Chalk up another major blow to our Constitution from the five liberal lawyers in black robes on the Supreme Court. Their latest amoral, rogue ruling came down today. This from ABC News:
High Court: No Death Penalty for Child Rape
In a closely divided opinion today, the Supreme Court found that while the crime of raping a child is [...]
The Washington Huskies will have to open the 2008 season without outside linebacker E.J. Savannah, their leading tackler a year ago.
A Washington team spokesman confirmed that Savannah recently broke his left arm in non-football related activity and may miss the first 3-4 weeks of the season.
The injury may prove very costly [...]
Less than a century ago, Dubai was a small fishing village, a place roamed by Bedouin tribes and settlers who crowded around the banks of the creek. Today, Dubai is an extremely popular tourists destination and an important global economic player. If we take into account the fact that when Europe was being faced with [...]

I’m a product of public schools and so are my children. We got a great education. I flinch every time I hear libertarian Neal Boortz sarcastically call public schools “government schools.” Unfortunately, I’m beginning to understand his disdain.
While politicians fret over academic issues like No Child Left Behind, and educational associations lobby for more money and benefits, not much is being done to protect teachers in classrooms that are becoming increasingly violent.
On Thursday, WKRG News (Mobile, Ala.) reported an attack on a Murphy High School teacher. A student filmed that attack with his cell phone. In early May, CNN featured the video report (linked above) disclosing various teacher attacks.
The losers, other than the teachers, are the students who want to do their jobs and get an education.
Students who disrupt classrooms don’t belong in regular classrooms. They infringe the civil rights of every kid who wants to learn and of every educator doing a job th
If Ken Griffey Jr. is ready to play on opening day, he will be in right field. Cincinnati Reds manager Jerry Narron said Monday he expects to start Ryan Freel in center because Griffey is still working his way back from a broken left hand. The longtime center fielder was injured in the offseason while wrestling with his kids. "Right now, that's what our plan is. We would have loved for him to be available opening day to play center field - it just didn't work out," Narron said. Griffey, a 10-time Gold Glove winner in center, has taken fly balls and made throws from right field in practice. Narron said he was very cautious about deciding to move the 37-year-old slugger from his customary spot. "We had to make a decision. This late in the spring we need to get our club out on the field," he said.Griffey's agent, Brian Goldberg, said his client had known the Reds' plans. "Junior understands the team tells us where he should play, and that's the way it should be," Goldberg said. While
Open Season is a computer-animated film produced by Sony Pictures Animation and directed by Roger Allers, Jill Culton and Anthony Stacchi. It was released on September 29, 2006 by Columbia Pictures. It features a role reversal, with woodland creatures that are traditionally hunted teaming up against hunters, much like the classic Warner Bros. shorts. It has also been released in the IMAX 3D
When a domesticated grizzly named Boog (Martin Lawrence) gets lured into leaving the creature comforts of home by a fast-talking mule deer named Elliott (Ashton Kutcher), he finds himself lost in the woods just three days before hunting season begins. Forced to "rough it†in the great outdoors, Boog goes native, rallying all the forest animals to take back their home and send the hunters packing. Interact with Beth, Shaw, and all your animal favorites from the Open Season film. Throw skunk bombs, hurl rabbits, use acorn-firing squirrels, and pull outrageous woodland pranks to scare the pants off the hunters. Ride the rapids on a floating outhouse, zip through tunnels in a crazy mine cart ride, and take on more madcap adventures as Boog discovers how to go from "Mild†to "Wildâ€.
