The NEFA Foundation has obtained and translated a copy of a May 15, 2008 audio recording from Al-Qaida leader Usama Bin Laden, titled, “A Message to the People of the West from the Shaykh Usama Bin Laden: The Reasons for the Conflict on the Sixtieth Anniversary of the Israeli Conquest.” During his speech, Bin Laden sought to “reassure” the world that “the Palestinian

On the Longest Walk, Indigenous Peoples human rights forum
The International Indian Treaty Council and the Longest Walk focused on human rights as inherent rights of Indigenous Peoples, as the walkers arrived for prayers at Cahokia Mounds and the St. Louis Arch, the gateway to the west. For the Longest Walkers on the northern route, it was the gateway to the east, marking the completion of three-fourths of their sacred walk for Mother Earth. Walkers

Indigenous Peoples and Climate Change: A Human Rights Issue
The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Fourth Assessment Report published in early 2007 confirmed that global climate change is already taking place and having an impact on many communities around the world. The report found that communities who live in marginal lands and whose livelihoods are highly dependent on natural resources are among the most vulnerable to climate change. Many

Culturally Unidentified Human Remains, Indigenous Native American Peoples, and the Society for American Archaeology
In the March 2008 SAA Archaeological Record, an article by Keith W. Kintigh clearly articulated the Society for American Archaeology’s position concerning the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA). Usually such an article would mean little for indigenous peoples as the Record is primarily concerned with the field of archaeology – its methods, theories, and practice

      Pakistan Peoples Party an Introduction
Ayub Khan lost at the negotiation table at Tashkent the war that was won by the Pakistan army supported by the people of Pakistan in 1965. This humiliation enraged the people of Pakistan against the dictator. Mr. Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, a patriot as he has always been, was left with no choice but to quit the Ayub Government on June 16, 1966. Bhutto was determined to bring down the dictator who had betrayed the nation. To achieve this goal, he needed a political organization and a political platform. He waited for more than a year before he found both; like so many aggrieved politicians before him, he chose to found his own political party. The PPP was launched at its founding convention held in Lahore on November 30 - December 01, 1967. At the same meeting, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was elected as

Help Combate Racism Against Indigenous Peoples
Australians for Native Title and Reconciliation began a new campaign last week against racism. Please, if you want to make a difference, go to the ANTaR website and sign the petition. If you are not Austr

Why do we judge other peoples' sex lives?
I was just thinking today that our society has the really bad habit of judging peoples' sex lives. Countless subcultures are forced to hide for fear of being labeled a sexual deviant. Why do we care so much what other people do in bed? If I hear one more straight guy or girl frown up at gay or lesbian sex, I'm gonna tell them that's exactly how we feel about the idea of them having sex (not all straights, just the homophobic ones ;). But Back to the point, if someone is into someone gets off on toys, or paddles, or handcuffs, or much kinkier stuff, that's their business. Don't judge them. Just tell them to play safe and keep it moving. Then you can get back to dressing up like a schoolteacher and "disciplining" your bad student. I promise I won't judge you.Get Your Life! Only @
