Well I couldn't find anything to paint outside today, not in the back anyway, and I am still too self-conscious to sit and paint out front (it is bad enough when I am house painting, I get everyone telling me what I should be doing differently and how they have a cousin who could do it better etc.), but these luscious peppers caught my eye. I haven't painted a pepper since January, I think it was one of my first oil studies for this blog.

Anthony Kiedis and his Red Hot Chili Pepper bandmates are suing Showtime Network for naming their new David Duchovny fronted show Californication. As you may remember, Californication was the title of the rockers 1999 album, which went on to sell fifteen million copies. The suit claims copywrite infringement and seeks an immediate injunction to halt the title from being used. The band is also seeking monetary reparations

Originalmente iba a ser un single solamente lanzado en Canadá, EE.UU. y Australia, pero finalmente se optó por lanzarlo internacionalmente.Curiosidades acerca de la canción:La canción se llamaba originalmente "Ghost Dance 2000", por su parecido en la línea de bajo con American Ghost Dance, de su álbum Freaky Styley, pero finalmente se opto por llamarla Hump De Bump. Originalmente era un jam de la era Greatest Hits, cuando grabaron dos canciones nuevas para este disco. Anthony Kiedis, antes de grabarla, llamaba al tema Forty Detectives Flea toca la trompeta en esta canción.
