But since I’m a photo-chopper and this is a chance for me to tick tack a pretty image so, here are some of the items that I change from ‘Before’ into the ‘After’ image :- I do a little change in the eyebrows, try to make it higher than its position, thinner, longer and darker.- A little pucker effect on the nose.- A little bloat effect on the lips.- Made the V shape on Elaine's blouse a bit wider.

Leading Professional Photographer and Contest Judge Selects Grand Prize Winner and Twenty Favorites Now Posted on Tamron's On-Line GalleryDecember 17, 2007, Commack, NY—The overwhelming majority of great photographs, especially those including people, has one thing in common—they effectively capture, express, and convey human emotions. In other words, photographs that are judged to be the best are almost always those that evoke a strong emotional response in the viewer. Bearing that simple but profound concept in mind, Tamron, acclaimed for manufacturing innovative lenses of superlative quality, created an entirely new kind of photo contest, An Emotional Appeal that debuted in 2006. Instead of basing it on the usual range of specific subject categories, we asked all entrants to submit pictures that best express the universal theme of human emotion and emotional interaction. The rules were equally broad—the pictures submitted didn't even have to be taken with a Tamron lens. â€

I even have photos of Emily in the same outfit as Anna when she was this age, in a pumpkin patch. It is adorable. There is something about the colors of a pumpkin patch that make them priceless. You can’t go wrong.Once you have taken your photo, email me your favorite “pumpkin photo” for a chance to w

on her first day of Kindergarten
Anxiety. That’s the word that described how I was feeling this morning.
For the last 2 weeks, I’ve been preparing you for your big adventure - the first day of Kindergarten. We talked about the teachers, friends, and first crush you left behind in preschool. We talked about the big school you’ll be attending, the uniforms they wear, and the new friends you’ll make. We talked about the daily homework you’ll bring home that Mommy hopes she remembers how to do. We talked about growing up.
And grown up you sure are. I still remember those toddler years when you suffered from severe separation anxiety. You were constantly glued to my right leg and would throw a fit everytime I went to the restroom. We couldn’t even leave you at Grandma’s house! Even with her hearing aid, you gave her a headache from your constant crying. This led me to decide to go back to work only part-time, a decision I&rsq

I have no idea what happened. One moment she was standing next to the wagon. The next, her legs were flailing around in the air. Of course, instead of helping her out, I took this photo instead. I hope Baby Bug will see the humor in this when she gets older! Probably not.

We’re finally home, safe and sound. There are bags to unpack, clothes to wash, groceries to buy, and photos to download. But what am I doing instead? Tallying up your votes. Talk about dedication, huh?
Here are your winners:
1st Place: Dana of Sunshine’s Blog
2nd Place: Mike of Eyes By Ear
Congratulations to Dana and Mike and thank you to everyone who participated. If I haven’t visited your entry yet, I’ll be by shortly. I just need to unpack, wash clothes, buy groceries, and download my photos first. But it’s next on my list, I promise!
As most of you know, in 3 days I’ll be headed for a long awaited vacation to one of my favorite places in the world. . . Disneyland.
While I’m hobknobing with Mickey, I thought I’d keep you entertained by having another photo contest. (translation: it’s a bribe to keep you visiting while I’m gone.)
The theme is (of course) Favorite Vacation Spot.
Here are the rules:
Post a photo on your blog that best represents your “Favorite Vacation Spot” by midnight on May 17th.
It doesn’t have to be a far away place — use your imagination! However, the photo must have been taken by you or someone in your family.
Include a little description of the photo and a link back to this contest.
Add your link to the Mr. Linky (below) before the 17th. Make sure it’s a link to your actual entry so people can find it.
Voting will take place from May 18th - 20th.
Send your readers over to vote for you via comments. They can vote once per day.
Winners
And the poll is up. In theory you can only vote once, but anyone with Internet savvy could cheat and them’s the breaks. Go view the photos and vote for which one you like best. If your picture is here, well, a link back to this would be nice and, of course, feel free to bully your friends and family into voting for you. The winner will receive a children’s book.

The voting is from 5pm Central time tomorrow (April 20) and goes until 8pm Central time on April 22. Please visit here to vote. When you have 4 children in 20 months, you are bound to have lots of special Mom moments. I imagine most of the contestants will have the mom's faces in the shots, but it just doesn't get more special than this photo. We had triplets in September '05. My daughter's placenta had been deteriorating and she wasn't getting enough cord blood to keep her growing at a healthy rate inside of me. In fact, she had stopped growing. To save her, we had to deliver all three babies. She weighed in at a not-so-hefty 1lb. 6 oz. This shot is of Lauren grabbing on to my finger from her incubator in the NICU. She was 3 days old (born at 29 weeks, 1 day). I knew at this moment that she would be just fine. She's a fighter (as you can see in my TWF video). She never
