Most have a number of layers, usually more than four but can be up to eight or nine plus a wax to finish them.Gold can be painted first (after an undercoat) and then overlaying coats (when wet or dry - produces different edges) removed to reveal the gold or painted over the underlaying coats (stippled etc).A number of effects, with a bit of practice, can be achieved using washes of varying transparency, stippling with single or multiple colours/colours (within a range or from the painting), glazes etc. The objective while doing the frames is make them compliment 'the painting' and 'not fight with it' but have enough there to seperate the picture from the background.

He is used to wearing a fly sheet and mask in the summer and blanket in the winter. He can jump 3ft jumps, although because of his age it is done very seldom. Add the remaining ingredients and heat all together on medium heat. The mixture will begin to foam as it reduces. When it has reduced by approximately half, about 25 to 35 minutes, strain it through a fine-meshed strainer into a bowl. Reserve until needed. Note: The rum can suddenly ignite. For $125 and a trip to eBay you too can own one of many painted NES consoles.
