Amy Pearson - Don’t Miss You
Was just the other day when you said to me
That you had enough
Told me that you wanna move on with your life
And now you sing to me the same old melody
That I?m still the one
You thought I?d hang around while you made up your mind
I used to say that you [...]

"Mrs. Pearson's House"12X16 Acrylic on BoardCommissionClick on picture to view a larger versionAt last....I finished painting this one this morning. Who wouldn't like to live here? Now I sound like a real estate agent. Mr. and Mrs. Pearson raised their children in this beautiful house. I think it was built in the 1950's, the days when construction was solid and men knew how to build hardwood oak floors and millwork that had real substance. It has two fireplaces, that lovely bay window, and gorgeous landscaping. I'm sure lots of happy memories are saved from the days they spent here in this house. I hope she'll enjoy having this painting and her children will enjoy having it years from now. I'm on to the next painting and thinking again of the up-coming show at the Schiele Museum. Than
"Mrs. Pearson's House" In Progress12X16Acrylic on BoardCommissionClick on the picture to enlarge it.Just starting to work in the sky and the trees above and behind the house. The tedious details of the house itself are finished finally. You'd think you could just slap on those window panes, indicate the curtains with a simple brush stroke and, voila, finito! Not. Each mullion must be noted, the downspouts drawn, shadows and light on each tiny inch in various ways painted deftly. Probably another entire day left to go on this. Acrylics are a double edged sword. The good thing about them is that they dry fast. The bad thing about them is that they dry fast. It's a real trick getting them to move the way you want them to... I could not have accomplished the tiniest details here with o
Detail.....this piece is less than 2 and a 1/4 inch square, just so you know. And even this part is not finished."Mrs. Pearson's House" 12X16 Acrylic on BoardCommissionInch by inch, measuring the Marigolds...as the song goes. Still at it and trying to not even count the hours. Is anybody else out there as crazy as I am? Don't answer that. If you are, you shouldn't admit it. You, too, might be asked to recreate Buckingham Palace on the head of a pin. More later.....
"Mrs. Pearson's House" In Progress12X16Acrylic on BoardCommissionAt this point I am just thinking there is a long way to go. It's those pesky details that kill ya. Anyway, this is the progress since Friday. I'll get there....you'll see.
"Mrs. Pearson's House"Acrylic on Board12X16CommissionO.K. this is after several hours and layers of paint to describe the beginning of the trees on the left. Besides all of the other challenges here, Mrs. Pearson has asked me to recreate the big tree in the front yard on the left. Total fiction. No pictures to help. Just asking God to guide me.... or maybe Joyce Kilmer whose quote, "Only God can make a tree," always stays with me when I am trying to paint trees. Definitely not there yet, but still evolving. Now about the house and landscape. I have to say that this house is, like the lady who owns it, meticulously cared for. My favorite part of the picture, the day I took the photos, was the line of crepe myrtles along the driveway. The light was spectacular coming through the webs o
A reader of this blog just informed us that registration with Pearson Vue was needed before the Eligibility was issued. So, if your CES report has been issued or, at least, when all the documents needed for the CES is already complete, you may want to register and pay the testing fee to Pearson Vue () so that your Eligibility and your ATT can be issued. Technically, you can register earlier with Pearson Vue since you have one year to get your Eligibility. We have only learned about this through this reader's feedback because, in our own applications, we had registered with Pearson Vue even before our CES report was issued.Once you get your ATT or Authorization To Test, you have three months (90) days to schedule your exam. The testing fee is $200, and if you're taking the NCLEX outside the

Lady Of JusticePhoto: MacBuckley.Because I am an Atheist what I am about to say will astound you: The Sword of Justice has struck Judge Roy L. Pearson forcing me to admit that "There really is a God!"
Here's the story:
Washington Post,
31 Oct 2007,
Judge Who Lost Pant Suit Loses JobRoy L. Pearson Jr., the administrative law judge who lost his $54 million lawsuit against a Northeast Washington dry cleaner, lost his job yesterday and was ordered to vacate his office, sources said.
Pearson, 57, who had served as a judge for two years, was up for a 10-year term at the Office of Administrative Hearings, but a judicial committee last week voted against reappointing him.
...
A source familiar with the committee's meetings said Pearson's lawsuit played little role in the decision not to reappoint him.
As for that last statement, Doug Mataconis over at Below The Beltway had this to say: Roy Pearson Finally Loses His JobAnd anyone who thinks that the committee would have reached t

I had the pleasure of visiting this painting in the home where it is beautifully framed on the wall above a desk. It's funny how, when a painting leaves my studio, I wonder how it is viewed in someone's home.... hoping it finds its way to a good location where it will be enjoyed. In this case, I can now say it is very much in the right place!FEEDBACK WANTED....http://www.fineartstudioonline.com/cherylpass Meanwhile, I have set up a trial website page at FineArtStudioOnline, where you can view a few of my recent works, some for sale, some not. Most women, up until the 1960’s brushed their hair daily before going to bed. Because styles changed and more people started to wash their hair more often, brushing went out of style.
Brushing your hair actually does serve a purpose; it cleans and stimulates the scalp and takes the sebum (your own natural oil) from the root of each hair follicle through the strand keeping the ends of your hair as shiny and supple looking as the root.
Mason Pearson has been making the BEST brush (for brushing, not for styling) since the 1860’s in London.
Everyone should actually brush their hair 15 times in each direction (front, back, left to right and right to left) before going to bed each night. You’ll find that once you start brushing you won’t need to wash your hair as often and it (as well as your scalp) will become much healthier over time. It also feels great.
You’ll want to choose the correct brush for your hair type and length.

I advise those who are interested to avail of accommodations to book as early as possible. I'm only providing a list of the places I know which are close to the test center, however, please try to get more feedback from other people about rates and the quality of service they provide. If you can, call the hotel instead of booking online. day 13 - ridiculous lawsuitsOriginally uploaded by greyanemone.A tip of the turban to Wizbang:A judge who lost a $54 million lawsuit against his former dry cleaner is fighting the cleaners' attempts to collect attorney fees from him.
Roy L. Pearson filed an opposition to the defendants' motion for attorneys' fees Friday, saying he shouldn't have to pay the $82,907.50 that the Chung family owes to defend themselves against his 2005 lawsuit.
His opposition "is yet another example of his irrational crusade against the Chungs. His arguments are meritless," defense attorney Chris Manning wrote in an e-mail.
It will probably cost the Chungs tens of thousands of dollars in legal fees to try to collect from this idiot. That he can manipulate the legal system to further harass these poor business people is proof that our tort system needs to be severely overhauled.
Here are all my articles on tort reform.

Test-takers of the NCLEX will sit for the exam for the first time right here in Manila starting Aug. 23. This is indeed a big relief for Filipino applicants and by extension, all other applicants from other neighboring ASEAN countries. Compared to Hong Kong, accomodations and the cost of basic goods is surely much cheaper in the Philippines. Earlier, we uploaded a map to locate the Pearson Professional Centers-Manila test center. If you're taking public transportation and need directions to the test center, here's a short guide to help you.Getting there:From Quezon City -- The fastest way is by riding the MRT. Get off Buendia station. Walk towards the Shell gas station, across it is a jeepney terminal. Get on any of the jeepneys plying the Buendia route and ask the driver to drop you off at RCBC Plaza. After you get off, cross the street and walk towards the Shell Maya gas station. Trident Tower is a building or two after the gas station.Another option is by taking a bus from Buendia
Pearson’s Candy is one of those classic candy companies that has been around since the beginning. The company was started in the early 1900’s by the Pearson brothers, five in all, and in 1912 the Nut Goodie made its debut with a selling price of 5 cents.
Along with the Nut Goodie in the trio of Pearson’s classics, there are also the Salted Nut Roll (similar to a PayDay) and Pearson’s Mint Patties. In 1998 the company also acquired the Bun Bar from the Clark Bar America company, with the Maple Bun bearing a close resemblance to the Nut Goodie.
The Nut Goodie still sports its original retro packaging design, playing on red and green’s complimentary color status. The wrapper looks HUGE, but that’s because the Nut Goodie is a wide, not tall candy “plop.” The description reads “Real Milk Chocolate Nut Clusters” and glancing at the ingredients list, it does indeed use the real deal. It’s good to know that some companies stil

"I moved to Berlin because I love the place. [...] Everyone who thinks about Berlin is associating it with minimal techno, minimal techno, but it’s a lot more diverse than that. And there are a lot of people playing different music and it’s a mistake. Actually, at the moment, there’s more house in Berlin and less minimal playing."

With minimal being the prevailing theme of the techno world, the musical equivalent of writing a word over and over until it has lost all meaning; it’s refreshing to stumble upon someone as anomalous as the highly inventive Ewan Pearson.
DJ and producer extraordinaire Ewan Pearson has put his hand on the next installment in the Fabric compilation series. Fabric 35 is set to drop in mid-July.
Pearson has quickly established himself as one of the most underground and multi-genre producers out there. "I think I move around style-wise, I’ve got quite diverse tastes. [...] At the moment, I love techno but I don’t just play sort of minimal clicky stuff. What bores me when everyone is doing the same thing. I just find the stuff that moves me and try and make it work."
His debut mix-CD Sci-Fi-Hi-Fi Vol. 1 (2005, Soma Quality Recordings) was one of the standout releases of the year. Now his new mix for the Fabric camp promises to be even more exciting."[The mix] is quite heads-down, with low-slung basslines. It ranges from quite a few styles but it's a no-nonsense dancefloor mix, more down and dirty," comments Pearson. "Being interested in production, I'm always trying to find things that fit together - I like that happ

Bittorrent (pronounced and sometimes spelled “Bit Torrent”) has the potential to completely change the way files are served on the internet. Bittorrent was created by genius programmer Bram Cohan. It allows large files, like open source software distributions, to be downloaded quickly from several “grassroots” file sharers.
This technology is closely related to Peer to Peer file sharing. Bittorrent differs from some file sharing programs in that it breaks up the files into several bite size pieces and allows users to partially download files from several sources.
One major problem with sharing large files over the internet is that many broadband web hosting companies significantly limit your upload speeds. This means that you may be able to download a file at 8mbps but only upload the file to your friend at 0.8mbps. Thats like saying you don’t have a speed limit, but the guy in front of you does (in the no passing zone of course).
This bottleneck is so

These days I have been listening to the new album of Joey Pearson - Authentic . The songs in it are really nice - with cool vibe and great lyrics and of course the voice of Joey. something more - he looks like a friend of mine I met while attending high school in the US.
I have almost all albums released by him with one exception - Mirror Image from 2004 - but will make sure to get it in the near future. Meanwhile I can say that my favorite album is his most recent one - and if I have to choose a favorite song it could be either I wish because of the lyrics or When you believe because of the song itself and the really cool video clip that goes with it( My neighbors will not talk with me anymore because of me singing When you believe over and over - and with the headphones on - sometimes it is hard to pay attention of how loud I am singing) .
The official web page does not provide much information about Joey , so I had to look some other sites . There is a good article about him in Wik
I was hoping that Haskett would at least be ahead of May, but it seems like May managed to get votes from all three parties. The Greens will herald this as a major breakthrough, and they'll keep talking about it for the next few months.
