      Of Canucks, Crosby and Niedermayer
CANUCKS 3 HAWKS 2That was close. What a great game to watch. Lots of high tempo skating, some quality chances, and every goal except for Ohlund's 1-0 goal went off a skate, knee, or stick.-The Canucks got into penalty trouble again, but the Hawks only went 1-for-7 on the powerplay.-How about that....Morrison and Pyatt get 2 points each. Mo gets the winner. Nice line-juggling by coach Vigneault. It payed off.-Byron Ritchie was a terrific spark plug tonight. As was Kesler...again.-The Sedins-Naslund line looked mediocre again. Yeah, Naslund played his heart out, but the sisters look a bit 'off' to me. Hank took 3 consecutive minor penalties. Shorty talked about the Sedins being covered well, but I say they aren't skating hard enough and being too damned fancy with the passing. They are off their game more so than they are being 'tightly checked'.-Losses by Minnesota and Colorado and Edmonton....wahahaha, we lead the Northwest Division again!!!-Congrats to Naslund for surpassing Lin

Ducks and Niedermayer to call a press conference tonight
So we will finally get a decision from the completely confused Scott Niedermayer tonight regarding whether or not he will play for the Ducks this season. Personally, I couldn't care less. I'd rather he quit than make the Ducks a better team. He's also a douchebag for taking this long to make up his spoiled brat little mind and leaving his team and GM in limbo for so long. I don't care what he has accomplished... he's selfish. Time of the press conference: 6:30 PM Pacific Time. Unless Niedermayer changes his mind and makes it at 7:00 pm because he wasn't "inspired" to show up at 6:30 pm.T Tags: Ducks Scott Niedermayer press+conference

Scott Niedermayer may retire this summer
''Scott has indicated that he's thinking about retirement,'' Ducks GM Brian Burke told The Canadian Press on Tuesday. And why not? He has practically done it all: Stanley Cup, Memorial Cup, world junior gold, men's world gold, Olympic gold, World Cup of Hockey title, Conn Smythe Trophy and Norris Trophy. Then again, he is only 33 years old. But where would his motivations orinspirations lie now in order to continue playing? He has reached his goals.Scott Stevens (via TSN) had this to say: ''When I was playing with him, he never seemed, in my opinion, like he was planning on playing that long, or as long as I did,'' Stevens, who played 22 NHL seasons, told CP on Tuesday. ''I kept saying to him, `You'll have no trouble surpassing my amount of games and this and that.' And he'd say, `Oh no, you won't see me doing that.' But there's no question the guy can play as long as he wants.'' Time will soon tell. T Tags: Scott+Niedermayer Retiring Ducks

      Niedermayer fight
A big thanks to Temujin for showing us this last night. This is a little doodle between Nidermayer and Valeri Kamenski from a few years back. You gotta love what Niedermayer does afterwards, and John Davidson's laugh!
