I was always under the impression that we had succeeded in ending the practice of Partial Birth Abortion in the last Congress, but I guess the legislation passed was too vague and has resulted in states needing to close the loopholes created by the federal law. That’s what’s happening in Michigan where the state [...]

Seasoned Internet users are certainly aware of the “cheque partial refund scam”, that has long plagued sites like eBay.
Just to run by the basics:
Someone “buys something”
They “accidently send a cheque for too much”
The ask for a refund for the difference
Lo and behold, the original scam has now migrated to property, according to US Marketing Blog, MarketersStudio.
In the Property version of the scam, a potential tenant is being posted into the country, and is arranging furniture as well as rental. Sure enough, a cheque for the first month’s rent, the deposit, and, bizarrely the furniture turns up, with a request that the letting agency / landlord “pay for the furniture.”
By the time they realise the funds haven’t cleared, and investigate the furniture company, the “furniture company” turns out to have been a front for the scammer.
To date, the scams have been supposedly about British Doctors wanting to rent f

Partial Abdominoplasty Dallas: Partial abdominoplasty may take an hour or two.A partial abdominoplasty, also known as a mini tummy tuck, is useful if you only have excess skin and fat below the belly button, while a full abdominoplasty will also correct loose muscle tone and skin above the belly button. After you are anesthetized, the abdominoplasty surgery itself will take from two to five hours, depending on the type of tummy tuck you are having done. In Dallas partial abdominoplasty is worth taking especially you want a quick fix to ur problem of "fatty" belly.Thousands of abdominoplasties are performed successfully each year. When done by a qualified plastic surgeon who is trained in body contouring, the results are generally quite positive. Nevertheless, there are always risks associa

Thanks to a nifty little Wordpress plugin by Stephen Cronin, the full vs. partial feed debate is officially OVER. With this kick-ass widget, you can now offer *both* full and partial feeds, allowing your readers to make the choice which version they want. Check out my upper right corner to see what I mean. Partial Abdominoplasty Fort Worth, Partial abdominoplasty is a very easy and quite a dramatic option to hard working professional who want to get a slimmer body to be agile enough to meet the demanding needs of the hardcore professional life. Partial abdominoplasty brings with it nearly all the benefits that full fledged abdominoplasty and much lesser cost and much lesser time-to-work. Even in Fort Worth, Texas partial abdominoplasty is fam from being an unknown entity. People there are going forward for the option and embracing the benefits that are brought by it. The only factor is that some people are still a bit apprehensive about the option of abdominoplasty and that is because of lask of adequate information on this. However for more obese people this has come as a ray of hope and
Partial Abdominoplasty Texas, Normally abdominoplasty is an extensive operation which requires 4-5 hrs depending on the case at hand, however you may also go in for a partial abdominoplasty. In Texas partial abdominoplasty is a reality and help is available at hand. The plastic surgery operation known as partial or mini-abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), can be performed under local or general anesthesia and may last 1-2 hours. As the name mini-tummy tuck suggests, it is a less extensive operation than complete abdominoplasty, with fewer risks, smaller incision-scars and shorter recovery time, although the results on loose skin and abdominal muscle-tightening are less dramatic. However by the growing number of people opting for partial abdominoplasty, it is certain it is more viable option than
Google and Yahoo both support wildcards (*) and end of string ($) characters in robots.txt files.
MSN’s Live Search is a little more confusing because they only have very limited support for wildcards in robots.txt files. Based on their docs, it looks like wildcards are supported. These are valid robots.txt rules for MSN’s Live.com:
User-agent: msnbot
Disallow: /*.PDF$
Disallow: /*.jpeg$
Disallow: /*.exe$
However, “MSNdude” recently stated on WebmasterWorld that “Live Search does not support wildcards in robots.txt today; we are thinking about it.”
An asterisk that substitutes for another set of characters is a wildcard, so this statement is confusing.
I think that wildcards should be added to the robots.txt standard. Wildcards in robots.txt files are essential for the ability to block certain kinds of dynamic URLs. The original robots.txt standard should be updated and MSN should fully jump on board.

Almost on a daily basis we hear about large organizations losing laptops or computer media with confidential customer or employee data. The companies are then forced to determine their risk and liability by confirming whether or not the data was encrypted.
The legal position is that encrypted data translates to no data loss¸ and the company is legally protected from the potential ramifications of losing a laptop or mobile media where the data could be easily extracted. What’s the first question the company’s lawyers will ask?Was it encrypted????
This SHOULD be an easy question to answer, but most of the disk encryption solutions out there provide little to no reporting functionality. Such information should be readily available to the right people in management positions at a company. Comprehensive reporting would also make it much easier to enforce encryption compliance within a company so there will be little to worry about when a laptop or usb drive is

Partial Feed may not be the best option.First of all, it may discourage readers to subscribe. On the other hand, I will get more traffic from other readers as they need to visit my blog to read the full article. Heck, I confessed, I love visitors as I get to interact with them when they comment. Secondly, partial feeds discourage content stealing. I know plagiarism will still happen with or without partial feeds but at least it makes it harder for these people to do so (as compared to using full feeds). There's a lot of debate on the net about whether to go for partial or full feeds but for the time being, I think I am more inclined towards partial. Let's hear what some of you prefer. Full feed or Partial Feed?
During our Tuesday morning commute I read this article from TechDirt speaking about RSS feeds. A lot of sites offer partial feeds and usually just the headline to try and persuade you to read the article on the site exposing you to their advertising. Sites like CNET do this and it pisses me off and seeming I read these articles in a RSS Reader on my mobile phone while I am on the train I can not just click through. So only the BEST of the BEST articles get read by me - You know just the ones that stick out in me head later in the day.TechDirt as well as AtA use full RSS feeds because one we don't have ADs on our site as we are not about making $$$ and Two We are here to help our readers. Good news for Google. By a vote of 4-1, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) agreed with Google's request that the upcoming sale of airwaves have open access. This would require winning bidders of the airwaves to operate their wireless networks so it’s open to any mobile device, service or software application. Google, along with Yahoo, and eBay, lobbied for open access and Google has planned to spend at least $4.6 billion for the wireless spectrum if the FCC met its conditions. However, Google wasn't granted their request of the winning bidder to resell access at wholesale prices. It's unknown if Google is satisfied with the ruling and will take part in the up coming auction. Google is taking its time to review the FCC ruling before deciding its next move. The airwaves being auctioned are in the 700 megahertz band of radio frequencies. These frequencies were ordered by the government to be given up TV broadcasters as they convert to dig

I normally dont get too involved in the abortion debate. I think it is another of those decisions that the federal government should have nothing to do with and left to the individual states to decide. But in the case of partial birth abortions I have to chime in with those against it. This paragraph says it all as far as I am concerned: Anti-abortion activists call the procedure "partial-birth abortion;" surgeons and abortion rights activists call it "dilation and extraction." It involves partially removing the fetus intact from a woman's uterus, then crushing or cutting its skull to complete the abortion.Thats just barbaric. The Chinese use that method to enforce their population control laws. So the Democrats are following the example set by the communist Chinese? They must be very proud of themselves. ~RJHFox News story link Louisiana Becomes First State to Ban Late-Term AbortionsFriday, July 13, 2007BATON ROUGE, Louisiana Louisiana became the first
Another language feature added in C# 2.0 is partial classes. Partial classes are portions of a class that the compiler can combine to form a complete class. Although you could define two or more partial classes within the same file, the general purpose of a partial class is to allow the splitting of a class definition across multiple files. Primarily this is useful for tools that are generating or modifying code. With partial classes, the tools can work on a file separate from the one the developer is manually coding. C# 2.0 declares a partial class by appending the contextual keyword, partial, to the definition,. Defining a Partial Class// File: Program1.cspartial class Program{}// File: Program2.cspartial class Program{}In this case, each portion of Program is placed into a separate file, as identified by the comment. Besides their use with code generators, another common use of partial classes is to place any nested classes into their own files. This is in accordance with the codin

Okay, so if you think that maintaining a sports car is a hassle, try owning your own private jet. First you need to buy the plane, find expensive hanger space to store your plane, procure a pilot every time you want to fly, hire the service crew to get the plane ready for flight, get flight attendants and all the while swiping your credit card to pay for it all. Okay, so now you are in the air flying, you reach your destination and once again you have to manage the airport admin, and fly back. Then, how often do you really fly?Partial ownership of a private Jet makes a lot of sense. And at the forefront of Jet consortiums is MarquisJet. Operating the fleet of NetJets, you get the choice of up to 10 different plane models, from 6 to 14 seaters, with brands like Gulfstream, Hawker, Cessna Citation and Falcon. All you have to do is get your Marquis Card, book a plane and arrive and fly away at a fraction of the operating cost of owning the Jet. Privacy is guaranteed and the hassle non-exis
A business associate of mine, Markus, and I had a very good meeting yesterday. He owns his own printing and distribution company and usually makes a good impression in front of potential clients, tailored in Hugo Boss suits, Ralph Lauren shoes and the Breitling watch. He walks into every room with an aura of success: He owns the room. But he usually does something in every meeting that makes it hard for me to fully concentrate: When he sits down, he takes his car keys out of his pocket and places it on the boardroom table in front of him. I cannot help to notice the keys... Yesterday it was Aston Martin keys. Strange thing is, at our first meeting back in January, the keys were those of a Ferrari and the time after that it was BMW. So obviously I started thinking the printing business must be doing reaaaaally good. Let's forget online, it pays to go offline! But yesterday I walked him to the car. Yes, there stood a beautiful 2006 Aston Martin DB9 Vantage, its silver body gleaming in the
I certainly hope Spinelli is right, because Logan is definitely a world-class NUT job. I know there are "Lugie" fans sprouting up (is that the proper moniker?), but I just felt all of the Logan/Lulu scenes were so contrived yesterday. It felt...WRONG. Not just because I'm a SpinLu fan, but because it just seemed like something inserted into the script last minute. A random shooting? The "let's look at how much chemistry we have" slap by Lulu? But I digress. The Three Stooges scenes yesterday were precious as always. What I found hysterical was the way Milo and Dillon appeared a bit "Spinellified" when they ran into the diner to apologize to Lulu. Instead of their usual attempt to try to appear cooler than Spinelli, it seemed they both decided a little "spazzing" might be just what cupid ordered to get a little closer to Lulu's heart. (Well, it's working for Spinelli, isn't it?) :) The ice cream scene was just perfection, played to the hilt by all the actors. For the f

The opinion piece below appeared in the New Hampshire Union Leader.
When I read it I felt compelled by the emotion I felt to post it. I was disturbed by it, and at the same time it felt good to know this procedure will no longer be performed.
Warning: The article contains a graphic description of a partial birth abortion from a nurse who witnessed it.
This description was used by Justice Anthony Kennedy when writing for the majority in the supreme court’s verdict to uphold the ban on partial birth abortions.
Here is the piece:
THE U.S. Supreme Court yesterday approved the ban of a spectacularly horrifying procedure doctors use to kill perhaps tens of thousands of unwanted American babies each year. It is a tiny but significant legal victory for the voiceless victims of America’s thriving abortion industry.
The court ruled that the federal partial birth abortion ban of 2003 was constitutional because it eliminated only one procedure that could be used to kill and extract a
This is a topic already done to death by a host of others much better at it than I. My view on this is that the abortion proponents should have seen this coming. For decades the left has always had the upper hand in activism. And a tried and true method they use is what I think of as "baby steps". Think back to the early days of the anti smoking crusades by the left. They argued that all they wanted was a tiny small part of the workplace smoke free. Thats all, nothing more. But of course as soon as they won that small victory they pushed for more. And then more. Now you can't smoke (I am not a smoker although I was many years ago) in restaurants, office buildings, bars or even in outdoor stadiums and on a growing number of beaches. When on vacation to other states I was shocked to see people smoking inside restaurants or bars. On a recent cruise to Mexico I was more than a bit surprised when tablemates lit up Cuban cigars right at the table and then later in a bar on the s
Yesterday the Supreme Court brought some sanity back to the abortion debate by effectively upholding the federal ban on partial birth abortions. Though ALL abortions are heinous and abominations, partial birth abortions are particularly inhumane, gruesome, and horrific. The baby is within 20 centimeters of being delivered as a viable infant, and then the skull is either punctured or crushed. There is NO case which makes this procedure medically necessary and the barbarity involved completely blows me away - how could anyone in their right mind believe this is righteous and necessary? Kudos to the Supreme Court for bucking popular culture to roll back this crime against God and nature.
He took a little child and had him stand among them. Taking him in his arms, he said to them, "Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me does not welcome me but the one who sent me."

Ban On Infanticide Procedure UpheldTo hear the extremes of the abortion debate tell it, yesterday's Supreme Court ruling in Gonzales v. Carhart is the beginning of the end of abortion rights in America. The Christian Coalition declared that "it is just a matter of time" before Roe v. Wade "will also be struck down by the court," while Senator Hillary Clinton called it "a dramatic departure from four decades of Supreme Court rulings that upheld a woman's right to choose."Yesterday's 5-4 ruling is narrowly drawn and upholds a federal law that outlaws only a single, late-term procedure that Daniel Patrick Moynihan once described as "infanticide."The gruesome nature of the procedure explains why the partial-birth ban passed Congress with large bipartisan majorities. Sixteen Senate Democrats, including former Majority Leader Tom Daschle, voted for the ban, along with 63 House Democrats. Polls show that two-thirds of Americans support banning these abortions.Read Article...Addressing Doct
Abortion is one of those topics I normally don't delve into much here. I detest the idea of abortion being used as a form of birth control (and I am totally in favor of birth control) but I also hate the idea of the state insinuating itself into this most personal part of peoples lives. But...partial birth abortion is such an atrocious horror that dredges up visions of Chinese doctors forcing women into early deliveries so they can jam a needle of poison into the brain of an otherwise perfectly healthy baby. The article below is good for pointing out the hypocrisy of liberal members of the SCOTUS. ~RJHPro Life Blogs article link Justice Ginsberg Abandons Stare Decisis? Seems that precedence (stare decisis) of the court only matters when it serves liberal interests, especially abortion.Consider this comment by "Justice" Ginsberg on today's Supreme Court ruling upholding the partial birth abortion ban."and the Court's defense of it cannot be understood as anything othe
I don't often express my political views, but here is one I have no problem rejoicing over. Today the Supreme Court upheld the ban on partial birth abortion. Two days ago we lost 32 people to a cold blooded killer, a tragedy not soon forgotten. Yet every day hundreds if not thousands of innocent lives are taken through abortion procedures, with no fan fair. We've lost to may lives this week, this decision saved lives. "WASHINGTON (AP) - The Supreme Court's conservative majority handed anti-abortion forces a major victory Wednesday in a decision that bans a controversial abortion procedure and set the stage for further restrictions.""For the first time since the court established a woman's right to an abortion in 1973, the justices upheld a nationwide ban on a specific abortion method, labeled partial-birth abortion by its opponents." http://apnews.myway.com/article/20070418/D8OJ7CL00.html
As everybody has heard by now the supreme court has ruled in favor of the ban on partial birth abortions. While pro choice advocates are going to portray this as the start of the repeal or Roe vs. Wade, and the beginning of the end to a woman’s right to choose this isn’t quite the case.
According to the above article:
The law bans a method of ending a pregnancy, rather than limiting when an abortion can be performed.
So you can see from the excerpt above this ruling bans a specific method of abortion, nothing else.
This form of abortion, if you can even call it that, requires labor to be induced until the baby’s head is birthed and then crushing the skull. This is barbaric, and disgusting. It’s not a point of a woman’s right to choose in her third trimester. If a woman’s life is in jeopardy in the third trimester, why can’t they perform a c-section and save both the baby and the mother? She must have wanted the baby or she wouldn’t ha
The Supreme Court upheld the nationwide ban on a controversial abortion procedure Wednesday, handing abortion opponents the long-awaited victory they expected from a more conservative bench. The 5-4 ruling said the Partial Birth Abortion Ban Act that Congress passed and President Bush signed into law in 2003 does not violate a woman's constitutional right to an abortion.Click here to read the full Partial Birth Abortion Ban Act.The opponents of the act "have not demonstrated that the Act would be unconstitutional in a large fraction of relevant cases," Justice Anthony Kennedy wrote in the majority opinion. The decision pitted the court's conservatives against its liberals, with President Bush's two appointees, Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Samuel Alito, siding with the majority.Justices Clarence Thomas and Antonin Scalia also were in the majority. It was the first time the court banned a specific procedure in a case over how, not whether, to perform an abortion.Abortion rights
Dear America,I, Billy Crystal, do officially announce my probationary entry into the 2008 Presidential race. Long have I stood on the sidelines and watched others run this country into the ground. Well, not anymore. With the exception of Scott Bakula, I am the most qualified man (and I stress the word man) for the job. I urge you to vote for me, if indeed I do run, which is uncertain because I don't want to committ to running until I know I can win, even though nothing is ever certain and I am 100% determined to run, but it sounds better to say I'm exploring the options. While I don't have any "platform" or "campaign ideas" or more than a "fifth grade education," it shouldn't matter. What should matter is that I starred in When Harry Met Sally and saw Meg Ryan fake an orgasm in a restaurant. That is much more important than an Iraq policy or a stance on the genocide in Darfur. What's more, I can do voices really well, so instead of faking a Southern accent, I can do an outdated Ho
