Some solid and substantial information about the 3G iPhone has finally arrived. Kudos to Apple for keeping us in the dark so well. Despite their best efforts however, the new features of the iPhone have been leaked, some of them at least. The most notable, are GPS, and of course the long awaited 3G. The [...]
R&B artist Akon whose biggest hit was a song called "Locked up" appears to have fabricated and lied about his criminal past. Thesmokinggun.com reports that Akon never spent 4 and a half years in jail as he claims for being a ringleader of a stolen car ring. In fact the most time he spent behind bars is 2 months on a gun charge and was given 3 years probation. He does have a half dozen arrest and did steal one BMW but that's it. They seems to think it's a marketing ploy to seem tougher and sell records. The only street he been on is Sesame Street. Is he the R&B version of Will Smith. This dude sold millions of records on stuff he never did. His street cred is as stagnate as mine. What is going on? Has Hip-hop become the lastest reality show? Remy Ma is more of a man than he is. H

Here's a picture of Big Brother's Nikki Grahame being thrown out of a club."You read the sign luv, over 18's only! That includes mental age."OK, maybe not. She was actually thrown out of Faces Nightclub in Essex for starting a fight with another woman. You're kidding. She's spent the past few years since being in Big Brother doing nothing of worth. She doesn't add anything to society and has been a total waste of (a very small amount of) space. And the one time she gives us some girl-on-girl wrestling, and they stop her!

We first wrote about Megan last Monday. The reactions to the story were those of disgust, horror, anger, and outrage. Outrage over the death of Megan Meiers, a girl targeted by vicious adults. Outrage at the perpetrators of the hoax. Outrage that no charges have been filed. Lastly, outrage at the paper who broke the story, the Suburban Journals' decision to not identify the hoaxers. The names of the "alleged" hoaxers have been outed by bloggers. MySpace Cruel Prank Leads To Teen's SuicideA cruel and unbelievably vicious prank perpetrated upon a young girl has stripped away the Leave To Beaver veneer of a suburban St. Louis neighborhood. A fourteen year old girl is dead by her own hand, her parents shattered and in disbelief. There will never be justice for their precious daughter. Fourteen years old, Megan was a victim of a cruel hoax on MySpace. The end result of the hoax, Megan is dead by her own hand, the hoaxer exposed as parents of a former friend of Megan's. Phenom pricing outed - The INQUIRER: "HOW MUCH ARE Phenoms going to cost when they debut in two weeks? Well, we told you about the model numbering, 9500, 9600 and 9700 at 2.2, 2.3 and 2.4GHz respectively, and now on to the price. Moles at our German research division have pointed us to IT4Profit.com, specifically this page, which lists Phenom X4s at $247, $278 and $288 respectively. Add in a little etail markup, and you have something that more or less sits on top of their Intel equivalents. Not good for margins, but better than what they are getting on a mid range X2. "

Samsung i617 outed as Blackjack II: "The highly anticipated Blackjack II has been unveiled and it’s the Samsung i617. A lot of details are still hidden somewhere, but we do know that it’s running WinMo 6, the camera has been bumped up to 2-megapixels and HSDPA ensures wicked fast data transfer, which means AT&T is all but assured as the carrier. That’s not much of a surprise considering the original Blackjack was locked into AT&T. We’ll have to wait until AT&T and/or Samsung make an official announcement for pricing and availability. hunt) for the last year.

In what is like the start of a scene from Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, message board users do as they do, and critic everything under the sun, including corporate vice president of Global Marketing for the Interactive Entertainment Business (whew, gimmie a sec to catch my breath), Jeff Bell. One user specifically attatcked Bell’s performance (or lack thereof) at the recent E3 conference, and let his fellow NeoGAF forum users know of his distaste. Jeff, unknown to other users at that moment, went ahead and sent a PM (personal message) to that forum user, with the message, “And your contribution to society is…what?”
Well, this is where the Mattlockery starts, another forum user mentioned Bell’s Gamertag “BigDaddy801″ that he had said in a interview here (link), which of course matched nicely with the username Bell had picked out for himsef on the forums, “Bell801.” Another find was the 801 went along with another interview on X
WASHINGTON (May 1) - A woman accused of running a high-priced escort service apologized Monday to a former top State Department official outed as a customer, but said the testimony of prominent clients would prove her business was legal.
Media and Beltway insiders have been anxious to see whose names would be tied to the voluminous call records that Deborah Jeane Palfrey kept while running the business for more than a decade. Palfrey maintained the list of numbers but not names, according to one of her lawyers.
“She never kept a black book. She kept telephone records,” said Montgomery Blair Sibley, an attorney who represents Palfrey in civil matters.
Randall Tobias, head of the Bush administration’s foreign aid programs, abruptly resigned Friday, the day ABC reported that Tobias had used Palfrey’s escort firm, Pamela Martin & Associates. Tobias told the network he received only services that were legal, such as massages.

You know you were a baseball fan in the 80’s if… (Bugs & Cranks)A few days ago, someone forwarded me one of those mildly entertaining but mostly unoriginal emails titled “you know you grew up in the 80’s if…” which listed trivial overgeneralizations such as “3. You know that ‘WOAH’ comes from Joey on Blossom” and “26. You remember boom boxes and walking around with one on your shoulder like you were all that.”Rockies To Use Solar-Powered LED Board in '07 (The Biz of Baseball)The panels and agreement are between the Rockies and Xcel Energy. The 9.89 kilowatt solar array will produce over 14,000 kilowatt hours of energy, reportedly enough to offset the consumption of the Rockpile LED board over one year. In the walkway just under the system, a flatpanel monitoring system will show fans the real time consumption of the Rockpile LED board as well as the real time energy production from the solar array.Cardinals keeping Mark McGwire statue, like MLB steroid policy, i
We all knew - it's old news. Anthony Callea got outed on Sydney radio.Eye in the Sky reporter Vic Lorusso seemingly outed the singer after mentioning meeting Callea while discussing an old school mate on The Edge's brekkie show."You wouldn't know him. He's a nice guy but his partner, which is Anthony Callea, didn't want to know anything about anybody," he told host Christo. When Christo questioned the comment, Lorusso quickly continued with the traffic report.Funny enough I don't think anyone really cares as long as he's happy. Read the full story here. Also rumor has it this is his gaydar profile (but you can never be to sure on these things).
The majority of this morning's New York Times article on the auto-oriented provisions of the new energy bill profiles the industry's posturing, infighting and kvetching over higher Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) standards. To wit, “'We’re not whiners,' Dominique Thormann, a senior vice president at Nissan North America, said in Washington during a lunch with reporters on Wednesday, in a thinly veiled jab at competitors that originally fought fuel economy increases." Breeze through this politically correct interpretation-- transplants ready to rumble, domestics foot (not to say knuckle) draggers, Toyota playing both side down the middle-- and Michelle Maynard finally reveals some of the more important "details." For example, we learn that the bill offers federal loan guarantees to "help auto companies that invest in factories that are at least 20 years old to build vehicles with advanced technology." Hey! Guess what? The General
