This is my first post for the PhotoHunt meme. Theme for this week is "What IS That?". And that is a Sweet Potato Chips ready to get oven dry. Its become a popular small business at my local are. I hope someday this product will get it's popularity same as Pringles. :)
These are crabs ready to be cooked. One way of cooking it put them to boil, add necessary spices, then add coconut milk….Yummm!!! It is sad to say that I am allergic to it I just have to take my antihistamine medication if I want to eat those.
I have never done a Photohunt before (although I always wanted and checked for its theme every Saturday) but I thought today's happenings are just going perfect with the theme: What IS that?
Welcome...
Due to recent happenings we decided just to offer a post summary in our feed. For the whole post please visit our blog.
WHAT IS THAT ...in front of the Singapore National Museum? We were along Stamford road earlier and these sightings were in existance right in front of the museum.
a giant dancing girl ???
two planets colliding ???
For the next two weekend, the Singapore National Museum is filled with activities during the Night Festival at the Museum. Magi
I have been feeling under the weather lately and had to undergo several tests and procedures in the hospital the past weeks and had been quite daunting on me.
This week's theme just come in handy to say my thanks to sweet Aunty Lala who has been a great SUPPORT to me and Pato taking care of me whilst Pato's out night shift.

I’m late again for PhotoHunt, but what can I do? I am never home on weekends. I just got back from a weekend of beach and sand in Negros. Will post about it later.
My entry for this week is a shot I took last year of the Washington Monument in Washington D.C.
It looks [...]
My bright boy managed to put all his bright number cards in order! This went all the way out to the hallway, and once he realised they were not in numerical order he switched it all around - proud mummy moment!

I'm left with one hour of Internet access in my hotel room and I'm trying not to miss this week's PHOTOHUNT.
I got this BRIGHT coloured Nigerian clothing for my Dad in the market yesterday. I was really spoilt for choice as the colours really shouts at you but I settled for this BRIGHT yellow and blue combination.
Now back to my packing and head for the covers before I fl
When I found out this week’s theme for PhotoHunt, I immediately thought of its purest form—that which flows from a mountain. I couldn’t think of any mountain better than Mt. Banahaw.

This week’s photohunt theme was water so I found these photos of my husband that I took back in January. May I repeat… January… in Ireland… in the sea! He is a little bit nuts sometimes and decided it would be fun to see how the water was for swimming at that time of year. [...]
It’s PhotoHunt time once again.
I met this boy when I did my undergraduate thesis two years ago in Rizal, about three hours away from Manila.
We had to walk up a slope and then cross streams and log bridges to get to where he lived. The area had no electricity and no running water. The main [...]

This week’s theme for Photohunt is emotion. The below photos were taken just a few minutes after James proposed to me. We got engaged at Give It A Name Festival in London (a music festival) in April 2006. It was TOTALLY unexpected and looking back I don’t think anywhere else would have suited us so perfectly [...]
My EMOTION to the Great Singapore Sale (GSS) which is currently on going in Singapore is reflected on this TANGS paper bag......
You bet'cha I'M FEELING GREAT !!!!!
I thought of not joining this week’s PhotoHunt because I initially had no idea what to put out for the theme.
Until I saw this picture. I took it last year in downtown New York, where the World Trade Center used to be.

There's no way I can avoid a "bad hair" on a boat deck with the canadian winds blowing through without a snow cap. Just smile and think fabulous and gorgeousness...At least one of us is comfortably snugged in this picture....
Since missing out several weeks since we're out of our "nest", I thought I might instill something for this week topic. Our SELF potrait taken for the United Nations stamps in New York.
I’ve been meaning to play in Photohunt, which I heard through Bing, but I forget to post each Saturday. This time I didn’t!
The theme for this week is Self, and so here is my entry.
I look like a 12-year-old, no?
The photo was taken earlier this year in Boracay, an island in [...]

This was a tough one for me because, at the moment, I’m SO embarrassed/upset at how I look. I don’t really feel like myself these days, so how am I supposed to take a picture of my ’self’ when it doesn’t really feel like me, y’know?
So here’s a picture of me being ‘myself’, and of [...]
This weeks theme for Photohunt is ‘Self’ so I have been brave and posted a black and white portrait of my bump. This photo was taken by me when I was around 20 weeks, just when I really started to get a proper round bump. I do love my bump even though it [...]

I think this photo turned out really funny distorted. Yep, it’s me holding a golf club, Mr Lifecruiser’s new driver, but no no, I’ve not played with it - not THAT one

This week’s theme for Photohunt is Shoes. I chose this photo which is of the shoes my husband wore on our wedding day. We had quite a relaxed wedding day and my hubby has never been one for wearing stuffy suits and that so in the end he chose a beautiful casual suit, didn’t wear a [...]

Ok so I don’t actually keep candy in the house much - when we do it’s gone waaay before a picture can be taken! So I thought I’d go hunting for a lil bit of eye candy… Milo Ventimiglia from Heroes. purrs He just looks so damn sexeh! Ahem, ok [...]
This weeks theme for Photo Hunt (thchick.com) is candy. Candy Floss (or Cotton Candy) is by far my all time favourite. I didn’t actually take this picture… my husband did… My face is scrunched up because it started to rain very lightly (typical Ireland!) and the Candy Floss started to melt in areas.

This is from our Spain trip in March and it’s truly my kind of candy! I’m not having much of a sweet tooth, more like a salty one! Olives is my absolute, absolute favorite candy above all! I’d surely DIE without olives…
…and what would it be without some nice cold beers to go with [...]
So I’m trying something new… came across a fun project via Life According to Frances who takes part on Saturday’s in Photohunt… a project created by tnchick. So every Saturday she posts a theme for a photo. This week, the week I’ve decided to start, is free week where I can share any [...]
Since we are allowed to share any photo as the theme for this week, I have here a sunset photo I took from Kahe Point Beach Park which is only 10-minute drive from home. It is located on the west side of Oahu, Hawaii, just north of the Ko Olina Resorts. Kahe Point or Electric Beach is a popular scuba dive location. This is where the electric power plant located nearby.
These two have been having some fun times over the past few days! Tim’s visit has been a long time coming - we initially met almost 3 years ago on Warcraft, and he, J and I have been friends ever since! He’s known us from being new parents to Zack, so it’s great for us [...]
North Shore is Hawaii's #1 Vacation and Travel destination. Renowned for its legendary beaches, Haleiwa is a favorite refuge for Hawaii’s residents and a must-see for visitors. This is where you'll find quaint shops and cafes housed in plantation-era buildings less than five miles from world-famous surf spots.
Since my unfortunate misfotune from last month, its about time that this SIGN greeted me to get my new identification.....
I decided to add the sign of royalty infront of my name - PRINCESS Pearl - a SIGN of insanity that hit me after my purse being stolen.
Well at least I didn't go ahead with my plan to change my identification to The Little Red Riding Hood !!
I really couldn’t think of anything so here you go…
Thirteen smiley faces Have a good weekend!
EDIT: My numerical skills are not what they were - I blame Brian (Otherwise known as Brain).
Here are 13 smiley faces…
I was stumped with this week's theme. I didn't want to take it literally and post a photo of the number 13 so I made this - a collage of thirteen previously submitted photos to the hunt. Hope it's
good enough.

The twisted hair… I have NO idea where he got it from, both J and I have relatively straight/sometimes wavy hair. Such cute little ringlets, I know this pic doesn’t do them justice but my camera is playing silly buggers so this is all I could find!
I couldn’t help myself and had a little play [...]
For this week's theme, I found several things to photograph around the house, both pleasant and unpleasant. The first two are from the kitchen - a fruit basket made of twisted glass and a
handcrafted coaster made of woven abaca (Manila hemp) fiber.
The third one I found in the bedroom, behind the PC, printer, scanner and other gadgets stacked in one corner of the room. It's a twisted mess of wires and cables! Yikes! Don't worry, I cleaned them up right after taking this photo. I didn't realize it was this bad until I saw it this morning.

Missing out the past two weeks, we came back this week Photohunt. Trying to figure out what suits this week's theme, we're twisting ourselves around the house instead to capture something....
Our display clay pot bought at Barang Barang sale.
Which is full of twisted cables.
Really original I’m sure. Har Har! Living in a house with a toddler and a baby means we don’t have much glass around, and what we DO have is in need of a damn good clean first! So my glasses will have to do for this week! Have a good weekend everyone
My engagement ring and J’s wedding ring. J’s is made out of titanium metal and mine is white gold. I can’t believe it’s over 3 years now since we exchanged these!
My wedding ring doesn’t fit at the moment so I can only wear my engagement ring. I blame Zack of course - after having him [...]
I'm in such a foul mood this week apart from having several engagements today, our PHOTOHUNT this week came at the 11th hour. This week subject is best represented by Pato's favourite metal. A big boy's bling bling.....
At a car show at Millenia Walk, Pato stumble upon his orgasmic feast ;)
Pearl was thinking of giving up this week's theme on Photohunt as she was at a dead's end to find something suitable. It so happenned that last night whilst Pearl was doing her homework, Pato found "something" to SPY on her..........
And you got a "Hammerhead Pato" which instead of amusing Pearl, it gave her a abit of a scare!!!!! (on the side note we came back from a Mandarin horror movie - No. 1 Rule) So you can imagine the shriek that came out from Pearl.
Pato's SPY scare was created from a local magazine's Nikon Coolpix advert. Sylar at the side spying all the commotion.

Ok ok you will be completely sick of this very soon I know, but just to show off the difference between my old and new PC’s.

A different approach to how we celebrated the Chinese New Year festival in the office this year. Each staff was to do a lantern on their own using recycled products to ensure its sustainability as well as practicing the "green" awareness to our environment.
We had several designs which all were individually unique on its own. I had mine made out of Starbucks coffee cups holder. Others which really different from the norm were made out of red paper napkins with plastic forks & spoons, another had used slides pictures held by paper clips which gave a nice glow of images when light was directed to the slides.
Such activities in the design studio gave an interesting overview of how each designer interpretes differently on the subject matter.

I was spoilt for choice for this week's theme but I've settled to post this favourite WOODEN stool ours that I've bought at Just Anthony's. A reproduction of a Chinese antique wooden stool, I decided to snap this up after bargaining it at S$50.
The pair of WOODEN clogs was from a shopping spree at Jonker's Street at Malacca couple years back.

A little late this week as I just got back from my overseas assignment and this is what I can share for this week's subject - FREEbies of perfume samples from my purchase during my free time at the Airport Duty Free!!!! A typical Singaporean I am when it comes to haggling free stuffs from our shopping spree.
Photo Hunt
A bit hung up on this week's subject hunting a good image for this posting. So, this week's choice is found in our apartment. This old stand alone drawer cabinet piece which Pato and his sister shopped for it together before we inherited for our nest and now HEAVILY filled with both of our CD collections, alphabetically sorted out. Err... Heavily organized...???
For this week's Photohunt subject, "the travelling ducks" shares with you the facinating Gaudi's last work - the Sagrada di Familia which features many NARROW images from our last visit in Barcelona.
The admirable works of Gaudi's narrow towers of the Sagrada which till today is still going through massive construction.
Going down, you will need to use this narrow winding steps that seems neverending.
Looking up the tip of the narrow towers.
Of the many sub narrow towers in the midst of the 21st century building scaffoldings.
I was flicking through my folders to find a suitable photo for this week's hunt and I stumbled upon this image. It was taken in Singapore at the Peninsular Building's open carpark and I was playing with 'Sylar' - our Canon 400D.
An old fashioned cathedral with a peek of newest Singapore Flyer at the background - where the old meets the new.
After being away for a month, "the travelling ducks" starts the new year for PHOTOHUNT with something simply delicious!!!!
Nothing beats from sinking your teeth in these delicious fresh donuts which is one of our sinful favourite things.
There's no cutting back on these donuts for the ducks in the year 2008, but its how to keep eating donuts and still looking fabulous and gorgeous........ A challenge, it will be!
Front Porch
I guess this can be interpreted in three ways:
1. Light: As in light bulbs
2. Light: As in Light colored not dark colored like red, green or blue.
3. Christmas light(s).
You interpret it anyway you want to. Merry Christmas!

I’ve been waiting for this PhotoHunt for a few weeks! Just over a month ago we spent a long weekend in Singapore - a city I had long wanted to visit, but never seemed to manage to make it there (even though it’s only a short hour flight from KL and two hours from Bangkok).Something about the island city-state seems so exciting and cosmopolitan - the skyscrapers right next to the ocean - sounds like the perfect city to me! Plus, I had heard that they have an absolutely stunning Christmas display every year, and we were arriving just in time to see everything get set up.As could be expected, Christmas lights in Singapore are over-the-top, glittering and twinkling on every tree, branch, pole, and building on Orchard Road. Although we only arrived at the very begining of the holiday season, we saw more lights on one street than we’ve seen in the last few years!
Now I must admit, though these lights are especially festive, they are not the only interesting lights I
This summer IÂ bought a Nikon D40Â in an attempt to improve my photography skills.
Now, I know that people say the talent is not in the camera, but I’ve just been through all the pictures I’ve taken in the last three years, and something about the Nikon has drastically improved my photography. Maybe it’s just the fact that when I hold that camera I feel like I know what I’m doing, and since I can pretend that I look like I know what I’m doing, I seem to have more confidence, which leads to better pictures…
Anyway, one thing I’ve learned is to capture small details that represent the larger whole - instead of having one picture to capture everything that’s happening in one scene, focus on the details. And with that in mind, I give you some small details from the fabulous Jatajuk market here in Bangkok:Â
For those of you that don’t know Jatajuk, it must be the biggest weekend market in the world with over 15,000 stal

This is an old fashioned sign from the store called Tomtar och Troll (Santa’s and Troll’s) which is situated in the Old Town part of Stockholm. Yes, I know, the only red on the Santa’s is the Santa hat. I’m not really sure though if this only are Santa’s Elves (tomtenissar) or maybe farm santa’s.
From the beginning in Swedish folklore, they were farm santa’s (gårdstomtar) which were believed to take care of a farmer’s home and family and protect them from bad luck, especially in the nights, when the family were sleeping. That’s also why we have the tradition of putting out a bowl with porridge to him on the farms. The word Tomte comes from the house lot = tomt in Swedish.
During the years, the American Santa Claus style has been adopted over here too, with the red Santa dress, though we still call him Tomten, so he is not quite the same as the more traditional farm Santa&

Those of you that know me, probably guessed what I would choose for this “I love” theme. Travel or real love - of course. Though it is a lot of other things I love too, the sea, nature, animals, architecture, cabriolets, music, champagne, FOOD - pretty much everything!
But the thing is: I can experience a lot of diversity with ALL those things when out traveling!!!
If I don’t count our summer island where we go every summer, the last time we traveled where to Ireland in June 2006. That truly feels like an eternity for me.
My hope has been lighted that we soon will be able to travel again!
Wether or not it’s by boat… or train….
Or by air…
Or by car…
Or by foot on a wonderful beach…
The experience for me is always the same: absolutely thrilling excitement which refreshes me as much as this does:
I couldn’t make you’ll disappointed - of

These are the boots we bought when we were in Paraguay in 2005, to have when we were horse back riding there - like real Guachos (cowboys). We’re so pleased with them, it’s our favorites. You don’t see boots like this in the stores over here. We’ve got many comments on them from others. Everybody thinks they are cool. Both youngsters and older.
As you can see, the ankle of the boot is made stretchy - flexible, so we don’t have to unbuckle something to put them on or off, which is a lifesaver for me with my bad back. They are so comfortable that I wanna wear them all the time.
The cost of this boot was approx. 3$ which is just incredible! OK, it’s not of the best quality, but considering that I wear it very often and it still has lasted since 2005, I would say it’s quite a bargain!
In 2005 I read some where that the 3 top cheap countries to tourist in were: Egypt,
