All I gotta say is that new DJ Drama album is starting to look like the next must cop. Thats right, ‘Cheers’ isn’t off of any Star Trak projects, but is in fact off of DJ Drama’s upcoming LP “Gangsta Grillz” which also features that instant vintage joint “Da Art Of Storytelling pt. 4“. I like this joint though, its a bit reminiscent of the earlier N.E.R.D sound as in the acoustics in the production are more dominant, or more balanced. The Self Proclaimed 'Greatest Rapper Alive', "Jay Z" Recently Announced That He Is Working On A New Album, Due For Release In November. Entitled "American Gangster", the record will be released to coincide with the release of a new movie of the same name. Although the album won't be a soundtrack CD, Jay said that he felt compelled to make the album after seeing the film, because he thought that some elements mirrored his own life.This is the first song to leak from the album, called "Blue Magic", the track is produced by & features long-term collaborator "Pharrell Williams". The song is OK, but nothing to special, sounds like an album track to me, although not confirmed yet, it does appear that this will in fact be the first single. The ReturnA lot of unreleased and unheard material has been leaked (as of lately) from Brandy. A lot of these songs are unmastered, unfinished, and underwhelming (in terms of quality). All this music is making Branatics (including myself) yearn for a new Brandy album. I know a new Brandy album is on the horizon (just don't know when). There have been a lot of rumors concerning this album. Every producer who is somebody in the industry has found their name attached to this project. While it is still a mystery as to who will (and is) contributing to the album, Pharrell Williams spoke out awhile back about Brandy's album. He urged us all "to watch out for Brandy's album". I got so excited! Brandy is my favorite singer and The Neptunes are my favorite producers. I always wanted her to work with them and I hope they appear on the new album. My natural assumption would be that Brandy's album will be released at the top of next year. I'm not sure how things are going to play out though.

Now the Neptunes producer is getting a chance to put his beats where his passion is as the producer of the soundtrack to the big-screen version of the 1980s giant-robot series "Voltron." Williams, an executive producer on the film, will also score "Voltron: Defender of the Universe," according to The Hollywood Reporter. The movie is being produced by Mark Gordon ("The Day After Tomorrow," "Saving Private Ryan"), based on a story about five maverick pilots who have to travel to the planet Arus to learn how to operate the massive Voltron, which is made up of five smaller robots. The giant robot is Earth's last hope in the fight against the Drule Empire. "Voltron" is not the only '80s robot flick on the roster.
