Paolo Nutini announced on his MySpace page on Monday (June 2) that his scheduled June 26th concert at Summerfest in Milwaukee, Wisconsin has been cancelled. "Apologies to all those fans who were looking forward to the show but Paolo's main priority
Paolo Nutini is such a rock star. He's right up there with Poison, Iron Maiden and Ozzy Osbourne. It's been awhile since I've written about him, but clearly this warrants a post on EQ today. Don't ask me any details....
I never really liked Paolo Nutini, because I thought "New Shoes" (his biggest single in the US) was crap. Seriously, it's one of the most boring songs I've ever heard, and I'm going to stand by that. However, my friend who's a fan of Paolo recently practically bitchslapped me into giving him a second chance. I tried listening to "Jenny Don't Be Hasty", which I'm pretty sure was a semi-successful single in the UK. I really love it. Maybe I like it better because it's about shit that actually matters (being in love with someone who won't be with you because of age difference) instead of LIKING YOUR NEW SHOES. I'll never understand what he was thinking with that one, but anyway, the point is, he actually does have some songs I really like, and here's one. New feature for all audio postings: a "For fans of" tag, to help speedreaders of the blog skip what they're not into. For fans of: Razorlight, Lily Allen, Mika, Scissor Sisters, Ryan Adams, Sandi Thom, Tegan and Sara
