If you read my last post, you would know that I was turning cautious on the dow based on several reasons one of which was a double top formation. Since that post which was only a few days ago, the dow has fallen and is now approaching my downside objective of 12300.

Today the transportation index hit my upside objective that I've been patiently waiting for since I first wrote about this index back on April 1st. I exited my long positions this morning into today's up move when the index hit the 5500 area. Below is a 5 minute chart of the Transportation index which shows the violent reversal this index had in the afternoon.

Now that CF.Objective is over its time to try to remember all those presentations we watched, or track down the ones we missed.  Luckily Todd Sharp has released a new site that will archive presentations online.  Its pretty sweet.  Trouble is, he launched it during cf.O and lots of people missed it since they were so busy (and had spotty web access). So this is just a quick request to the presenters, please post your stuff to SlideSix.com so we can review it.

The conference has gone well so far.  It is my first time at cf.o and I wasn't sure what to expect.  The attendance is great.  I think higher then organizers had anticipated.  The hotel is fantastic.  The room is huge, the food is good and staff has been very helpful and friendly. I haven't been to any sessions yet.  As a sponsor I am at the booth most of the time. I do have plans to attend some though.  Specifically the Intro to Model Glue (I hear good things), and sessions on Transfer and ColdSpring. [More]

I fly out tomorrow morning for CF.Objective so today I am double checking all my flights, hotel, bus and other arrangements as well as trying to finish up some quick code and square clients away.  Since Savvy Software is a sponsor, we will have a table set up, so I need to figure out how to fit all that stuff into something feasible to carry on a plane.  I did ship the mousepad/notepads ahead of time.  If collapse a 20" monitor and put it into my suitcase, what are the odds it will survive the travel? Subjectivity and Objectivity occur all the time when buyers are house hunting. I regularly used these two  literary terms  in graduate school, in my literature studies. I had to apply these terms to my literary research of novels, and essays. I had to determine which characters or heroes represented subjectivity and which, objectivity, and I had to prove my findings. How to be subjective and object in when house hunting: Every time we view a structure, or a lot that we like, we get emotional, and desirous of having that property. We view things subjectively, from the “me now” perspective. We think we have to have that. Much of what we buy is an emotional and therefore, a subjective experience. What follows is my roundabout way to back up the claim I’ve made before that Cuban music of the pre-revolutionary period is qualitatively comparable to the best non-Cuban music from the same era (post-revolutionary Cuban music is good too, but I'd have to advance a different argument). In order to back up such a claim, I'd have to use more than my opinion. I would first need to establish an objective criteria and then show that Cuban music would rate as high according to that criteria as music contemporary to it. One possible way to rate music is through units sold. I think this is generally reliable, as many of the best artists also happened to be very popular.
