I was wondering when something like this was going to happen. Well in a press released dated last week NBC Universal has agreed to purchase the Oxygen Media for $925 million. Source “This acquisition increases our foothold in the advertiser-coveted young, upscale, female demographic, and perfectly complements our current roster of cable channels and plays to our strength of running and operating cable networks,” NBC Universal topper Jeff Zucker, in a statement. The deal is supposed to be completed sometime in November.  This will mean that Mo’Nique’s F.A.T. Chance will have a new home.  I really hope that the people at NBC don’t blow this deal with F.A.T. I’m not sure how many of you caught the new Fight Girls Reality Show on the Oxygen Network. The theme of the show (as well as the video editing) is very similar to Spike’s The Ultimate Fighter reality show. We checked out the premier of Fight Girls tonight. It’s a reality show on Oxygen, in its second season, which follows a bunch of girls training in Muay Thai fighting.
