We had Agility class last night - Ceilidh and me, Dax and Hope (I'll let Hope tell everyone how much fun they had in Intermediate class!). The big International Kennel Club show starts today at McCormick Place in Chicago - a huge dog show right here in town - and many of our classmates are entered. If they're not entered in Agility, then they're in Conformation, Obedience or Rally. And everyone wants everyone else to succeed. There's no sniping, no boasting, no superiority. I said it before and I'll say it again - Agility people are the best!

Outrageous. Shocking. It can’t happen in Germany but it did anyway. A Bulgarian woman left the competition’s behinds behind in Munich yesterday and won the coveted title of Most Beautiful Behind in the World.
Butt what about Germany, you assk? Ends up that the two German contestants (four cheeks) had to take a back seat to the 28 other competing countries. A real bummer for a nation so clearly obsessed with the past, I mean, behind. And that gets us to the bottom of the problem.
My haunch is that the German contestants, like so many of their compatriots out there, were too busy moralizing about the posterior to properly concentrate upon what is behind them right now. And this is what led to their early end. It all gets back to Germany’s lack of old-fashioned rearing, I assume. It’s a sad tail, but true. You know, turn the other cheek and all that?
Fanny thing is that the Germans will never fesse up this.

So PG and I are going to the wedding of some dear old friends this weekend. We've camped, played poker, drank copious amounts of Scotch, and even administered roadside sobriety tests to each other. I couldn't be happier that they've finally hooked up and are making it official.
It reminds me of a wedding we attended last summer for my cousin (or something like that). She's ten years younger than I (which makes her nine years old of course). She and her um...man already had a yearling baby (is that what you call babies that are a year old?) and were gettin' hitched.
I think I'll remember that wedding as long as I live.
The ceremony itself was pretty decent. Short, sweet, in a chapel that was also short and sweet. The reception on the other hand was like Deliverance Part Two, with worse hygiene.
