The photo sharing service, which had a quarrelsome but symbiotic relationship with Myspace, may announce the deal as early as this morning. After final negotiations at the end of last week, Photobucket has called an all-hands staff meeting for 10am PST this morning. We don’t have the financial details of the deal, but Photobucket, and its bankers Lehman Brothers, were looking for at least $300m.

The last couple of days were pretty interesting in terms of new acquisitions and websites sales. Social music site Last.fm was bought by US media giant CBS Corporation for $280m (£140m). The online network allows users to connect with other listeners with similar music tastes, to custom-build their own radio stations and to watch music video-clips. And you only need to have access to one of their photos to do it!So, how do you do it? Well, first off you have to be signed into your Photobucket account. Then according to the hack author:1. You need to have access to a picture the person posted via photobucket..i.e on their myspace, webpage, livejournal etc. or you can try searching for their user name on photobucket.2. There's a small 12 inch square oil painting, some collagraphs and a pencil sketch of the sea defences.Collagraphs are a lovely printmaking method using mount (matt) card as a plate. It's inexpensive and I really like the marks you can achieve with it. It does need a printing press though as it's an intaglio process like etching and not a relief print like lino.
I was searching the boards for info on how better to handle my photos, as the space on PR seems limited. I notice some members like Photobucket and I'd like some additional info.
For you users out there--are the photos depicted in the reviews stored on Photobucket and then linked to PR? I noticed when checking your reviews that photos and text seem perfectly integrated. Pictures seem to be retrieved immediately and in full-size, which is not always the case with other people's reviews. It also seems to be easy to add multiple photos.
