We've already seen aplenty of the Porsche Panamera. So its silhouette is a familiar sight now in picture. These new shots give us our first glimpse into Porsche’s new saloon and the interior door panels seem almost production ready. Porsche always waits until everything has been thoroughly tested, so don’t expect the super saloon to debut before 2009.One thing we're sure is is that it will come with a relatively practical hatchback rear compartment where most of its rivals offer the more traditional boot. The rear doors look a great size. Naturally aspirated and twin turbocharged versions of the Cayenne’s 4.8L V8 producing 400hp and 500+hp are expected to be offered. A 300hp V6 version is rumored along a hybrid model.Gallery: Porsche Panamera Spy Shots

Why? Because they certainly want a hybrid Panamera. Good thing it’s going to be available. That’s true. A hybrid version of the Panamera, which will boost fuel economy as much as 30%, is forthcoming. It will be one of the key variants of the Porsche's first 4-door Gran Turismo. The said version will be featuring the components of the Cayenne Hybrid which will arrive in the market by 2010.The Stuttgart manufacturer said that Panamera's interior has been designed with high-quality materials to provide comfort and elegance and rear seats
Just days after an amateur car enthusiast snapped one of the best shots of the BMW M3 Sedan at the 'Ring, an Autoblog reader snapped pics of Porsche's 4-door Panamera testing on American soil. Spotted driving on the 405 freeway in Carson, California, this green Panamera mule doesn't reveal anything new. However, the close-up shots of the side can give us more clues on how the real roofline of the car will be. Herschel Brown was cruising in his BMW 330i when he came upon this mule and quickly managed to snap some detailed shots. Head on over to Autoblog to view more images.[Source: Autoblog]

Cool, here’s a little preview of the 2009 Porsche panamera, kinda reminds me of the Porsche 928, my favorite.
At least three different Panameras are visible in this video — one blue example and two black copies — and they were filmed in various locations. One feature that may not have been apparent before is the Panamera’s hatchback, which is clearly visible as the car is being loaded up

Porsche Panamera: a four-seater GTCAR Online has snared the best spy photos yet of Porsche's new four-seater, the Panamera. Think of it as a four-door version of the 928 - a four-seater GT to bridge the gap between the hard-core 911 sports car range and the Cayenne 4x4.We won't see the Panamera in showrooms before 2009, with prices stretching from £54,000-£84,000. Read on for the full lowdown on the most exciting sports saloon to reach the market in years.[Source: CAR Magazine]Follow the jump to continue reading the story and additional shots.A Porsche saloon, you say? So is it a stretched 911? Nope. The Panamera uses a variety of different components plucked from across Porsche's product portfolio. You need the strongest suspension and brakes going? Sure, borrow them from the Cayenne SUV. You need a lightweight, sports car chassis? Here, use parts of the 911 Turbo platform. It'll be front-engined and rear-drive, at first at any rate; there's some talk of a four-wheel drive versi
Spy shots of the upcoming Porsche's Panamera sedan have produced an almost unanimous reaction from motorheads: it's fugly. Autoweek published photos of [what the optimistic among us can only hope is] a somewhat disguised Panamera. Their readers are not shy about expressing their sense of aesthetic affrontery: "this 'design' is just hideous," "more brand dilution," "it looks like an eggplant," and "Franken-car." Perhaps sensitive to the near universal condemnation of their lardy 911-on-stilts Cayenne SUV's design, Porsche has unleashed some preemptive damage control. "In reality," Stuttgart's spinmeisters say, "the Panamera is a lot more attractive than anything to be seen so far." Does that include the Maserati Quattroporte? Anyway, Cayenne notwithstanding, I have a hard time believing The Sultans of Stuttgart would let anything this gawky out of their styling studios. And yet, how could they make it better?
Here's Edmunds' take on the forthcoming Porsche Panamera: "Building a sedan might seem like Porsche is stretching beyond its limits, but the Cayenne's success proves that it can build more than just sports cars." Purists might argue with the use of the word "might;" for them, a Porsche sedan is like a Steinway electric piano. (Ferrari may make some fine GT's, but they never moved past a four-door mock-up, so to speak.) As for the Porsche SUV's "success," if we're talking sales, there's no argument there. Statman Frank Williams reports that U.S. Cayenne sales rose 10.1 percent year-to-date. While we're only contemplating the difference between 8877 vs and 8060 units ('07 vs. '06), that compares to 9833 911s (up from 9162). Equally important, Boxster and Cayman sales are relatively tiny-- and falling. Boxster sales sank 24.1 percent (2832 in '07 vs 3729 in '06), while Cayman sales crashed 12.1 percent (4732 in '0
