Observing The Baby One night a wife found her husband standing over their baby's crib. Silently she watched him. As he stood looking down at the sleeping infant, she saw on his face a mixture of emotions: disbelief, doubt, delight, amazement, enchantment, scepticism. Touched by this unusual display and the deep emotions it aroused, with eyes glistening she slipped her arm around her husband. "A penny for your thoughts," she said. "It's amazing!" he replied. "I just can't see how anybody can make a crib like that for only $46.50."
Sometimes low frequency pitch conflicts are actually easier to see and correct visually rather than audibly! For example, first solo the main kick in your mix along with the other bass instruments in your track. Listen to this grouping at a moderately loud volume through the subwoofer only. You may hear conflicting, overlapping frequencies between [...]
Rick Noriega suspended his campaign website for 24 hours today, in observance of the over 4,000 Americans killed in Iraq to date and to highlight the failed policies that got us there:
Yesterday we reached the terrible milestone of 4,000 Americans dead in the misguided war in Iraq.
395 Texans and their families have paid the ultimate sacrifice and I ask you to take the time you would have spent on my website today offering them your prayers and your thanks for the heroic service of their loved ones.
We must also offer the country a new direction so that more of our young men and women are not lost.
It's a simple, moving tribute.
Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton each put out statements on the passing of this grim milestone. John McCain's statement was conspicuously absent - though he did fi
".. And just like a balloon with the last bit of air just, just right out of the balloon I felt my energy lift and I felt my spirit surrender. And in that moment I knew that I was no longer the choreographer of my life .."Neuroanatomist Jill Bolte Taylor had an opportunity few brain scientists would wish for: One morning, she realized she was having a massive stroke. As it happened -- as she felt her brain functions slip away one by one, speech, movement, understanding - she studied and remembered every moment. This is a powerful story of recovery and awareness - of how our brains define us and connect us to the world and to one another.this talk of her is perfectly scientific yet so spiritually powerful! why and how may be you can discover for yourself![>] Watch the video here(Recorded F
Today was an interesting little day in Reb-Ville. This morning I awoke (because, hell yeah! I actually slept!) and decided to take myself out for a poker tournament. During the five hours it took me to win nine bones, I...
Artwork courtesy of Love Peace HappinessI am experiencing the opportunity to observe Neptune up -close and personal these days as my partner has Transiting Neptune conjunct his Natal Sun in Aquarius. He will have this aspect for a quite a while, and thus, I'm getting the front row seat watching Neptune work its magic on him. Besides not being able to find anything right in front of him (he's always had this challenge and hence one of his nicknames is Magoo!) and becoming more disorganized and forgetful, I've observed the mystical Neptune influencing him. He's becoming more intuitive, more sensitive, and more drawn to spiritual and metaphysical subjects. For instance, all the spiritual books he purchased for me as Christmas gifts were books he told me he was drawn to read. Coming from a spo

My previous attempt at getting a handle on how collections are proceeding on Prosper following the arrival of the new VP of operations didn't go so well. I did not have a grasp on how successful collections impact the reported loan status. Time to try again.
At the beginning of each month, I'll download the raw Prosper loan data. It'll be processed to determine loans that increased in their
I read an article some time ago (and therefore cannot remember where it was so please let me know if you’re the author), that speaks about how even though many don’t see a difference between observance of the Shabbat on Saturday or Sunday, there is indeed a difference.
And I am writing about it tonight because it really got me thinking and seeing how true it is!

Sunspots are small dark areas on the surface of the Sun- They are causedby magnetic storms on the surface of the Sun, and they last for a few days up to many weeks. In an 11-year cycle the number of sunspots varies -every 11 years there are many more sunspots than a few years earlier andsome years later. When there are few sunspots there may even be longperiods with not a single sunspot.Sunspots are a little difficult to see because they are small and theSun is VERY bright. This is why they were not discovered in the Westuntil about 400 years ago by Galileo Galilei. Later it was discoveredthat Chineese and asian astronomers had been aware of spots on the Sunfor many thousand years.YOU MUST NEVER LOOK AT THE SUN DIRECTLY, OR USE AN ORDINARY TELESCOPETO LOOK THROUGH AT THE SUN! You can damage your eyesight forever bydoing this.Safe ways to observe the Sun and its spots are to use a telescope toproject an image of the Sun onto a flat white surface and then focus thetelescope until you can
For the law was given through Moses, [but] grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. John 1:17 NKJVYesterday, while reading another blog (that I thoroughly respect, for the record) I came across a post about observing the Sabbath and what that means for today's Christian. While what my brother in Christ stated made perfect sense, and he did attempt to back up what he said with scripture, I must beg to differ. My brother explained that while he is not a Seventh Day Adventist, he is of the opinion that the bible indicates that Christians should indeed practice the observance of the Sabbath on Saturday, as opposed to Sunday as many, if not most do. (Of those that observe a Sabbath at all.) Now before I go any further, let me say this: I do try to observe a day of rest. Can I call it a Sabbath in the traditional sense? No. I cannot. Why is that, you ask? These are the requirements for Sabbath-keeping: A person placed under that Sabbath law could not leave his home on the Sabbath (E
Jesse Jackson Arrested…
June 24, 2007
Jesse Jackson was arrested Saturday while protesting outside of a local gun shop in South Chicago.
The charge was one count of criminal trespass. When asked, Jackson refused to move away from the entrance to Chuck's Gun Shop in Riverdale. For the last several weeks, Jackson has been protesting with others in the community after a 16 year old honor student was shot on a city bus.
The police have said that the shooting was gang-related and that the teen was not the intended target. However, Jackson says that because the shop is so close to Chicago that it provides gangs to easier access to guns.
If you look at the preceding carefully and take into consideration the content, you can see that Jackson is either simply ignorant of the current laws set forth in America on firearms, or he’s just causing trouble for a small shop owner for no reason.
The fact is, to buy a firearm from a legitimate dealer
Could our sleep patterns change by observing our sleep habits? Part of taking control of your insomnia is done by observing your behavior and sleep pattern. It is so important to write down what is happening with your sleep in order to change wrong behaviors. You might feel like you can remember how many times you got up in the night, how long you stayed in bed or what time you went to bed but from my experience it won't be accurate. Keeping track of your sleep habits on paper is crucial during your road to recovery. This sleep journal will allow you to see yourself from a birds eye view. It's almost like reading a story about someone else. Maybe that's why it seems easier to help other people with their problems than it is our own---when you're standing on the outside you can see the whole picture. In addition to writing down how many times you woke up in the night, keep track of how long you stayed in your bed. If you wake up in the night you shouldn't stay in your bed
