Hello,Flowers are blooming, birds are chirping, what is there not to like about Spring? Doug and I photographed a funky couple - Kim and Edgar - at Newport Beach (near Corona Del Mar). This beach is a quiet retreat where Kim always goes to when she needs to escape the daily rat race. Newport Beach is also a great location for whale watching! Unfortunately, we did not see any whales. Instead, lots of dolphins greeted the couple near the coastline! They were surprisingly close! It's 3 minutes till hump day and I'm already thinking about the weekend. This particular weekend is a very special weekend - Labor Day weekend. All the students are on their way back and dreading the first week of school while Ikea employees everywhere are bracing for impact.The best advice I can give to the Bostonians in our fair city, is to get out of Dodge for the weekend. Chase Law School student volunteers leveraged a government program to bring more than $900,000 to Newport residents.The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program was open every Saturday from Jan. 27 to April 15 to assist low-income families in preparing tax returns and taking advantage of the earned income tax credit. You could use long arms-but that won’t work in an eight-foot tunnel. You could use a soft plastic pole-but it won’t get past a Y-split or twisting turn in the burrow. Or, you could call a plumber. A plumber?
