I finally got around to listening to Phantom Planet's new album and I'd have to say I'm impressed. They aren't the 1 dimensional California singing group that many said they were. Okay so they make a great song about California and it gets used by a really stupid show, it's not their fault! Plus you know you still love'em. Funny how Phil Phranchise develops an oblique pull right when the Yanks are faced with having to send him to AAA to get worked out. I don't believe for a second that he is really hurt.That being said, the strategy is a good one. Putting Phil on the DL allows the Yanks to call up Rasner and allow him to take Phil's roster spot and next couple of starts without the potential blow to Phil's psyche that a straight demotion might cause. It also allows Phil to stay with Dave Eiland and work on his mechanical and mental issues with the big league pitching coach. Lastly, it will allow the Yanks to call it 'rehab starts' and have him make 2 or 3 starts in AAA, again, without having to send hm down.I think it's a solid strategy that creates a win/win all around.

It's been a while since my last bad movie review on Zontar, the Thing from Venus, so I'm long overdue for wasting hours of time. This time we've got Phantom from Space, a nice little film from 1953, produced and directed by W. Lee Wilder, the brother of Billy Wilder but creator of such epics as Killers from Space and Manfish. This movie is also part of my SciFi Classics 50 Movie Pack. Of all the movies I could have picked to review, I think this could have been the biggest mistake. Wow, has it been a busy week! Some of you may have noticed I have been a bit behind in my posting lately. My mother came for a visit, we ended up with a flu bug, and celebrated Resurrection Sunday. Here is the second review of my new Nintendo DS Games. This saga in the Legend of Zelda series continues the storyline og the Windwaker game for the Gamecube. You are Link (or whatever your characters name is) and your friend has just been captured by the Ghost Ship. You must go through the Temple of the Ocean King with your phantom hourglass to look for pieces of a seachart, and little fairies, to save your friend. This game is really great. It might be one of the best games for the DS. The controls are the greatest part in my opinion. It is all touch screen based. You walk by pointing where you want to go, you grab things by tapping them, you draw the path of your boomerang, as well as slashing to slash your sword, and drawing a circle to do a roll. Very innovative stuff. All in a seamless, intuitive package. The world you are in is very large, with around 20 islands I would guess. Another really cool thing about the game is your ship. Let’s continue the same direction. Here’s another great video from Epica (see my previous post as well), The Phantom Agony. This is a footage from recording showing the cellos, background vocals and choir as well. It starts with cello and violin notes combined with marching drums and choir, which actually remind me Rhapsody. Oh, I haven’t posted any vids from Rhapsody. Gotta do that next..
