This response was submitted on my post on supervisor harassment. “…I have several (5 in total) charges pending with EEOC and its been well over 2 years at this point I’m just amazed...after filing my initial complaint of discrimination, all forms of retaliation was a result (threats, denial of promotion, termination and ineligibility to rehire) I think what really pisses me off although I ne
The scare was over after Clayton's fever broke on Thursday. The poor little boy had to go for a blood test on Wednesday morning since the fever persisted for five days straight. I wasn't comfortable about feeding him medicine everytime the fever hit so after much thoughts, we decided to take him for a blood test.I had to tell you that he was one of those who disliked going to the doctor. He didn't
The Ordeal. I can't think of a more fitting title for this movie. Ordeal (noun) : any extremely severe or trying test, experience, or trial. That's precisely what this film is. A painful ordeal.Calvaire (2004) kicks off with Marc Steven's, a singer, performing for a bunch of old folks. On his way home, his van breaks down and, thanks to the guidance of a creepy dude looking for his dog, finds

Senator Edward Kennedy, D-Mass. was just diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor. I will pray for Ted and his family and I hope that he makes a full recovery.
When news like this hits we are often struck with the fact that we are not Democrats or Republicans we are Americans with Democrat and Republican views.
It's been a year already, believe it or not, since the whole Imus in the Morning ordeal began with a simple, yet silly comment, about the girls on the Rutgers women's basketball team. Since that time, amazingly, Imus has recovered from his dismissal, and he's without a doubt shown just how contrite he is.Throughout the week, we'll take a look back at the entire ordeal, starting with this audio clip of Imus' appearance on Al Sharpton's radio program just a few days after everything happened.
Most Filipinos call it "BILOG," which means NO VISA or "WALANG BALA." In Japanese context, "bilog" literally means circle or "maru." When you are "bilog," it means that you do not have any VISA or in our locally coined term, we call this "TNT" or "Tago ng Tago," which means always hiding because of no valid VISA. Whatever you call it, many Filipinos are caught day by day in train and bus stations by police and immigration officers.Last Monday, I had the opportunity to go to Immigration Office in Shinagawa with my friends from Kunitachi. I had the chance to visit a Filipino friend of ours whom we stayed in their house in Nagano when we had the skiing trip last month. He and his wife were about to rode in a tax in Shinjuku station when an immigration police stopped them and asked them about t
And from the webmasters resources site of Gecko and Fly; when I tried at Blogger Templates, none of those that I tried out seemed to load. I kept getting a throughly white screen with no template designs showing up for any of the items I tried to test. That was really strange. Fortunately, Gecko and Fly's samples work perfectly with no flaws, and this is certainly a cool template.
And with that,
aqua bear cd mem I hate insects, I hate them, their small, their dirty, they crawl and their crunchy. *shudders* I wont kill any insect though, Its cruel and unnecessary. I just don’t like to touch them, but Sunday night I had no choice!
I was watching CSI in bed at 2:30am and all of a sudden a spider crawled out of my pillow and ran along my bed right next to me, I swear to god I’ve never screamed that much when I’ve seen a spider before! After about five minutes of “omgomgomgomgwhatdoidowhatdoido” I managed to trap the little bugger under my bin. It was about 2″ so not *that* little.
The ONE night I don’t check under my pillows there’s one there. (yes I’m that paranoid) So he’s running around under the bin, which is now weighted down with 100 books in case he’s a body building spider and can lift the bin. I can’t find my bug spray, I usually sleep with it by the bed but we had another incident the day before tha

Innocent Target of File-Sharing Lawsuit Racked Up Legal Fees Fighting Baseless ChargesThe Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) should pay for a single mom's two-year legal ordeal fighting a baseless file-sharing lawsuit, the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) told Washington state court in an amicus brief filed last week. The nightmare began for Dawnell Leadbetter in January of 2005, when she received a letter from the RIAA that accused her of illegally downloading copyrighted music and claimingshe owed hundreds of thousands of dollars. Leadbetter contacted the RIAA to deny the baseless claims, and she refused to pay any settlement monies. In response, the RIAA sued Leadbetter, and Leadbetter hired an attorney to fight the charges. After months of legal wrangling, the RIAA finally dropped the case in December of 2006. But in the meantime, Leadbetter had incurred significant attorney's fees."Ms. Leadbetter isn't the only innocent Internet user that has been ensnared by t
By now no one in this country hasn’t heard of the strange case of three lacrosse students from Duke University hiring a stirpper for a party and her yelling rape after her job dancing ‘nekid’ (to quote the Reverand Jackson) was done. Now, most intelligent people know that the majority of these women do more than dance ‘nekid’. but that isn’t the subject here.. a woman crying rape is.
I wasn’t very surprised that the three were questioned without much evidence other than her ’say-so’. I was surprised that they were arrested, charged and sent to trial based only on that say-so.. and then when the evidence began to come in the prosecutor not only went forward with the case but hid evidence that cleared the boys.
Wasn’t it funny that the only sperm they found in her was from several men, but not any of the three accused? And then she had a baby.. never did find out if it was half-white.
And now over a year later the charges that
Well, I'm glad it's over too. The basic mistake people made was to use this case to make a larger societal point. Liberals used this to make a point about priveledged white students and conservatives used the case as indicative of anti-white bigotry and liberal blindness. I recognized this error early on and avoided the whole issue until it was resolved. My plea to my fellow Americans: Don't worry about the larger societal implication of everything. Don't root for anybody. Just hope that justice prevails. If they were guilty, they should have been punished. They weren't and they will be let go-justice. Justice also suggests Nifong be punished somehow; and not for incompetence (lot's would be punished wouldn't they?) but for withholding evidence he know would exonnerate the players. It seems very bad for public servants to root for incarceration.

Now home, the 15 members of the British Royal Navy crew held by Iran offer details on their capture and ordeal. As Fox News reports, the sailors and marines said that they were in Iraqi waters when they were taken, despite what was said in videos made by their captors where they admitted to entering Iranian waters and offered regrets.
Describing their capture, Marine Captain Chris Air said, “From the outset, it was very apparent that fighting back was not an option.” The Iranian crew leveled heavy machine guns on the Britons after ramming their boats. While held hostage, the crew was blindfolded for much of their 13-day ordeal and spent their time in isolation.
Though some condemned the crew for apologizing when they had done nothing wrong, Royal Navy Admiral Sir Jonathan Band felt that the crew “acted with considerable dignity and a lot of courage.”
Iran, though it failed to get a public apology, nevertheless got to show its strength and appear somewhat reasonabl
There is one thing I hate almost as much as bathing, and that's when the Tall One gets into her cage cleaning moods. As usual, she was very sneaky about it, opening the cage door and then waiting until both Miss Prissy and I took a break from sitting on the boring pink things. As soon as we strolled on top of the cage, she started dismantling it, even taking the bottom off. At least she has given up on trying to stick us in the small cage she used to put us in at cage cleaning times; I guess my sharp beak got the message across after all. Instead, she put us on her shoulder, and after a while we flew off onto the bookshelf. I don't think Miss Prissy knew what was going on, but I watched the Tall One as she took our beautiful cage apart and scrubbed it down. Now, I like a clean cage as much as the next tiel, but did she have to do this today? It's not like we haven't had an exciting enough week already! The pink things, the boiler, and now this? To let her know how I felt about it,
