It can sometimes be difficult to discover your partner is cheating on your relationship. Not everyone who cheats displays the obvious signs that are common with cheaters. That is because everyone is different. There are also other reasons why sometimes it may not be obvious that you are being cheated on.

Dr. Rowan Williams, the Archbishop of Canterbury, who caused plenty of controversy in Britain a few months ago after he gave his approval to introducing Shari'a in the UK, has added insult to injury by slighting his own faith: he claims that the Christian doctrine is offensive to Muslims (Hat tip: Hot Air Headlines):

Brady v. Wal-Mart Stores (2nd Cir. 7/2/08) asks whether an employer can ignore an employee's obvious disability when making employment decisions about that employee. Patrick Brady has cerebral palsy, which very obviously manifested itself in his mannerisms. One trial witness testified: "Just by looking at him, you could tell he had a disability." He applied for a part-time job at his local Walm

Commando does not hold up well. At all. Don't believe me? Watch this:I don't know about you, but my favorite parts were the ice cream face and the killer soundtrack. Dan Hedaya hamming it up as deposed dictator Arius later on isn't much better. Commando was released in 1985, o
Strategy and the Fat Smoker; Doing What's Obvious But Not Easy by David H Maister offers the reader the motivation, tools and wisdom to achieve more than we might ever have thought possible. This is essential reading for anyone determined to succeed. We often (or even usually) know what we should be doing in both personal and professional life. We also know why we should be doing it and (often) how
The main concern with cross country rallies is usually reckless driving at triple digit speeds. However, with the ever-increasing concerns over the environmental impact of cars, it was only a matter of time before someone raised concerns over 200 or so supercars traveling 3,000 miles with single digit fuel mileage.
ABC News did, and calculated that [...]
Today, is just like another normal days, added up with the NO-ACTIVITIES again as usual. I'm feeling tired despite the fact that I just sit up in front of the television and played some games. Maybe it's time for me to play a real game instead, you know those games where people move here and there a lot. And if you were talking to me about games, I'm more than happy to elaborate about my game coll

Is not always the case for everyone else, apparently. Of course, that could have something to do with the fact that I knew what it was to start with.

The Good the Bad and the Obvious. Many of the things that are written in this article I would have taken offense to only a few years ago as a black man living in America. I am not exactly sure when my beliefs, morals and perspective shifted but what I do know is that they did, for the better I can only hope. I am in a strange position to experience, see and judge a great deal of injustice and inequities that are being force fed onto the lower economical sectors of America. I am also in a position to hear and debate those injustices and inequities with both camps and the results are nothing less than remarkable. Black America through the eyes of a white immigrant.A white friend of the family, who has always been a good friend, once asked me a question of a long road trip. His question was
If you're a TV actor, and you're desperately trying to get people to forget how Party of Five put a bad taste in everyone's mouth, do like Matthew Fox does - don't let go of your day job ("Lost"), join an ensemble ("Vantage Point") and somehow squeeze yourself into a big summer movie produced by chair/phone thrower Joel Silver. Speed Racer opens today. For all the kids under 35 who were young enough to remember their parents who remember the t.v. show, see this over What Happens in Vegas. Ashton Kutcher and #1 movie in America sound just as good as the sound of a suicide bomber just before he detonates the bomb.
We had a variety of Maddie-related tasks to do today - prescriptions, follow-up appointments & consults, and lessons on how to mix her medications - so when I woke up this morning feeling like my appendages weighed 1,000 pounds each I knew it would be a long day. I had a physical therapy appointment at 7am with a different therapist than usual. She couldn't believe all the knots in my back and nec

As Obama and Hillary move their campaigns into the final week before the Pennsylvania primary, it's useful to examine some past polling phenomenons. If you look at the tracking poll averages from just about every highly contested state to date, you'll notice strikingly similar trends.
Here's Iowa:
And New Hampshire:
And Texas:
And Ohio:
These graphs all show a similar pattern. While the spreads between Obama and Clinton a few weeks or months out were relatively large - 20 to 30 points in some states - as the campaigns headed into election day, the spreads universally shrank.
Now take a look at Pennsylvania's trends:
Again we see the same shape we've been seeing in state after state. So what's happening here?
First, the obvious. As it gets closer to voting day in these states, the two
Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke has finally dipped his toes into the waters of reality, admitting that real gross domestic product "could even contract slightly." He also discussed revealed his thoughts on managing inflation versus propping up the sicker parts of the economy, including rescuing Bear Stearns from an almost-certain wipe-out. From an L.A. Times story:Federal Reserve Chairman Ben S. Bernanke warned this morning that threats to the economy are far from over, with unemployment on the rise, prices for food and fuel growing, and real incomes on the wane...The Fed chairman said he considered inflation to be a secondary threat to the economy, citing a leveling off of commodities prices in the futures markets, especially for oil. And he said that he expects the economy to be on the rebou

Someone rightly said that statistics are like bikinis, what they reveal is suggestive and what they hide is vital. Now if you talk about cricket stats, you will always find players claiming saying that cricket stats is something the never excites them and that it is of very little significance to them. People say all kinds of things especially sports stars, but all of us know that anyone who has any kind of record or statistics in their name undoubtedly feels good about the whole thing. On closer examination of statistics you will find many facts being revealed to you which may not have been visible otherwise. Cricket Stats are vital for making strategies to take on any opposition on the field. In fact stats reveal such things which a person himself may not have been aware of, so imagine h
I blogged a few days ago about the BBC's new use of Flash video across the news website — my main question was to ask just why they won't allow embedding by others of their content. Or rather, why they will allow it when that content is nicked, republished on YouTube etc. (they aren't policing this with take-down notices) but won't enable it.As I commented, this makes even less sense when much of that content - yes, news content - would be of interest to exactly the audiences they are desperate to appeal to. Start with teenagers embedding news about climate change on Bebo/MySpace and think on. It's hard to see where the negatives are but presumably they think there are some.Of course, I tried to comment but actually gave up after re-hitting the button periodically over about eight hours.
There are several other assets that many people creating an estate plan fail to consider. The most commonly overlooked asset included in a person’s estate is life insurance, perhaps because the value of that insurance is not realized until after death. However, even though the death benefits are payable only upon your death, if you have life insurance, you must include its value in your estate
Is this woman citizenship worthy? It's hard to believe there needs to be a court ruling in a democratic country that says that one's religious expression should not be an obstacle to citizenship. But here we are. Give the Swiss high court credit for making the obvious ruling and overturning local authorities' decision to refuse citizenship to women wearing the veil. Sikhs wear turbans. Jews wear the Yarmulke. But, ouf! Muslim women wearing veils? We need a court ruling for that one. Swiss Court Rules Veil No Obstacle to Citizenship swissinfo.ch Switzerland's Federal Court has overturned two decisions by local assemblies to refuse citizenship on the grounds of women wearing a religious veil. Muslim organisations welcomed the rulings, which were announced on Wednesday, as a "step forward".
I am sure you will all have seen the Kellogg's boxes with Jo Frost (Supernanny) informing us that "Children who eat breakfast every morning do better at school than those who don't"What interests me about this endorsement is how rubbish it is.It doesn't endorse Kellogg's products specifically. Jo Frost's advice could apply to any cereal. It's also obvious. Anyone who has eaten recently will have the energy to concentrate as opposed to someone who is hungry.I look forward to more of Jo Frost's endorsements:*Supernanny could endorse the Metropolitan Police "Children who are safe from gun crime each day peform better than those who are at risk"*Supernanny could endorse Greenpeace "Children who can breathe properly and aren't at risk of floods do better than thoe who are"*Supernanny could endos
Of all the stories I've come across in researching articles for this blog this might be my favorite, or at least the most fascinating. Today we'll be talking robots. Rock 'em. Sock 'em. Robots. Yup, robots!Founded by "roboticists" from MIT, iRobot Corp. (IRBT) operates on the cutting edge of technology. iRobot's robotic offerings are targeted towards providing solutions to problems that are too "dirty, dull or dangerous" for humans to happily resolve. In the future robots may battle mankind for control of the earth, but for now they're happy enough to do our vacuuming and mopping. According to the company its robotic offerings will in time extend to a "broad array of markets such as law enforcement, homeland security, commercial cleaning, elderly care, oil services, home automation, landsc
Quantity versus quality – that’s always a business thought. In a business environment you sometimes have to choose one over the other. But when it comes to blogging and visitors, which one would make more sense? Is it that obvious? When it comes to the content within blogs, quality almost always beats quantity. Personally, I would rather read one great post than three average ones. Of course, there are rare exceptions to this but for the most part, people continue to come back if the content is good. When it comes to visitors, is quantity really better than quality? Would you rather have 10,000 visitors come in one day that would stay on your site for .0314 seconds then leave, but have the possibility of catching a percentage of that group to stick around, or have 1,000 visitors that will read your content, comment, possibly subscribe to your RSS Feeds and spread the word on how great your content is within your blog?I’ve been thinking about this a lot, especially using socia
I have been wondering for weeks why the Democratic Candidates have not pointed out to the American people that Hillary Clinton is simply unqualified. My only conclusion was that Barack Obama and John Edwards are less qualified than Hillary Clinton, if that was even possible. But, it looks like Barack Obama has decided to put it all on the line now because the stakes are too high to sit back and...

This is Spike. So Hollywood and I took the girls to the park this afternoon. It was as crowded as we have ever seen it. In addition to all manner of snot-nosed little kids, there were about 8 big dogs running around. Dog loving Pixie went nuts, hug-attacking many dogs as possible. We met one of the owners, a nice old lady, but when we asked her which dog was hers, she unknowingly made herself the topic of tonight's post when she responded, "Oh, he's the one with the tail."
It’s hard to find a girl that really loves you nowadays. A lot of women have money-oriented thoughts towards you and some are exclusively interested in their careers. This article hopefully will help you to find out if a girl is really interested in you or not. This is totally dedicated to Russian girls, because there are a lot of rumors about how Russian girls just want to use men to get to America. So, how can you tell if a Russian partner really likes you?

With the news in recent days about Olmert being willing to divide Jerusalem, also spoken about in this NY Sun editorial, Lieberman has pretty much stepped out of the shadows and shed his mask: Later in the day, Avigdor Lieberman, the leader of the hard-line Israel Beitenu Party, a member of Mr. Olmert's coalition, told a news conference he is ready to hand over some Arab neighborhoods of the
"You will be happy upon receiving good news."Um, fortune cookie? No shit. That's generally how it works. Good news = happiness. I don't generally receive good news and fall to my knees in despair and rent my clothes in sorrow. Can you even pretend to come up with an actual fortune for me rather than stating a known equation?
Here follows a big statement……..
Closure is a very good thing.
Something one must try and accomplish in certain matters in ones life and therefore not let it affect proceeding events in ones life.

7 Not So Obvious Signs They'reInterested In Youby Jennifer Good Have you ever met someone and then had the nagging suspicion that they might have more than "friends" in mind? There aren't always clear cut signs, but there are some not so obvious clues that people give…even when they aren't aware of it. The next time you need help determining a potential partner's interest level, use these seven tips as your guide. 1. Their pupils are enlarged when talking with you.The human pupil dilates when someone is excited or is having strong feelings about something. You can gauge a lot about their interest by paying attention to their eye contact. We often reveal far more than we desire through our eyes. 2. They seem to share a lot of common interests. If someone is engaging in activities that you like to do, or making an extra effort to be a part of them, chances are they're doing it just to spend more time with you. Take notice of how often they are asking or desiring to do things wi

A controversial plan to conduct virginity tests on female high school students in the West Java regency of Indramayu has been dropped following strong objections from students, parents and activists, as reported by The Jakarta Post on Monday, Aug. 20, 2007.The idea of the test came from Regent Irianto MS Syafiudin after a 16-year-old girl and her 17-year-old boyfriend, both students of state senior high schools in the regency, were caught having sex on video. The proposal has been turned down, but the regent's initiative reminds me of a test once in place in our educational system. It was in the early 1980s when I had just graduated from junior high school (SMP) and was busy preparing for an entrance test to high school (SMA), when a friend told me she had to undergo a virginity test as part of the requirements to study at a vocational school (SMK) specializing in nursing. When you meet a family of, let's say...eight, doesn't it seem a little obvious to say, "wow, you have a big family!!"? I'm sure most people say it out of intrigued admiration, but mom and dad must hear that ALL the time. So, when meeting my largest family clients Saturday morning, I tried my very best not to utter those words. Instead, I did what must happen almost as often. I screwed up on all the names--over and over and over again. To save my life, I could not get them straight. I have to admit, for the first time in a long time I was nervous going into the session. What if there was so much going on I couldn't capture the little "moments" I love so much? What if they gang up on me (this I found to be way too far fetched because they were all so sweet and well behaved)? What if I didn't get one frame worthy picture of each child? To get over all my doubts I had to loosen up so I could be ready for the little moments when they happen, and they always happen eventually
We forget sometimes that for some people, politics isn't just an enjoyable topic of conversation -- it's also a job. When you get laid off from your campaign, you need work. When a newcomer to the race has passed by the opportunity to hire the best people, it leaves that newcomer at a distinct disadvantage. The resulting confluence of these needs is obvious enough, and it strengthens Fred Thompson's campaign significantly. This only puts McCain further in the hole than he would otherwise have been.
I knew we couldn't get through a week without some soccer mayhem. It just doesn't happen. From Ananova:A football match organised to promote non violence among fans in Germany ended in a mass punch-up.Of course it did. What else would one expect? The violence started when five young players attacked a heckler who was kicked and punched to the ground, and then other players and fans waded in.A police spokesman said: "We had thought this game would show local kids that sport was a meaningful way of spending their spare time."Next time just pass out switchblades and methamphetamine to the kids. I’ve been spending a lot of time in Gmail lately and have been very happy with it since the introduced the ability for Gmail to collect your mail from up to 5 other POP3 accounts.
While the “pop” functionality is great, I still find it hard to reconcile the fact that while adding this feature, nobody appears to have considered that multiple pop accounts might require multiple signatures.
It really does put a damper on the whole thing if you have to copy and past a signature in each time you use a different account.
There are ways around this.
If you use Firefox could use Greasemonkey and a script such as “Gmail Tweaks: Multiple Signatures“.
I’m sure there are similar scripts available for other browsers but the problem is that these scripts are useless to the average user.
Most folks are panic and flee at the sight of code and all of the scripts I’ve played with today all involve some level of code editing in order to modify your si
According to recently released sales data from The R.L. Polk Co., 1.5M alternative fuel autos were sold throughout the country last year, or 50% more than forecast in the period. In Colorado, alternative-fuel-auto sales in the state climbed 17% in 2006 from 2005, according to the data. The survey showed that “Sales exceeded our expectations,” said Monica Sakala of the Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers in Washington, D.C.
Some of the appeal clearly stems from the miles per gallon a hybrid or alternative-fuel vehicle can deliver. “Certainly, some of it is because of gas prices. But the government is also playing a role,” Sakala said of the incentives offered by state and federal government. Other motivating factors include being able to drive in high-occupancy-vehicle or HOV lanes. Increased sales of hybrids can also be attributed to some companies leasing hybrids for their sales force.
I wonder if these numbers will continue to increase once the new 2008 EPA

In what the Senate must know is a doomed act they have sent an emergency appropriations bill to the White House to fund the war in Iraq but with a timetable attached for mandatory troop withdrawal. The President has said he will automatically veto any bill with a set time to leave Iraq in it. In a typically blunt statement President Bush told the Democrats dont test my will on that issue. I would agree with the President and General Petraeus that setting any sort of withdrawal timetable is a very bad idea. It just gives the terrorists the date that they know it would be safe to move back into Iraq unopposed. On the one hand I cant possibly see how the Democrats cant see this. But that is assuming they actually want us to win in Iraq. I think it is much more likely that they are just playing to their far left nutroots base. At this time the Democrats have freely admitted that they do not have the two thirds majority needed to over ride a Presidential veto so this is obviously

{summary}Sometimes I’m astounded by my own genius (and humility).
Scott and I were taking Rosco on an outing yesterday (more on that later) and I needed to pack a bottle to take along because I generally don’t enjoy nursing in public.
I don’t like putting rings and nipples on full bottles because no matter how careful you are, milk always seeps out for some reason. Instead, I pack the bottles with the lids that came with the breast pump and carry a nipple and ring separately in a baggie.
Being fresh out of little baggies yesterday (carrying a nipple in a quart freezer bag is just a waste), I scoured the pantry for anything else I could use. I was about to wrap the whole contraption in plastic wrap when I found a half-box of those miniature 4-oz. Glad containers. I used to use them for toting salad dressing back when I was in the workforce and carrying salads for lunch.
I put the nipple and ring in, sealed it up, and was good to go. W

The seasons are a powerful force in our lives. They affect the activities we do, the foods we crave, the clothes we wear — and quite often, the moods we are in. On Tuesday, spring officially begins in the Northern Hemisphere, while autumn starts in the Southern Hemisphere.
What is it that causes the change in seasons?
The ability to predict the seasons — by tracking the rising and setting points of the sun throughout the year — was key to survival in ancient times. Babylonians, Mayans and other cultures developed complex systems for monitoring seasonal shifts. But it took centuries more to unravel the science behind the seasons.
Nicolai Copernicus (1473-1543) radically changed our understanding of astronomy when he proposed that the sun, not Earth, was the center of the solar system. This led to our modern understanding of the relationship between the sun and Earth.
We now know that Earth orbi
OK - I'm NOT talking about the outrage I feel about the war...I think I've been pretty clear about my feelings on the subject. The article I've linked to is basically something that (at least to ME) seems pretty elementary. The headline?"Mental illness common in returning soldiers"Yep...it's right up there (which is where headlines should be...I learned something in my time at the junior high newspaper, you know). But the thing is, isn't it OBVIOUS that returning soldiers would be suffering from some form of mental illness? Come on. It's WAR, for God's sake, not a Tupperware party. You witness heinous things in war. You're separated from your loved ones. You're stuck in a different country with strange traditions, a language you can't understand, and going through extremes in every way. If you DIDN'T come out with a mental illness after all that, then I'd be surprised.I guess I get ticked at articles like this because they're stating the obvious, and this isn't givi

: Lampley must have read my projection that Floyd would play “the matador to Oscar’s bull” or perhaps “great minds think alike”. In a laughable display of highschoolish, amateur windmill flurries, Oscar De La Hoya attempted to busy himself to a decision victory. DLH would bulldoze Mayweather to the ropes and proceed to flail away with extremely humorous body shot attempts, including an occasional forearm and elbow thrown in for good measure.

Costas Efthimiou, a physics professor at the University of Central Florida has proved that ghosts aren’t real because their characteristics would violate basics principles of physics. He also did calculations that disprove the existence of vampires. Unfortunately, his research may be more needed than one would initially think:
More than 1 in 3 Americans believe houses can be haunted, a 2005 Gallup poll showed. More than 20 percent of Americans believe in witches and that people can communicate with the dead.
However, explaining to the believers in the supernatural that ghosts simply cannot exist because their existence would violate Newton’s law of action and reaction is probably not very effective.

Despite the heavy handedness meted down on their debut LP from certain quarters Sound Team remain a dazzling prospect. Sure, "Movie Monster' might not have had the thrill and cohesion of their extraordinary "Work' EP but it boasted lots of dynamically challenging pieces. Included on the EP but recorded within the influential four walls of the Daytrotter studios "It's Obvious What Is Happening
Way back in August the Salford Star sent six 'hoodies' into the Lowry to see how long it would be before they got kicked out. It took a whopping two minutes! The S.S. are frothing at the mouth. Why shouldn't six kids wearing hoods (inside) be allowed in to see artwork? Because the Lowry is a bag of shit, and there's a billion things to do that are far more interesting, and this includes kicking a can around the street and eating toast. Granted, it's a great venue for a show, but I've been around the place twice and consider it a big pile of balls. It's the wrong end of Regents Road for me, and on the off chance that I wanted to see something 'arty' I'd head to Urbis. Then if I get bored I can go to the Printworks and watch people fighting. The coffin dodgers who shuffle their way around Manchester ugliest building (I'm on about the Lowry here, not the Urbis. And by Manchester I mean Greater Manchester) would have filled their piss bags had they seen the six 'hoodies' walking
At ginkworld.net we have been spending time cleaning up the back door and adding some new features. One of those features is a php list program that enables us to develop a solid email list for "the evolution" our monthly enews letter. In looking over our back end we noticed we had "too much junk in the trunk" We found over 4 separate lists of people for different reasons; so we thought bringing them all into one would be a very cool and simple thing to do - well, cool yes, simple no. But in digging deep, we found some very interesting things..In our moving the lists around I noticed an old email list [going back some 5 years] of some 20 names [I am always amazed at how we have grown from 20 names to thousands of names]. In looking over the list I noticed a person I had not spoken to in years - many years, maybe some 5 years. So, I took the last part of the email and check into what he was doing [you know, taking the part after the "@" symbol and placing it in the addr
In life there're some questions, answers for which are fully predictable and asking these questions never serve any purpose. Still we keep asking such questions. This post list certain scenarios where asking a particular question is meaningless as the answer you get for these questions are obvious.1. To a film star after the release of his/her latest movieQ: How is your new movie?A: "It is an excellent movie, I'm sure it'll be a super hit, you should go and watch it, don't miss" (No film star ever says "This movie hasn't come that well, don't waste your time and money watching it" still news paper and television journalists keeping asking this question and get the obvious answer, mainly because they want content for their media but they'll never follow up with these stars if the movie turns out to be a flop)2. To a fruit seller in a market:Q: Babu are these mangos good?A: Yes madam they're very good. (No seller will ever say "my products are not good, go and b
Yup, it's a trend! This is our third example of safety advice so glaringly obvious that we can only assume its target audience will need someone with a higher IQ to read it to them very, very slowly. This time it's not a press release. It's an actual, honest-to-God story from an intern at the Daily Press in Newport News, VA. Katie Bahr lowers the bar for local drivers, telling them "When a school bus stops and its red lights are flashing, no cars are allowed to pass the bus from either direction until it is moving again, state law says." For riders, Bahr turns to David Benware, the director of transportation at Hampton City Public Schools. "Make sure the bus has come to a complete stop before beginning to approach it from the outside or — if you're on the bus — before getting out of your seat." We'll add that children should remain seated when the bus is in motion.

Apparently, the greatest hitting catcher to ever play baseball thought it was important to let everyone know (AKA: other teams, fans) that he is officially retired. Piazza, a 12-time All-Star, 10-time Silver Slugger, and 1993 Rookie of the Year was a free agent and waited around as long as possible ...
