      Panda Bear - Person Pitch - 2007
Take PillsBros.I'm NotGood Girl/CarrotsSearch For DeliciousPonytail. Panda Bear: Live At ZDB, Lisbon, Portugal, September 2004 [iTunes EP, 2007]
This 16-minute "single" from Animal Collective member Panda Bear isn't so much a single as a live album, recorded three years ago at a club in his current hometown of Lisbon, Portugal.Only it isn't so much a live album as an otherworldly recording of three of Panda's already alien experimental-surf-tronica compositions smushed together and sounding as if they were performed underwater by bewitching, avant-garde sirens in a great, reverberating sea on Brian Wilson's home planet. Panda Bear - Take Pills Vinyl 7" Single
"Take Pills" is the fourth single for the Person Pitch LP by Animal Collective solo artist Panda Bear. While the title may appear to be an advocation of recreational drug use, the song is actually about his personal struggles with antidepressants. Along with a family history of depression, Lennox was told he would be on antidepressants his entire life. “ The song is about appreciating what [antidepressants] did for me at the time but wanting to get off of them, and to try not to rely on them if I could.[1] ” The song is split into two distinct halves. The first half is based around a sample from Scott Walker's "Always Coming Back to You," which appears on his first solo record, Scott. The second half is taken from the song "Popeye Twist" by the The Tornados. "Bonfire of the Vanities" was recorded live at the ZDB club in Lisbon, Portugal, in September of 2004.

Panda Bear - I'm Not-Comfy in Nautica CD Single
A Jukebox style 45 On War with its centre missing by Panda Bear called 'I'm Not'. I'm liking this very much. Sultry female vocals overlaid into a dreamy haze of twin peaks-esqe drugged up psychedelia. The flip is pretty tripped out too. 'Comfy In Nautica' is a blissful slice of underwater flower power with Beach Boys harmonies. Previously available on CD and now Fresh in on 7".

      Panda Bear - Bro's 12
Noah Lennox (aka Panda Bear) is a core member of Animal Collective. Multi-talented and hugely creative, he is both an incredible songwriter and an instinctive and natural musician. Starting out in Animal Collective as a drummer with his own very unique style, when we first saw Noah he was playing a mean acoustic guitar and adding his own distinctive, beautiful vocals. Since co-writing the universally-acclaimed ‘Sung Tongs’ and ‘Feels’ albums, he has slipped back behind the drums in AC, whilst continuing to add vocals and electronics. Besides his work in Animal Collective and under his Panda Bear alias, Noah also works in the duo, Jane, a more minimal, techno-influenced collaboration with his friend Scott Mou.Panda Bear’s material exhibits a fluidity and functional rhythmic accessibility stemming from a deep love of DJ culture; a delight in texture and depth; a playful use of samples and electronic processing; plus a foregrounding of sweet, poppy hooks in the vocal and instru

      Panda Bear & Excepter - Split 12"
Paw Tracks continues its sporadic release of split 12” records with installment number two featuring Animal Collective member Panda Bear and long-time NYC anti-music makers Excepter. Panda Bear previews material from his upcoming solo record with the extended medley “Carrots." Sampled beats and sunshine harmonies dominate. It’s a musical 180 from his Young Prayer record. Excepter expands upon their musical excavations with the piece “KKKKK”. There are five tracks within the piece, each one recorded live and edited later, each one chock full of dense dark Excepter-y goodness. Words are ultimately hard to come by for a band that is writing its own musical language. Together these two whip it up mean, sweet and sour.

[2007] Panda Bear - Person Pitch (Mp3 Download)
Review by Ned Raggett @ allmusic.com Starting an album with a clattering of industrial rhythms sliding into a huge clap-and-stompalong with angelic vocals and what sounds like the Brotherhood of Man on a vocal loop tip not far removed from Suicide or Laurie Anderson is one way to make a mark. The fact that Panda Bear, aka Noah Lennox himself, sings like Brian Wilson and produces his voice
