      Pancakes
This morning was bright and sunny. Maybe I could safely say that the dry season has started. The ground is drying up now after the rains have fallen for the past few months. The cloudless sky indicates only one thing to me; plenty of hot sun in our tail for carnival. Anyhow, this is the beginning of a good year.Since the morning was so nice, and a change from all that rain, my wife decided to make

      Fun with scallion pancakes
Scallion pancakes makes an awesome appetizer or snack. Well, the way I make them... they can probably a whole meal. Scallion pancakes are also known as green onion pie or Chinese pizza. It's not really a pancake, a pie, or a pizza. It's more like a Chinese flat bread made with dough, oil, and green onions. The literal translation is "green onion oil cake" or something along those lines. They are fun to order at selected Chinese restaurants and cafes. Luckily, you can also enjoy it at the comfort of your own home with little effort. They are available in frozen packages at the local Asian supermarket. This is the one I usually buy.The pancakes are separated with layers of plastic wrap, which makes it easy to peel. It's a very simple process.Basic directions:Heat a large frying pan with some

We were briefed about how popular this place is even before we made our way to this restaurant. There must have been this look of disbelief showing on my face, because my cousin actually took the trouble to drive past this restaurant in the middle of a Saturday night jam (jam caused by a lot of cars trying to show off their mods, macam la 2fastnotsofurious movie like dat). Ok so we saw a long line waiting to get a seat at this Pancakes on the Rocks place. To be frank, when it comes to Pancakes, I am abit jakun. Huh, what ? Some joker can open up a restaurant selling just pancakes ? You see, not only does it sell pancakes (actually they also have steak, and other stuff la), it is a very very popular restaurant in Sydney.Anyway, to cut the story short, we came back on Monday night, when the que is not that long. But still this place was packed. I mean business was brisk, no doubt about it. So we ordered this Pancake, Thai Chicken , some kind of Savoury Pancake. Can say, my first

      Pancakes
aqua bear cd mem On Thursday there was a mass trip to Ashford for pancakes. There were 14 of us in 3 cars! We arrived just as the main chef was going to leave because he had a headache. We were in there for 2 hours! Poor man It was a proper American diner replica. It was in a big trailer thing. The pancakes I’ll be honest weren’t that nice, but I’m going back for a hotdog!! After gorging ourselves on pancakes we went to the cinema, cos there were so many of us we saw 3 separate films cos not everyone wanted to see Resident Evil 3 - losers! It was brilliant! ok I’ll admit it wasn’t as good as Ratatouille which I forgot to mention I saw last week but still it was good! The driving aggravated my chest so thats now killing again! It was aggravated by the situation i got into when I got home too ;)! lol © admin - visit eruanna.net for more content.

      My "I Got Canned" Pancakes
Ok, ok, they aren't my pancakes. (Though you probably guessed that.) Sure, I made them, but the lovely Kickpleat at Everybody Likes Sandwiches provided the recipe. She only posted about them a few days ago, so I won't totally steal them. Click through to her site, you won't regret it.These pancakes are delightful little things. I've really been into citrus zest lately... the luscious, clean scent and flavor really speaks to me. I know this is true for the rest of you, too, I think I just wasn't listening before. The pancakes are dainty and fresh, and just the thing to start me on the first day of the rest of my life. I topped them with a little butter and maple syrup, but then I had more un-topped, and I can't decide which way I like better. I'll def. have to make these again... ya know, for research.I got canned, you ask? Sortof. I got the "you aren't a good fit with our firm" talk yesterday, and I have 30 days to find a new job. 13 How Swedes Makes Pancakes
Time to try our 13 steps to make Swedish Thin Pancakes! I remember when Miss Ass. Lifecruiser was here visiting once and we never got to bed and at 8 in the morning we started to get hungry, so Mr L started to make pancakes. You know, Swedes never eat pancakes in the morning - just for lunch or dinner and never with syrup on them like you do in US or Canada. We think that is too sweet for us and especially in the morning. Before we start making the Pancakes, I should mention that Pancakes are amazingly efficient as a bribe when it comes to dogtraining! My former dog Billy Boy, who was a mixed breed Boxer - Labrador, had problems in his youth to bark. He just never liked to bark. We thought that it would be good to train him to bark on command from us. As he disliked it so much, I figured that normal dog candy wouldn’t do to get him to do it, so I used Pancakes. He first tried to cheat by just making growling sounds, but the fact is: it only took 1 Pancake to learn him! In Swedis

      Mango Almond Pancakes
Weekend mornings are one of my favorite times of the week. Lazy wake up times (well, not according to our cat, who insists on playing leap frog over us at 5:00am in an effort to get us out of bed), a hot cup of coffee and a leisurely amount of time to do what I want. Surf the ‘net, stare out the window, rub a cats tummy. It’s all good. It’s also a great time to make a wonderful breakfast, and in our house that usually means pancakes or waffles. Occasionally we do bacon too, for Griffin and I. Mike doesn’t eat eggs, nor does he even want to be around the house when we cook them as he can’t stand the smell, so that rules out anything egg-wise like scrambleds, frittatas or french toast. I have a standard go-to recipe for waffles and pancakes that I love and it can be modified, adapted and gussied up in any way my imagination wants. We all like our pancakes in different ways. Griffin, when faced with the prospect of pancakes for breakfast, will inevitably as

Malpua with Rose-flavoured Rabdi (Indian Pancakes)
Everyone is familiar with pancakes and syrup, and its a dish savoured by a large number of people in and out of USA. But have you heard about the Indian pancakes?? Yes, we have a traditional dessert called "Malpua" (like a pancake) which is served with "Rabdi" (which acts like syrup). This is a popular dish in many parts of India (especially during Karva Chauth festival) and you can still see road-side vendors prepare fresh hot malpuas (while you watch and salivate:)) and serve it with the milk-based syrup topping. I enjoyed eating it a lot! A perfect balance of sweet and cream, it is an ideal dessert for any festival, Indian or not!!IngredientsFor the Malpuas and Sugar Syrup1 cup maida or all-purpose flour1/4 tsp baking powder1/2 gallon (about 1 litre) milk1 1/2 cups waterA few strands of saffron1 tsp cardamom powder1/2 cup sugarGhee(clarified butter)or oil for fryingFor the Rabdi (recipe described below)3 cups whole milk2 large tbsp un-sweetened condensed milk3 tbsp sugar2 tsp rose e

      Gall for Pancakes
Despite all the crap I’ve experienced before, occasionally there’s still someone with the sheer nerve to set me back on my heels. Monday night was one of those experiences. My wife, my friend Brett, and I had decided to grab some much-needed sustenance after barbershop rehearsal, so we headed to the local Perkins restaurant in Mason City which serves a dearth of both evening-type foods and breakfast goodies around the clock. As we walk in, we notice that it’s rather bare, but that’s not too surprising at 10:50pm, so we hang out at the counter for a bit. The waitress comes trotting up with a look of disgust on her face. “We close in 10 minutes.” What? Not even a, ‘hello’ or ‘Welcome to Perkins’? Ooooookaaaaay…. “So, we can’t get any food?” “Well, yeah, for the next 10 minutes.” As her facial expression is screaming, ‘Please, God, NO!’ “But you’ll be p

I remember something my Mum always told me (and still tells me to this day) when she was confronted with my distinctive, low-brow (and might I add, fucking Pulitzer-worthy) brand of toilet humour... "Ladies don't appreciate that sort of disgusting filth!" According to dear old Mum, the mere mention of a four-letter word or the faintest suggestion of acts such as clit-wanking, turkey-slapping or the Brazilian Pancake* would be enough to give any member of the 'fairer' sex a cardiac arrest, a cerebral hemorrhage and a fatal constriction of the turd-cutter all at once.Yeah?
