I’m totally on team Mischa. This campaign is flippin awesome. If she turns up preggo in the next six months to a year, I’ll be disappointed. This is awesome though, for a few reasons. One, she’s like 23 years-old and she has a lot of life to live sans parasite, uh I mean, sans baby. Two, I really think more people should take this advice. It’s not expected for us to be married and pop out kids right away. Three, come on.

April 23 through 29 is "Turn Off TV Week"
I recently had the cable turned off at my house. Yes, I'll miss the NBA playoffs, but no, I won't miss cable in general or the bill that comes with it.
I've thought about doing this for a long time, but recent fee hikes and the near-adult nature of most "children's" programming convinced me it was the right time. I only watch about two hours of television a week, splitting that time between Lost and Prison Break, but when my children get bored, they rely on the television to entertain them.
Sometimes I'll sit and watch with them, but usually I take advantage of the free time to get some uninterrupted work done. The times I sit and watch with them, I more often than not get the feeling the jokes and gags are directed more towards me than towards people my kids' age.
I don't like that at all, but the shows aimed at kids their age are almost too childish and they can't stand them (likely the result of too much "mature" t.v.). The best sol
Yesterday, Girlie Girl and I went to her classmate’s birthday party at a local gymnastics place. She had a great time. I wasn’t impressed.
First of all, the place is big with a huge obstacle course that the kids go through. With all that space and 20 kids, do you know how many coaches were there to supervise? Two! Some of the kids were falling off the stands or tripping on cables. Girlie Girl ended up with 2 bruises and a torn toenail.
I eventually had to volunteer to help chaperone. Did any other parent volunteer to help? Nope! There were all too busy socializing with each other and not paying attention to their kids.
And don’t even get me started on those parents. A lot of them already knew each other from last year’s class so I went around introducing myself to everyone. They could have cared less. Talk about feeling like an outsider.
In any case, Girlie Girl had a great time with all her friends. For me, it was the longest 2 hours of my life!
