Hey there. Wow. This movie is just insane and what makes it even more unbelievable is that it is based on a true story! It's told via David's view so only God knows what else when on in there when he wasn't there. Some of the shots in this film just made me cringe... Especially the one of Meg, when you get a frontal view of her hanging. Just straight out chilling...The story starts off with David Moran saving the life of a homeless guy who just got run over by a van. He administers CPR and the guy lives. He then goes home, with his narrative, speaking of pain. And how one of his wives didn't know what pain is. Hey there. I love me some horror flicks. I stumbled upon a review for this movie and I must say, I'm looking forward to watching this. Stephen King says, "This is the dark-side-of-the-moon version of Stand By Me". High praise from who many consider to be the king of horror. I haven't seen the movie yet but it I should be getting it soon. I was a little disappointed because I thought I was gonna get this in this weekend's Netflix shipment, but alas, it wasn't to be. I saw the school play tonight, the boys next door. It was great. I loved it. Funny, sad, touching, and all around amusing. Wonderful acting. I was amazed at the talent. Plays in college are NOTHING like plays in high school. I want to see more next year!

Recently, when looking for some music to listen to, I came across an album by Sia. I started to play it, but something in me reacted strongly against this. Exploring this, I was shocked to find the source of the hesitation. A song from this album, “Breathe Me”, had been featured in its entirety on the final episode of the television show Six Feet Under. The sequence on the show had been poignant. While the song played, the exploits and eventual endings of the show’s characters had been played out; down to the trademark “r.i.p.” screen for each member of the cast. This had been a pretty powerful way to say goodbye to both the viewers and characters alike. It was almost a statement that there would be no more of any of them, as they were all dead.

As I promised a revisit not long ago, I ventured back to Teresa’s Next Door for a look at the evening shift this past weekend. I love the Addams Family. Yes, I am talking about the 1960's era tv show that starred some ghoulish but pretty darn funny characters. I only found out recently that the tv show was based off a comic strip often printed in the New York Times and created by Charles Addams. Ever since the first Addams Family movie came out about 10 years ago I'm like a toddler watching The Wiggles. Enraptured!So today while getting ready to log on to my Etsy account I happened to spot this art from "Dance Sippy Dance" called "the family next door". We are a small restaurant (when compared to giants such as Applebee’s, Chili’s and Outback). Our maximum occupancy is somewhere just above 100. (Go and count how many people are at Red Lobster next time you’re there.)
That said, we remember a lot of faces. It’s easy when you only see 150 of them any given night. And regulars are even easier to remember. We have a limited menu and they usually order the same thing. It’s hell remembering John Smith for his name but if you ask me how many helpings of shrimp sauce that dude wants, I won’t even blink before I tell you “three”.
My co-worker, Sami, had a gentleman (and I use that term loosely) sitting all alone at one of our hibachi tables. He had applied to be a chef six months prior but had been rejected for two reasons:
