      hands: dry, occupied
On my walk back from lunch, a young woman standing on the pavement in a cagoule stretched out her arm before me. In one hand she held a bundle of cards, and in the other – which now hovered increasingly close to my approaching face – she proffered a single unit from the pack.It was raining, and I held a carrier bag in my left paw and an erect umbrella in my right. Still, the woman proffered he

Owner-Occupied Properties Penalised by Property Boom: Property tax raised twice in a year
Owner-occupied properties, including the more than 90% of HDB flats, were penalised by higher property tax because the recent property boom has resulted in higher property valuation. Yet, owners of these properties have nothing to gain from the property boom, unlike property investors who see higher rental return. This prompted a Straits Times reader to ask: Fair for the Government to increase prop

Bank Owned - Vacant or Occupied? or good looking out....?
Rant: Do not park your vehicle in a foreclosed property -- unless you get permission first! Scenerios: White truck parked in the drive way of the property I was scheduled to check for occupancy. Why did I remember that truck? Well, when I first got the listing that truck was in the yard when we went by to check to see if the occupants had moved out.  So we took pictures and did not distrub the

Keep the Kids Occupied in the Hotel Room
Having restless and bored kids stuck in a hotel room can be a nightmare! Here are a few ideas to help make the time disappear. Story Time: Read and discuss a book or a chapter of a book, make up your own endings. You can even make up your own stories by sitting the kids in a ring and letting them "add a sentence". We've made up lots of really funny stories this way. Puppet Show: Let the kids make finger puppets from paper, help them to create a "show" with a script and characters. Build up a few boxes stuck together with packing tape, make the top one have an opening at the front and hang up a curtain (you can use rags from the rag-box for this). Let the kids practice until you get home and invite a few friends or family members over to watch the "show". Jewellery: Collect beads, buttons

Ceuta was invaded in year 1415 by the Portuguese then in 1518 by the Spanish. UN.OCCUPIED SPACES - Artivistic Montreal
ARTIVISTIC 2007[ UN.OCCUPIED SPACES ]25 to 27 October 2007 :: Montrealhttp://www.artivistic.orgArtivistic is an international transdisciplinary three-day gathering on the interPlay between art, information and activism. Artivistic emerges out of the proposition that not only artists talk about art, academics about theory, and activists about activism. Founded in 2004, the event aims to promote transdisciplinary and intercultural dialogue on activist art beyond critique,to create and facilitate a human network of diverse peoples, and to inspire, proliferate, activate. For the third edition of Artivistic, the expression [ un.occupied spaces ] was chosen to stimulate new ideas in response to the hidden confusions caused by the infinite networks of 21C globalization and neo-liberalism. [ un.occupied spaces ] dares to link the charged issues of environmentalism, indigenous and migrant struggles, and urban practices together through the angle of occupation. Quite occupied...
The weather is nice today, not too hot, and pretty windy. So, I had a fine time enjoying the outdoor. Our baby girl won't go to sleep so, I thought I would hang out in Tiana's tent. That was nice. I went back in the house, and put our baby to sleep. I had to give her a little massage just so she would sleep, otherwise she could spend all day exploring. She is so curious, and just wants to play all the time. Boy, she can surely keep me occupied.

Etiquette When The Bathroom Is Occupied: Part II
A few weeks ago I wrote a post asking my readers what they would say if someone knocked on their bathroom door while they were out in public using the facilities. Of course there were the customary answers, “just a minute,” “occupied,” “someone’s in here” and “one second.” But there were also some pretty ingenious responses. 13. “Here!” 12. “Yes?” 11. “Be done in a jiff.” 10. “Hello?” 9. “How-DEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!” 8. “Someone is in here, DUH!” 7. “Wait your (more…)

      Pre-occupied with my sideline job...
Hi everyone, I am afraid, I won't be able to response to your comments sooner-not as soon as I would like to, due to that I have such a hectic life. I can hardly get around to blogs I used to visit often, so, please excuse me for that. If I don't make it to visit your blog right away, I am just busy as can be, having a little one to attend to and a school girl to deal with, too, makes me pre-occupied. That is, especially now, that I have a sideline job; blogging, it is becoming a job for me but, it pays, so it is somewhat like a job-I'd say...LOL. I am always wrapped up with all my never ending house chores, taking care of our children, and blogging...LOL-I need a hand! Anyway, I'll eventually visit you as soon as time permits me. See you...!

Etiquette When The Bathroom Is Occupied
The other day while I was working out at the gym I drank too much water and as a result I needed to use the bathroom facilities. While taking care of business someone knocked on the door. What exactly do you yell from the throne to some stranger to let them know the potty is being used? At home a simple, “Yeah?” will do, but out in public? What would you say? And yes, I seriously want to hear your answers . Rudy says he would just shout, “Hello?”

Selling a Vacant Home vs. Selling an Occupied Home
There are two schools of thought about whether it is better to show a house empty or with the furnishings in it. An empty house is like a blank canvas, and prospective buyers can more easily imagine what their things would look like in it. But buyers could take the fact that the house is vacant as a sign that the sellers are very anxious to sell and, therefore, might entertain a low offer. Our recommendations are usually based on how the house would look. Personal taste is highly subjective.Unless your furniture looks really wonderful and is neutral in color and conservative in style, it could distract buyers from the most attractive qualities of your home. The fact that your home is vacant could give it a competitive edge when they make their final selection. Will it attract low offers? It might, but if the price is right, it will attract reasonable offers, too. Colorado Real Estate Resources www.danielsteam.com
