Getting away from the seeming bleek situation developing in Giants camp, let’s talk about a tragic injury that I predict will absolutely devastate an NFC contender.
Al Harris is a bit overrated, and I think we all saw that in last year’s NFC title game. However, the Packers rely on playing tough press coverage and Harris [...]

9. Lost City of HeikeIn the late 2nd century AD, the Greek writer Pausanias wrote an account of how (4-500 years earlier?) in one night a powerful earthquake destroyed the great city of Helike, with a Tsunami washing away what remained of the once-flourishing metropolis. The city, capital of the Achaean League, was a worship centre devoted to the ancient god Poseidon, god of the sea. There was no

Days have past and you might not have noticed but we had some milestones: 15 years ago on April 30 the World Wide Web became accessible to the public. A lot of things have happened since those days. Like the launch of iTunes 5 years ago on April 28.All these things have become so normal now, it's like life started! But what did we do before we had the WWW?What did you do 15 years ago instead of sitting at your computer to learn, to entertain or get entertained, get inspired, get informed, share, find a mate etc. How did your do all these things without the WWW?
DHCP Service is the service which a lot of you use, whether you are aware of this or not. That is the service that delegates an IP address to hosts on the network when they are set-up for auto configuration. This service is extremely frequent on large corporate networks, but with the advent of Wi-Fi in So-Ho networks the DHCP service becomes more and more present in these environments.Short description of DHCPThe Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) automates the assignment of IP addresses, subnet masks, default gateway, and other IP parameters. The DHCP protocol operates at the MAC sublayer of the Data-Link layer of the TCP/IP protocol stack. The only distinguishable identifier of the client computers at this level is the network interface MAC address. When a DHCP client connects to

Capital preservation is one of the most important things to consider when you are trading. You may have a system that works, but if you lost all your money on 1 trade you cannot make money with your system. This is probably one of the most overlooked aspects of trading. The market can be very volatile at times. No matter how good of a trader you are the market will always give you surprises. A 200 point down day in the S&P can be followed by 300 point gain in the S&P. It can be stressful for someone trying to time the market. It is for this reason that many people believe that you cannot time the market. They believe buying and holding a corporation is the only way to actually make money in the stock market. In fact there is actually a theory out their called the Efficient Market

It is said that the new VC fund will be “founder friendly.” With messages being passed around the startup world concerning seemingly unfair pressures and disadvantages associated with financing terms for fledging ventures (see: thefunded), such a tag line may prove attractive to new companies looking for backing without having to sign off large percentages of stock/ownership or agree to otherwise unfavorable terms. Of course, as the old adage goes, the proof is in the pudding. We’ll have to wait and see whether Karim and partners Kevin Hartz and Keith Rabois can live up to such a claim - albeit an unofficial one.So far, Youniversity has not registered as a VC firm with the SEC or the state of California, where it is based. It is obvious that every website requires web designing to make it attractive in order to gain more traffic. What I believe is that layout is the most overlooked aspect of web design. Now you must be thinking what can be the ways of doing layout!! Well, to start with whitespace is a necessary task to perform while doing web design. By aligning the graphics or images on your website you can give it a sense that these images are part of layout. I have found so many websites carrying a lot of animations and images but, this generally makes the web page dull and the text becomes very hard to read.Web Design Company

At the premiere of Khoya Khoya Chand in a Mumbai multiplex, mom – daughter Soha Ali Khan and Sharmila Tagore overlooked Saif Ali Khan’s ex – girlfriend Rossa.
We saw Rosa making an entry in the cinema hall just a few minutes before the show was to begin. When she tried making her way to the VIP section, Rossa was stopped by the usher as she did not carry the VIP invite. Just then a male friend of hers came to her rescue and whispered something (probably the fact that she is Saif’s ex) in the usher’s ears and she was pronto allowed to go ahead. With a free seating system in this area, there were hardly any seats left and the Italian model had no option but to sit in the same row where Saif’s actress mom was sitting, a few seats away from her. While Rossa gave Sharmila one look, the yesteryear actress chose to look in front without turning her head to Rossa. (more…)
By Jeff PetryPowered Inc.'s senior marketing director provides some easily implemented techniques for expanding your brand's natural search footprint. Without a doubt, search is the centerpiece of marketing on the web. Over 90 percent of internet users regularly use the top-five search engines -- accounting for whats been estimated as an average of some 6.2 billion searches per month -- to find products, services and information. The Internet Advertising Bureau states its the single largest category of online marketing spend. Everybodys using it and everybodys doing it. So is your search engine marketing strategy reaching its maximum potential to get more consumers to flock to your brand? Because sometimes it seems to me the market thinks about it backwards. Youll hear SEM practitioners (rightly) telling you to focus on structuring sites the right way. But remember, Googles informal corporate motto is Dont be evil. Wouldnt that mean
Blog Design is one of the most important aspects of your blog itself, it is the front door, where people who walk in may already be on their way out if your blog is ugly, badly organized and does not have flow to it. Being a visitor to countless website I do and probably many other people out there too like organized navigation with some quick links to good articles.
Some people are still getting their designs wrong, they put all these recent articles in a column that is miniscule with a font that does not differ from their background hence making it a big blur. In addition to this some people decide that it is perfectly fine to stick five, six, seven or even eight 125×125 ad buttons on their site when they look as out of place as a rickshaw in the streets of new york.
GET SERIOUS ABOUT DESIGN
I am asking everyone to get serious about their blog design, if you want a new design but you don’t know how to do it…guess what go to www.elance.com and hire a web designer w

New Zealanders are often reminded of their larger, northwest neighbor of Australia. When it comes to golf, however, New Zealand has no need to feel insecure, as it's a sporting nation that loves the game and has numerous world-class golf courses to choose from, as well as great lodging and resorts. All it takes is just one visit, and most travelers will quickly see all that this remarkable island nation has to offer that makes it not only stand out from its neighbor Australia, but other countries as well. Because make no mistake, New Zealand can stand on its own as a world-class golf destination.
It was bound to happen. Now even a frown or grimace can get you into trouble with The Man.“Specially trained security personnel” will be watching passengers for “micro-expressions” that will reveal treacherous agendas and insidious intentions at airports around the country. These agents, who may literally hold your fate in their hands have been given a lofty, Orwellian name: "Behavior Detection Officers."Did anyone ever doubt that George Orwell’s prophecies in “1984” would arrive? In that novel, he wrote, "You had to live -- did live, from habit that became instinct -- in the assumption that every sound you made was overheard and, except in darkness, every movement scrutinized."In the study of “micro-expressions”—yes, it is actually a field of study and there are some who are arrogant enough to call it a science, it has been decided that when people wish to conceal emotions, the truth of their feelings is revealed in facial flashes. Along with Caballo (which lies 2 km south of the “tail’s” tip), it partially blocks the entrance to Manila Bay, and thus has strategic importance. It also creates a northern and southern entrance to the bay. (more…)

The other day I was walking to the subway in Manhattan and I noticed a Commerce Bank storefront: “FREE DOGGY TREATS… please bring in your dog!” Commerce bank has destroyed yet another “stupid rule.”
Most banks don’t allow customers to bring in their pet dogs.
Many Manhattanites love to go for a walk with their dog and do errands - like banking - along the way. What an annoyance to have to leave loved ones outside!! Or to make a special trip to the bank.
Well, Commerce Bank has targeted the community of dog lovers/owners in a clever way: No strings attached, dog lovers can treat their loved one… And perhaps do a little banking as well! (Unfortunately, for them, they did not advertise this on their website.)
Communities are populations who think alike, regularly congregate, enjoy spending time with one another, & talk to each other — especially about products/services that cater to their special needs… let’s see if

In online business, traffic is pretty much equal to money, assuming of course that your traffic is targeted. And for that same reason, the majority of your time is probably spent trying to drive traffic to whatever it is your selling. Many people are a victim of their own arrogance when it comes to getting traffic; are you on of these people? For most people, traffic consists of 2-3 sources, usually SEO, PPC and perhaps some paid text link ads. The truth is, SEO and PPC are great, but they're only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to traffic.Below is a list of what I consider to be the best traffic sources, in no particular order. After testing conversions on your campaign, you should try each and everyone of these traffic tactics, why not? Afterall, the more traffic you have, the more sales you will make, and the more money you'll have in your pocket. Then you can go get your wife that face lift she's been needing for the last 10 years (just kidding - probably more like 5 years).

Two young and aspiring social scientists - who we will henceforth refer to, for reasons of classification, as Agath and Regral - in the interest of academia, decided to take apart a marriage in order to investigate what it is, precisely, that makes the phenomenon tick (or not - as could well, and did in fact, transpire). As such circumstances tend to behave, things didn't entirely go in the expected clockwork manner (and this expectation in itself may be construed as an able indication of the philosophies, mindsets and, by extension, prior successes, of the idealistic young subjects of our historical study). The resultant report by Agath and Regral, copies of which were found among Agath's remains at his family burial site, deemed the experiment a failure - if, indeed, such a conclusion may be regarded by an unprejudiced mind as logical or meritorious of institutional validation - and some of the blame, it is inferred, was placed on metho
Jonathan Alter, writing recently in Newsweek, makes a plausible case that those of us who have discounted Nebraska Republican Senator Chuck Hagel as a credible presidential candidate are missing the Senator's obvious strengths. Hagel "has among the highest support levels for President George W. Bush's conservative agenda in the Senate" having "championed the president's 2001 tax cut, which many Republicans believe is the litmus test of today's GOP." It is only on Iraq that Hagel differs sharply from the White House - by taking a position that would seem to be more electorally successful than the administration's. Hagel's low name recognition nationally remains a major obstacle to him, but with both he and Sam Brownback coming out against the troop surge, the extent to which differing opinions on the war in Iraq will play out in the Republican contest now becomes deeply interesting. Alter's side-by-side comparison of Hagel and John McCain certainly highlights Hagel's potenti

No matter what you market on the internet at some point you'll face the issue of increasing the number of visitors to your site. What most people don't know is that there are literally hundreds of ways to get free traffic. Here we'll focus on three overlooked ways to get additional traffic to your site using a blog. The third most overlooked way to bring traffic to your site with a blog is to read and comment on other blogs. Now, maybe you've done this before but stopped, because you're becoming concerned about being considered a link-spammer. In that case, leave a link to your site after your comments, instead of in the comment form that hot links it. In the near future, blogmasters will be able to use special code to prevent spam in their comments section, so this will become less of a concern. Besides, getting clicks from people who re
