The Olympus Zuiko Digital 25mm F2.8 Pancake lens was announced in March 2008 to coincide with the E-420 ultra-compact DSLR, and occupies a unique position in the current market as the only fixed focal length ('prime') lens which is bundled as a kit with a camera body. In this it harks back to the 1980s heyday of the classic manual focus 35mm SLR, when cameras were supplied with 50mm F1.8 (or simil

Here's a recipe for a really yummy Korean appetizer dish. It's simple, quick, and very tasty! The pancake batter can be made from scratch with eggs, flour, scallions, and water. The pancake mixes are also available in small packages at Korean supermarkets. It's much easier than making it from scratch, because all you have to do is add water to the mix until you reach a good consistency. Once you h
The Olympus Zuiko Digital 25mm ‘pancake’ lens is an ideal general-purpose lens for any Four Thirds owners who value portability. It is first and foremost really very small, measuring 64mm in diameter and just 23.5mm thick. This makes it considerably slimmer than any other Olympus lens, and is almost one third the length of the already compact 14-42mm kit lens. It’s also very light at 95g, or

I am getting back to my dosa varieties after a long time . I thought I will attend to it with this recipe. Sadda pindi as I said, is quite a common flour at home. The Olympus E-410 was our Editors' Choice of cameras last year, and the E-510 was our travelling companion around CES earlier this year. We didn't think it was possible for entry-level dSLRs to get much lighter on their feet, but Olympus has pulled a rabbit out of the hat with the E-420, a teeny-tiny dSLR that gets even nimbler with the addition of a dinky pancake lens. The E-420 is a 10-megapixel camera that weighs a mere 440g. One-handed operation is no bother at all, and at 130 by 91 by 53mm, it practically nestles in the palm. Sure, small SLRs aren't everyone's teacup, but there's no denying the portability of this little fella.Images are raw or JPEG, recorded to CompactFlash or xD picture card. Wheat flour is a major ingredient in indian cooking, and as I enjoy baking, I am constanly making cookies, muffins and cakes with all-purpose flour too. So this weekend, I had an urge to make something gluten-free, more as a challenge and a change than anything else, so I decided to make some savoury gluten-free pancakes with gram flour; we actually call them "dosa" or "puda" in local dialect. Its a great way to toss up your favourite veggies into the flour mixture and cook up something special without much effort or planning. I opted for spinach and sauteed onions as my main ingredients, while a blend of spices add to the flavor and fluff! These spinach dosas are a great way to eat something healthy yet tasty, and you can enjoy these with any dipping sauce of your choice!I really wanted t

Alas, good weather did not coincide with the arrival of our Olympus E-420 plus Digital Zuiko 25mm f/2.8 'pancake' lens. The image samples below were taken under cloudy, cold and blustery conditions. All were taken with the E-420 noise filter set to Standard mode. These samples are primarily to demonstrate the 25mm f/2.8 lens, but will be useful in evaluating the E-420 itself. A separate article with ISO range samples is being prepared, so watch this space. We have included un-edited camera JPEGs (Large Fine quality, which is similar to what used to be called SHQ or Super High Quality) as well as the RAW versions of each image. At the time of writing only Olympus Studio 2.1.2 or Olympus Master 2.0.5 are capable of developing E-420 RAW files.Ian Burleymore : fourthirds-user
I’m grabbing a bite at a neighborhood charbroiler near and dear to locals’ hearts. As usual, the place is buzzing with customers and I’m happy to find a stool at the counter that faces large windows overlooking the street, instead of the kitchen. There are a handful of tables outside, along the restaurant’s perimeter. Those are also occupied by people enjoying late breakfasts.
In front of me, on the other side of the window, sits a family of three with a cherub-cheeked little boy. He is white, perhaps five, with dark brown curly hair and deep brown eyes. He sits behind a pile of pancakes on his plate. With each bite, he pours more maple...

Well, it is that time of year again. In the UK, Shrove Tuesday is known as Pancake Day (or Pancake Tuesday to some people) because it is the one day of the year when almost everyone tucks into a plate of pancakes. This year (2008), Pancake day is on Tuesday, 5th February. Shrove Tuesday is the last day before the period which Christians call Lent. Shrove Tuesday always falls 47 days before Easter Sunday, so the date varies from year to year and falls between February 3 and March 9.The name Shrove comes from the old word "shrive" which means to confess. Christians used to go to confession and were "Shriven" (absolved from their sins). It was the last opportunity to use eggs and fats before embarking on the Lenten fast and pancakes are the perfect way of using up these ingredients. The traditi
This large painting (16" x 20") was a commissioned piece I did for a very nice client who will be opening a Diner in a few month. I have been commissioned to paint four paintings for her. This is the first. Once the paintings have been completed I hope to post some pictures from the Diner. The Diner will be located in Bryant, Arkansas (which is located outside of Little Rock). It will serve home cooked meals with a retro atmosphere. Once the Diner is opened I will write more about it...stay tuned.
I just got an email from Derek Gehl I had to tell you about. Get this... Apparently, a whole stack of boxes containing his "Insider Secrets to Marketing Your Business on the Internet" courses fell over, and almost landed on one of his employees! (I can see the headlines now: "Internet marketing guru turns warehouse employee into human pancake.") Keep in mind that just one of Derek's courses contains 850+ pages, plus DVDs, CDs, booklets, and tons more... So having one of them landing on your head would NOT be pleasant! Anyway, Derek told me his employee was ok... but his courses weren't so lucky. Apparently most of them were slightly*damaged* from the tumble. A few scratches here and there, the odd dent, maybe a bent page. Bummer! But Derek is famous for being a perfectionist, and he thinks those copies of his step-by-step "Insider Secrets"course are not quite pristine enough to sell at the regular price.... So he's going to give them away at a HUGE discount! http://www.marketingtips

For the past two years and more, my beloved Kathy has carefully regulated the foods she eats. As with many frothing fanatics enthusiasts, it wasn’t long before her critical attention fastened on those around her with less healthy eating habits.
While I’m not quite in Scott’s league with his love for Cheese, I certainly enjoy food a lot more than is good for me. I almost never wake up hungry, and I’m often at work an hour before my thoughts turn to breakfast. At the office, culinary options are minimal, and I often settle for Diet Coke and Pop Tarts, known in Olympic circles as the Breakfast of Also-Rans® ™.
It didn’t take long for Kathy to suggest that I eat some of her healthy pancakes for breakfast, instead of my sugar-saturated fare. Her pancakes come fortified with egg, blueberries, steel-cut oats, and a variety of other complex grains which defy the body to metabolize them in less than five or six hours.
I tried ‘em:

hi guys, here some tips for cooking pancake
To make pancakes: Put a small amount of oil, cooking fat or butter into a pan. Heat until a faint blue haze is seen. It is a good idea to put the pancake mixture in a jug as this will make pouring easier. Pour enough mixture into the hot pan to make a thin layer. Cook quickly on one side until golden brown – lifting the edge with a small knife will help you see if it is ready. Toss or turn and cook on the second side.
To toss a pancake: When the pancake is cooked on the underside it can be tossed; however thin pancakes are often better turned. Hold the pan loosely in your hand, keeping your wrist very flexible and flick sharply upwards. With practice it will twist in the air and come down in the pan with the cooked side uppermost.
To turn a pancake: Once the pancake is cooked on the underside put a small knife under it and get the knife right to the centre of the pan. Lift carefully and flick over to turn.
I went wild! I decided with pancake, sausage and eggs (I like it over well). I liked the composition and color in this contemporary style still life painting. This is part of my on-going series in my breakfast theme series.Click Here to Bid
Sexy Hot Woman : Pancake Khemanit Jamikorn - Thai Girl
Pancake Khemanit Jamikorn
Khemanit Jamikorn has the funny nickname of Pancake. She was winner of the Thai Supermodel 2004 contest and has been making appearances ever since in all the fashion and gossip magazines and at various openings and product launches.
She was voted number 40 sexiest woman in the world by FHM Thai edition readers.
Hey there Pancake Tits. Yeah, I'm talking to you. You think you're so hot, don't you. Sitting there with no bra on with your nips showin' through. I'm on to your little parlor games. You're not foolin' anyone, least of all me. Don't even try to look down at your free newspaper on the subway. I have a free newspaper too, but I'm not reading it. I'm staring at your pancake tits. Yeah, I am. Why don't you stare at my formal business pants-suit. Oh, it's not the same, is it? Not all of us can make such a bold statement as you can, Ms. Pancake Tits. Or is it Mrs. Pancake Tits? I don't want to insult a Mr. Pancake Tits if there is one in your life. I mean, why wouldn't there be, right? You have everything a young business executive needs. You've got style, flare, a free newspaper in the subway, and pancake tits. As a young, up-and-coming female executive, I'm jealous of you. That's right, I want to have your pancake tits. That way, I can stop wearing thes

There are a few variations of Asian/Chinese wraps that I crave for from time to time. The Nanjing crispy scallion pancake, Taiwanese pancake beef roll ups, and the ever popular Chinese Moo Shu wrap. I guess today was one of those days when I needed an escape from rice and noodles, so some kinda pancake wrap it is. Well I certainly didn't really feel like going out and getting something too greasy nor did I feel like rolling out some pancake dough. Maybe a simple chinese pancake recipe to conveniently finish up some leftover tortilla wraps will suffice. For the health-conscious, there are actually low-carb tortilla skins (which are the kind I used). This isn't exactly the traditional way of making Asian pancake wraps, but after a light coating of egg white wash and toasted seame seeds and a quick pan-fry, I definitely find myself preferring this over the thick chinese sesame pancake bread or the fragile thin Moo Shu wraps. As for the filling, I went with some slow-cooked boneless beef s

flangracneig pgoramian Today is Pancake Day in the UK (do they celebrate it elsewhere?). I’m not sure about other countries, but basically traditional pancakes are eaten either as a pudding, starter, or as a full blown meal. Whilst some of you are screaming “Oh shit! I forgot the flour, eggs and milk”, and are running off to the local Tescos to purchase these items. For those of you who are left, you will enjoy a short story on “Our” Pancake Day, last Sunday, with myself and Han.
We decided to forgo making proper pancakes and instead went for the cheap and easy pancake batter mix. This provided our first discussion/argument, on how to make it. Han was adamant that the batter mix gets added to the egg and water, I was sure it was the other way around. After threats, promises and threats, Han got her way.
She was happy, I wasn’t.
To appease me, Han designated me as chief stirrer, a position I accepted on one condition: that I had a photo taken of me

2 cups milk
1/4 cup melted butter
1 tbsp vanilla sugar
