The facelifted Kia Optima (known as the Magentis in Europe) is now on sale in the Korean market as the Kia Lotze Innovation. Interestingly Kia has decided to offer two different stylings for the car like what Honda is doing with its Accord. One has a more mature styling (the original) while the other is sportier, but strangely Kia has decided to offer both in the same market. The previous design is
If you've been diligently researching four-cylinder family sedans, then you likely know about the new 2009 Hyundai Sonata, which received such significant upgrades -- a more powerful engine and an all-new interior. Well, as Kia showed at last April's New York auto show, the Optima, which just happens to be the Sonata's corporate sibling, will receive similar enhancements for '09 as well. Which bri
We have first seen the 2009 Kia Optima at the New York Auto Show in April. For 2009 model year, Kia Optima received a mid-cycle facelift and a fresh new look. The update goes from head to tails, starting with narrowed headlamps, a trapezoidal grille that hints at a new face of Kia brand, and [...]

Only a few days after Toyota announced it would bring Prius hybrid to Korean market, Hyundai-Kia’s Chairman, Mr. Chung Mong-koo, revealed some facts about the company’s current hybrid car development and future plans. The announcement was made during his visit of Kia Motor’s factory in Gwangju, a Hyundai spokesman said.
Although the auto giant’s plans to [...]

At the New York Auto Show, Kia debuted the refreshed 2009 Optima alongside the Koup concept. New sheetmetal in front and back add up to a two-inch increase in length, meaning the Optima now measures about 189 inches. That compares to a 2008 Toyota Camry at 189.2 inches and a 2008 Ford Fusion at 190.2 inches. With the V-6 engine option producing just 190 horsepower, though, the 2.4-liter four is probably the better option. The four cylinder engine makes 175 horsepower, up 13 from last year's model and is actually in the same league as its competition. Transmission choices include a five-speed manual and a five-speed automatic with Sportmatic shifting. The SX trim line joins the existing LX and EX trims on the Optima, bringing with it a sport-tuned suspension, a black-bezeled front grille and
The string of Korean debuts continues in New York with the debut of the 2009 Kia Optima. Making its world debut in the Big Apple yesterday, the Optima receives extensive exterior changes, minor interior revisions, and new engines. The front fascia now incorporates Kia's new corporate look, but we question the existence of the two center bulges on the grille that appeared in earlier spy shots. The
In an earlier post, we revealed the first images of an undisguised prototype of the refreshed 2009 Kia Optima. The front fascia was the most striking change of all, as the soft curves of the current model have been booted for sleeker and sharper lines that Schreyer has become fond of. We have seen a similar change undergoing in the Spectra department.
From the undisguised images we posted, a Kia
Didn't I mention that Kia was on an ever-growing roll recently? GreyhoundBoy87 sent me the first shots of the upcoming refreshed Optima undisguised today, and the first impression is mighty good. The Optima, known as the Magentis or the Lotze in other markets, was released as a MY2006.5 model. The facelift imaged here will be the car's first substantial refresh and will debut as a MY2009 model in
The Attaché Optima USB Flash drive is apparently the fastest in the world (20MB/sec), but I’d buy it just because of the looks. It’s available in 4 and 8GB models, both Windows Vista ReadyBoost-enabled and featuring AES encryption to keep your files secure.

PNY 4GB USB 2.0 Protable Drive-Enhanced For Windows Readyboost
Now that we're on good terms with the French, I thought I'd choose the PNY Attache' for my next thumb drive. Well, that, and it was on sale at Staples. PNY says:
* High performance, low power consumption, non-volatile storage
* Store, erase and reuse. Attaché drives can be reused over and over without loss of quality
* Attaché® drives will perform in a variety of climates, weather conditions and temperature extremes
* Attaché® comes with a one year warranty
* Toll free technical support
I'm glad it works in a variety of climates. I don't really need it since I'm in Southern California, but it's nice to know that I don't have to buy a thumb drive for each region of the world (And, providing tech support for thumb drives must be a very exciting profession).

By Brodie Heinrichsen If you own a television then you probably have seen the old Tommy Lasorda commercials where he drank Slim Fast and lost all his extra weight. These days they use fitness models but the fact that we have all heard of Slim Fast still remains - in fact Slim Fast has been around for 20 years. Their weight loss program is based on substituting meals with convenience products – such as shakes, ready to drink powders, bars, and snacks. They built their whole program around their shakes – and are probably the best known weight loss liquid meal replacement program. Within the last few years Slim Fast has expanded into the on line world by joining forces with the weight loss super giant eDiets. The new on line presence allows Slim Fast to provide some of the usual weight loss tools for their members.Slim Fast has many good qualities – such as encouraging exercise, drinking plenty of water, and eating often throughout the day. People have been using this program for ye
Not too long ago, two images of a black Magentis with tapes popped up on the web. Many automotive bloggers and enthusiasts were unsure whether they were shots of the facelifted version of the Magentis or just a fancy showcar based on the current Magentis for next week's Seoul Motor Show. Well, the majority were correct and those shots were indeed the facelifted version of the not-too-long-ago introduced car.Spotted in South Korea's major international airport in Incheon, a member of BobaeDream took these low-res shots of the new Magentis, undisguised. These shots give us a first detailed look into the unexpected facelift of the competent mid-size sedan offered by Kia.[Source: BobaeDream]Continued- Article, more shotsFirst and foremost, we take a look at the front end and notice a familiar grille design. It hints the Ford three-bar grille, but it blends in very nicely on this car. The rear-end shots show a more civil look from the current Magentis and Kia also does its job there. New
