If Deirdre's voice gets any deeper on Coronation Street, all she needs to do is get herself a blue rinse at Audrey's salon and we could have the new Phyllis Pearce on the Street. Mind you, Deirdre would then need to get herself a paramour to chase after rather than sit and mope at Ken in his cardi.
Congratulations to all the same sex partners in California who, as of yesterday, are now legally allowed to marry each other.
It's the best international news I have heard in ages.
And congratulations for its progressiveness to the Supreme Court of California who overturned the state's ban on same-sex marriage in a four-to-three decision.
Being one of four sisters, I feel I am an expert in how

Today, Memorial Day (Observed), seems a fitting occasion to share the backstory of MRS. LIEUTENANT. In honor of Mother’s Day and Father’s Day and my parents Ruth and Albert Zimbler, I thought I’d reveal some of the differences between my fictional character Sharon Gold in MRS. LIEUTENANT and myself. While Sharon Gold’s experiences as a new army officer’s wife in the spring of 1970 are based on my own, Sharon’s background is different than mine. Sharon was an anti-Vietnam War proteste

We had a really nice party Friday night. Some awesome conversation with some new friends and some old ones.Saturday Night's Pot Luck dinner was really nice as well, we had about 12 couples come for the dinner portion of the party. That makes it nice to be able to get to just sit and talk with people over some great food. After dinner was cleared up we moved into the regular party portion of the night, and despite so many people walking in and telling Phyllis Happy Birthday, she was still surprised. We had balloons ready for her and a cake, and some gifts as well from not only the staff but many of you. Thank you to everyone who helped make this birthday for Phyllis very special.Dave got Phyllis out on the dance floor for a slow dance, and she enjoyed very much dancing with all of you wonde

Phyllis Nelson - “Move closer”
Hey baby, you go your way
And Ill go mine
But in the meantime
When we’re together, touchin’ each other
And our bodies do what we feel
When were dancin’, smoochin’ and swayin’
Tender love song softly playin’
Move closer
Move your body real close
Until we-ee-ee-ee
Feel like we’re really makin’ love
Ooh-ooh, move closer
Move your body real close
Until we feel like we’re really makin’ love
So when I say sugar-ar and I whisper I love vou
We-e-ell I know youre gonna answer in the sweetest voice
Sayin’ my pretty la-ady
I love you too-oo-oo-oo-ooh well
There’s much room for passion, ooh-no-no
There’s no room for fears
When, the love flows smoothly between us, baby
my dear-ear-ear-ear-ear
Mooooove
Move closer
Move your body real close
Until we feel like we’re really makin’ love
Woh-oh-oh, move closer
Move your body real close (fade)
This is an excellent summation of the incredible miscarriage of justice perpetrated by the Bush administration upon two honorable men. This whole fiasco stinks to high heaven and I have no doubt goes all the way to the White House. It is going to be ironic as hell if this whole fiasco blows up in the Presidents face and the Democrats get the articles of impeachment they have such wet dreams about; but it's because of him doing something they are in favor of. ~RJH Townhall story link Let's prosecute drug smugglers, not Border Patrol agentsBy Phyllis SchlaflySaturday, February 17, 2007With mounting bipartisan criticism from Republican congressmen and Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., the Department of Justice has stepped up an unprecedented public relations campaign to defend its prosecution of former Border Patrol agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean, now serving 11- and 12-year prison terms. But new facts keep emerging to prove that this prosecution was a gross injustice. CNN jud
