I have publicly supported three petitions on the Prime Minister's epetitions web site... and none of them have succeeded. That is, all of them have been rejected with a formal response - there is no record on the site of successful petitions, I note. In the light of the current news about the Prime Minister sending out a nice letter to all of those who signed the petition against road charging - a letter which explained, presumably, how he valued their views, was impressed by the number of petitioners, BUT that he thought he was right and road charging was pretty likely to go ahead in the fullness of time...I also had a letter from the Prime Minister.
