but I’m a Stewart man all the way. The upcoming Star Trek 20th Anniversary Picard & Command Chair from Diamond Select is sculpted by Art Asylum and is nearly a perfect replication of The Picard.
You can almost hear this plastic Picard saying, “Make it so.” This figure has 16 fantastic points of articulation. Better yet, Picard comes with his mighty Captain’s chair. If you’re a Star Trek fan chomping at the bit to get this figure (and really who could blame you), expect him to be released sometime in August.

The November 23 West Haven Voice contains an article entitled "Picard points to 3-step deficit-reduction". This article focuses in on three income components to reduce the indebtedness and to offset the shortfall:The recent sale of the city tax lien list for $1.05 on the dollar. (I find this surprising - why would a company pay MORE than what the outstanding taxes are worth? I think this must mean that West Haven will not get the interest or other penalties).Selling a second older tax lien list (will get less on the dollar, and apparently this contract is in the works - but if it is hard to collect money, anything is better than nothing, I suppose).Audit the city's business personal property list, and collect monies from businesses that are re-evaluated. (This is currently only in the RFP for the auditor. I wonder if this might be of limited use - too many businesses are really small potatoes in this town).Other items discussed:Building Oversight Committee has found $4 million to
Unfortunately, I was unable to attend last evening's City Council meeting, which accord to today's New Haven Register article entitled "Restless W. Haven taxpayers wonder: 'Why so many Obstacles?'" was attended by 133 people, crowded into the little City Hall meeting room. Therefore, the discussion below is second hand, and I invite anyone who was there to add to the comments, and I'll pull them up into the top level of the post, if they help enlighten us about the meeting.Residents who attended the meeting were very interested in hearing what Ginsburg and West River Crossing LLC (who have a tentative partnership agreement) had to say about his plan for developing a $225 million housing project in West River Crossing. However, the slideshow that Ginsberg had prepared was not seen, as apparently the City Council had previously contacted the presenters, suggesting an appropriate time for a presentation, other than the City Council meeting. It's not clear if that presentation wo
