Last week the Democrats/Liberals went after Senator Obama on his decision on FISA, after realizing what the Obama strategy is, they have backed off somewhat. Now the McCain camps goes after Obama because he hopes to 'refine' his policy on Iraq-- determine withdrawal, should he become president, probably not in 16 months, but 20 months. John McCain made claims that the 2008 election “is about trust and trusting people’s word.” Keith Olbermann asks if the American people trust someone who has flip flopped on so many issues? Is Keith Olbermann changing TV news? Olbermann’s Fox-bashing struck a chord with a core audience deeply sympathetic to the view that the conservative-leaning Fox News (“Fox Noise,” Olbermann calls it) has degraded journalism “in the same sense that George Bush lowered and made even more disreputable the Presidency of the United States.”
We know the odious Chris Matthews has openly declared his love for Barack Obama by famously declaring that just witnessing The Messiah gives him a tingle up his leg. Now it appears his unctuous PMSNBC colleague Keith Olbermann also has an odd twitch himself.
Keith Olbermann skewers John McCain with his own words, being careful to keep them in context, as McCain insists. He paints a picture of a delusional man who hasn't been honest with American people from before the Iraq war.

Keith Olbermann interviewed Scott McClellan tonight on the Countdown. McClellan explained that he felt led down and disillusioned by President Bush. No doubt, following his Friday Special Comment Completely Unhinged Pundit for Obama performance of the year, (transcript), Keith Olbermann spent the entire long weekend sprawled out on his fainting couch while minions dabbed his forehead with a cold cloth and fed him seedless grapes while fanning the man down from the hysterical fever he wound himself into in reaction to Hillary Clinton's mention

On Thursday nite, Keith Olbermann had this to say about NAFTAgate:Olbermann: For a week now, Senator Clinton has bashed Senator Obama and even possibly won votes based on the story that Obama had publicly railed against NAFTA while a memo by a Canadian diplomat claimed Obama's campaign secretly assured them his stand "should be viewed as more about political positioning than a clear articulation of policy plans"First of all, the memo Olbermann refers to was only brought to the public's attention on March 3, 2008 by the AP's Nedra Pickler - the day before Tuesday's primaries. Therefore, it isn't possible for Clinton to have been railing against Obama based on that memo before that time. (As an aside, Macleans' Luiza Ch. Turns out there's some been some actual news lately being broadcast by MSNBC. 90% of it has been on Countdown with Keith Olbermann. It's a nice find. As of right now, it's definitely my favorite television news hour. That said, however, it doesn't make the situation good. I'll be a bit generous and say that this show is news about 50% of the time. The first 15-20 minutes are topics #5 and #4, and they are usually great. Olbermann and his guests often discuss the wars and Congressional hearings. He also interviews members of the military and Constitutional scholars (note the "discuss" part of that. It's not a shouting match). After that, the middle of the show is a little hit or miss. Sometimes the show keeps going strong. Other times, topics #3 and #2 will be "he said/she said" Democrat vs. Republican stories, which are complete wastes of time. If you care, he's a pretty reasonable guy, which lately means he's been siding more with the Democrats. Topics #3 and #2 are also where yo

Anchor, ‘Countdown’
Updated: 9:59 p.m. ET Sept 20, 2007
So the President, behaving a little bit more than usual, like we would all interrupt him while he was watching his favorite cartoons on the DVR, stepped before the press conference microphone and after side-stepping most of the substantive issues like the Israeli raid on Syria, in condescending and infuriating fashion, produced a big political finish that indicates, certainly, that if it wasn’t already – the annual Republican
Keith Olbermann, last night delivered one of his Special Comments on his show, Countdown. Mr. Bush, you have hidden behind the General's skirts, and today you have hidden behind the skirts of 'the last question' at a news conference, to indicate once again that your presidency has been about the tilted playing field, about no rules for your party in terms of character assassination and changing the fabric of our nation, and no right for your opponents or critics to as much as respond."That, Sir, is not only unAmerican -- it is dictatorial. And in **pimping** General David Petraeus, Sir, in violation of everything this country has been assiduously and vigilantly against for 220 years, you have tried to blur the gleaming **radioactive** demarcation between the military and the political, and to portray **your** party as the one associated with the military, and your opponents as the ones somehow antithetical to it.
By Keith OlbermannAnd so he is back from his annual surprise gratuitous photo-op in Iraq, and what a sorry spectacle it was. But it was nothing compared to the spectacle of one unfiltered, unguarded, horrifying quotation in the new biography to which Mr. Bush has consented. As he deceived the troops at Al-Asad Air Base yesterday with the tantalizing prospect that some of them might not have to risk being killed and might get to go home, Mr. Bush probably did not know that, with his own words, he had already proved that he had been lying, is lying and will be lying about Iraq.He presumably did not know that there had already appeared those damning excerpts from Robert Draper's book “Dead Certain."“I'm playing for October-November," Mr. Bush said to Draper. That, evidently, is the time during which, he thinks he can sell us the real plan, which is “to get us in a position where the presidential candidates will be comfortable about sustaining a presence."Comfortable, that is, with
Yesterday, I wrote about the Michael Vick dog fighting case. Moreover, I made three simple arguments: 1) Pit bulls are not inherently evil dogs; in fact, they are great family animals; 2) Dog fighting is disgusting and Michael Vick should be punished to the fullest extent of the law; and 3) I posed the general question of why blacks are asked to defend Michael Vick and the “subculture” of dog fighting. All three are legitimate points.Conversely to Vick’s situation, white people are never asked to defend the worst elements of their Culture; there is a clear double standard. Michael Vick’s conduct had nothing to do with race, and yet race was interjected into the conversation to satisfy liberal templates. The arguments made in the original editorial were succinct, and easy enough for anyone to understand. While any reasonable person would understand the arguments, evidently, the lunatic Left who comment on our blog respond with the same nonsense only seen by liberal Professors
Keith Olbermann is a B-level pundit on cable news, which is not saying much. Childishly, he attempted to increase his audience size by daily naming Bill O’Reilly as, “Worse Person in the World.” Still, he gets abysmal ratings. With all that being said, he is clearly a liberal partisan, who openly supports the Democratic Party. Nevertheless, NBC found it appropriate to put Keith Olbermann on NBC in lieu of real News before Sunday Night Football. Could anyone imagine the liberal outrage if “The O’Reilly Factor” was on FOX’s Network directly before a football game? Of course you could not imagine it; it would never happen.Political pundits should not be on television during dinner time on a Sunday before the football game. We should be receiving a recap of the week’s news from real journalists. But, I will make a deal with NBC: If that is the way it is going to be, fine; then Rush Limbaugh should get his own hour-long show before 60-minuites. He would double Katie
Keith Olbermann is getting a shot at the big time. The New York Times reports (via TV Newser) that Countdown will be shown be shown by NBC on a Sunday before a preseason football game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Pittsburgh Steelers:

(In July Mr. Olbermann’s show averaged 721,000 viewers, an increase of 88 percent over last July, according to MSNBC.) Mr. Griffin added, “The world has changed, and I think people have come in line with the smart, focused approach he has on the show.” No immediate plans for additional network appearances of “Countdown” have been made, but Mr. Griffen did not rule them out. “It may be the first of several times you see Olbermann on the network,” he said.
Has the world changed in that people want the smart, focused approach, or are people getting smarter and want to hear views other
When I begin to despair of any mainstream American media outlet providing any offset to the roiling gasbags of Fox News, Keith Olbermann rises forth and provides counterpoint to this unelected administration and their policy of deception and cruelty. By now, you've all heard of Department of Homeland Stupidity honcho Chertoff's prophetic gut.
