The Ministry of Industry and Commerce said clean coal output reached an estimated 4.25 million tons in April, an increase of 12.6% against the previous month and 18.3% on year. This raised the figure in the first four months this year to 14.3 million tons. Of this, the total coal consumption reached about 13.4 million tons, including 5.9 million tons for domestic use, an increase of 15% on year.
